We werent the only ones with the same idea--we waited in a long line of ice cream lovers--but it was so worth it!I had a rich creamy scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream, and a scoop of Cherry Almond Ice Cream in a crisp Chocolate Waffle cone--it was amazingly wonderful on my taste buds. My partner enjoyed having a scoop of Bourbon Ice Cream--he enjoyed it!This business is on a corner of what appears to be an old alley, in which there are some really cute businesses to walk by in look in the windows while licking your luscious ice cream cones.This was a great find!!!

Delicious and worth the wait! I had the salted caramel and rocky road on a waffle cone. It was the best salted caramel I’ve had in a long time, tasted like actual caramel and not just salty/sweet vanilla. The waffle cone was great, home made and subtly sweet. My sister had the vegan cookies n’ cream and the strawberry. She enjoyed hers as well! I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

I only came here once and I fell in love with this place. Its in a cute little alleyway and if I wasnt on a diet, I would come here a lot more often. The shop is very modern and they have a variety of everyday flavors and new, almost exotic, flavors. I had the oatmeal raisin and the pistachio. omg I loved the pistachio! I 100% recommend

The lines are always long but definitely worth lining up for. They have plenty of flavors but my all time favorite would be the Bicycle Co. Coffee. My kids and I are obsessed with their waffle cone. Stop by and try this spot.

Really good pistachio and earl grey but that’s about it. Didn’t like the strawberry - it’s too sorbet tasting and not milky at all. The young coconut was ok. Vanilla bourbon was good. The chocolate cone was weird.. overall, I’d only get the pistachio here. Very unique flavor! (Make sure it’s the dairy pistachio and not vegan).

A creamery offering a large range of excellent vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free sorbets. Dark chocolate sorbet is really excellent, but I am never enjoyed (and I am experienced!) such an excellent coconut sorbet: an awesome taste, a great texture, a reference! A friendly and caring staff, a lovely place, very reasonable prices. Definitely a référence for sorbets (and surely dairy ice creams).

Only place Ive ever seen that sells strawberry rhubarb pie by the slice. If youre vegan, this is the ice cream spot for you. Even if youre not, the flavors hit the spot.

Incredible soft serve but they have an absurd mask policy - I get protecting your employees but it’s no longer in line with state or federalRegulations to require masks of customers. Additionally their operation is open air and they have almost a complete divider of plexi glass between employees and customers. I think it is detrimental to efforts to inform vaccine doubters and the like to have policys that don’t make sense with the latest policy and information regarding Covid.

Tasty flavors, lots of vegan options!

Ive come here many times, with and without my kids. They have very delicious ice cream (cashew and diary), cashew-based soft serve, ice cream cookie sandwiches, and a few toppings. Everything Ive had is excellent. The prices are average. The wait can be 20 minutes on a nice day (any time of year), so keep that in mind if your kids are with you.

Probably the best pistachio ice cream I’ve tasted in the US so far. Why is it important? After vanilla and chocolate, it’s the third most common flavor in Turkey, where I’m from, and usually pretty good anywhere you have it. I’ve been looking for a good one here but hadn’t seen any, including packed ones big stores. Glad I tried it here today. Will come back again.

I was picking up for someone else but there were so many signs that said no this and no that. It had at least 6 to 10 signs that said no mask no service and the place is the size of a childs bedroom. It had at least 5 to 10 signs that said no more than 3 at a time (better instructions than the mask sign being EVERYWHERE. i just wanted 1 sign to tell me more about the icecream. Never saw it. Just names of flavors. That place is just a turn off for my concious. Such small portions for the price and all that i surely observed. Theres more i would post about it but i highly doubt id ever patronize the place .

Amazing vegan gelato selection in a neat location. It is so hard to find dairy free gelato that actually tastes like the real deal, and curbside creamery has done an amazing job of creating delicious gelato that is dairy free. We are obsessed with the pistachio and dark chocolate. They even have vegan soft serve which I’ve never seen anywhere else. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for dairy free gelatos. Quick note is that many of the dairy free options are nut based for anyone with a nut allergy!

I am an ice cream fanatic and Curbside Creamery is so good. There ice cream is so creamy and delicious. They also have lots of vegan options, which was great. The location is awesome to, so it is easy to grab some ice cream and shop. I hope to come back here some time soon!

LOVE THE VEGAN ICE CREAM!!! Couldnt believe how many vegan flavors there were. I had the cookies and creme and dark chocolate and it was absolutely amazing. Love love love the fact there is no plastic. Love the reusable cups for water and metal spoons to try the ice cream flavors. You guys ROCK! Only downfall is that I wish the cookie ice cream sandwiches werent premade or that there are fresh cookies that you could get with a scoop of ice cream. Love you guys though!

My family and I love this place. But who doesnt? I love love love that the vegan options are clearly marked, and even better, they have more than one vegan option. They also have syrups, sprinkles, and pie that are vegan-friendly! All their cones are vegan friendly. It is a small shop, but there is some seating outside in a cute little alley with small shops.Weve gone during the day and at night - even cold weather wont stop us from grabbing some ice cream from Curbside Creamery!

The Thai tea ice cream is decent. The service last night was horrendous. From the bad attitudes from the two ladies behind the counter to the dropped ice cream because one of the ladies behind the counter was quite clumsy.. they arent accepting cash at this time and they wont be making another penny off of me anyway 🤷‍♂️ worst creamery to date....

I finally had a chance to try Curbside. BUT WHAT SOLD ME IS HOW THEY TREATED MY SON.My son has milk and nut allergies. My wife got him a scoop of Mango sorbet with informing them about his allergies. They washed a new scoop and served my son.After browsing around the other shops for 20 mins, my son wanted another serving. I go there not really realizing and ask for mango sorbet again.My wife comes up to me asking if I talked to them about the scoop being cleaned..I didnt, so I explained to them and they had no qualms what so ever about giving him a new serving because the scoop might have been used with other vegan ice creams.Nothing happened to my son and he was fine. But how they handled it, I have nothing but respect for people that worried about my sons health over profit.THANK YOU GUYS!-----------------------------Other than that...The shop is very clean and gorgeous.The service is fast and as aforementioned, the staff is great.Prices is great.The choices are also great.

Excellent excellent vegan cashew based ice cream options with flavors such as cherry almond, chocolate, cookies and cream and strawberry. Flavors change every couple of days so try your luck. Theres always a cashew based soft serve flavor too, such as pistachio (in the photo) and the soft serve is creamy and goes wonderfully well with the espresso from across the alley.

The best, freshest ice cream in Oakland. This place never disappoints and I will wait in any line for this ice cream. If Ive had my mind set that Im craving Curbside, no other ice cream will *curb* that craving. Hands down my favorite place in Oakland!

Vegan ice cream is so good! I got the Earl grey with a waffle cone. I have no idea how they make waffle cone vegan but they were great. I wish I had gotten the name of the ice cream scooper but she was super friendly and very patient with sampling the favors.

Mehhh... Too sweet, the sandwich is too buttery.I dont know if it is a different experience when you can come in and taste flavors, but the only take away option is... Mehh

The pistachio soft serve is very good and the lemon cream is quite refreshing. They have a good mix of regular and vegan ice creams.

My brain is melting in delicious joy!!!!!! They have both milky and vegan ice cream. It is Soo yummy. They have both weird and traditional flavors.

Adorable small ice cream shop tucked into Temescal Alley. Best way to finish a dinner at any of the restaurants around. Can get a bit crowded when its busy. About half their flavors on any given day are vegan (usually cashew base), and half of the soft serve machine is usually non-dairy as well. Also have vegan ice cream sandwiches on delicious cookies, and if ice creams not your thing, they have vegan pie by the slice as well.

Curbside Creamery is a good ice cream place to check out, especially if you’re vegan or want soft serve.Because about half of the ice cream here is vegan, you can either be excited or disappointed about the variety. On one hand, so many vegan options! On the other hand, sometimes you just want a more standard chocolate ice cream. However, no matter what you end up getting, it’ll be good.In addition to some standard flavors, they also have some seasonal flavors (the pumpkin flavor I tried was amazing, although it’ll only be around for a few weeks) which encourages you to come back and try new things. They also swap out the soft serve every so often, although the chocolate/vegan cinnamon pairing I tried should definitely be a keeper. The handmade waffle cones are also vegan, and are also pretty tasty.

Omgoshhh, I came here and I swear I dreamt about coming back for days 😂 I love that they have fresh, delicious ice cream - but I may cry if the one that I had isn’t there when I get back! Used to be my favorite ice cream spot because of the variety of vegan options. But it’s sadly started losing its charm and actual flavor. The vegan mint chip tasted like chalk and the girl working refused to honor my stamp card. You could tell she was over it and didn’t want to be there. It used to be great, but has become lackluster and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Its a quaint little ice cream place with really amazing staff. I can only account for the vegan flavors, mint chocolate chip is my favorite, but Im not a huge fan of the other flavors they offer in the vegan section. Using cashew milk for some of the flavors seems to leave a weird after flavor in your mouth. I will definitely be going back for the mint chocolate chip and would be awesome to try a coffee vegan flavor if they ever come out with it!

Awesome random creamery in an alleyway. They also have vegan options, such as the cookies and cream (used cashew milk). Very impressive. Im NOT vegan, but it was dang close to normal ice cream. So good for vegans, non-vegans and mixed groups to satisfy everyone in your party.

Friendly service and interesting flavors! I initially wanted to try the chocolate ice cream and peanut butter cookie ice cream sandwich, but ended up picking a two scoop in a chocolate cone - which was delicious. I’ll definitely try to come back here once the weather warms up a bit more.

Best vegan (cashew) ice cream Ive had. Love the soft serve, which is best when its dairy. The ice cream sandwiches are also the best in town, largely because the cookies are so good and the combinations well conceived. Its pricey, but no more than any other local, premium ice cream shop. With ice cream, vegan ice cream and sorbet, theres something for everyone.

Amazing ice cream, but the server there was incredibly rude. I get that it was almost closing time, but its not that hard to be polite and tell your customer that they are closing soon so selections need to be quick. Also very pricey, but that seems to be the trend for decent ice cream in the Bay Area...it makes me miss amazing scoops of ice cream in Wisconsin for $2.

DELICIOUS!!! While the East Bay is no stranger to unusual and inventive ice cream flavors Curbside Creamery is definitely a cut above the rest! I got the coffee and malt ball ice cream and it was delightful. The Earl Grey almond milk ice cream was also very good.

To start off this place and the area are so pretty. The shop is filled with windows and has a bit of a cramped space. There is a section of unique and classic flavours but with a twist. I recommend the Peanut Butter with cashew milk and the Thai tea flavours. The staff is very patient and friendly, and you cant catch them without a smile. Please try this place!!

Curbside is a great little ice cream shop. I love the black cherry flavor. The salted caramel is da bomb! You can get a waffle cone with your ice cream. They have many vegan options. There is outside seating across the way.

Even the waffle cone was vegan and delicious. I ordered the vegan rasberry softserve and it was fabulously creamy. They also had slices of vegan pie and ice cream sandwiches. Cant wait to go back!

On more than one occasion I had negative service experiences. The first time, when I asked to get a flavor listed on their sign board, I was met with an indignant and taken-aback No. After a long delay, the person assisting me finally said Were out of that flavor in a frustrated tone, and I was left wondering how I was supposed to know that.The second occasion, when I was trying to get my credit card out of the wallet, my ice cream cone started tipping slightly over. A different host in an upset tone snapped DONT DO THAT!! and walked away from the transaction machine without saying another word for the remainder of the payment process.On a third occasion, a server chastised a friend of mine for taking a long time to order.The ice cream is not worth the social anxiety caused by the serving staff here.
