Dropped engine off a while back paid him.Told me 2-3 weeks to get done.After 3 months it was sitting where I left it untouched.Got most of my money back and took to real shop.Do not waste your time or money.

Myself and my family Ive been using Dave at Powerhouse machine, for years. Never had a problem, always pleased with the work done for the price paid. Apparently many other people feel the same way, he is always super busy. But he is only one guy trying to do everyones machine work and build Motors. So people should understand sometimes he can get behind. But he always comes through.

Warning: do not have anything to do with Dave at powerhouse! The man is a con man flat out. Becouse I had previously done business with him and thought he could be trusted, I gave him money to build an engine for me and have it installed.He stole the money and never did the work. My truck has been sitting in his yard at powerhouse for 2.5 years nad he has done nothing.

Dave knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him for any machine work or engine work before u read all this comments and judge something give him a chance and do business with him. He did a incredible job on some of our stuff and saved us money.

Took a Ford roller 302 block in to have it cleaned, bored .30 over, new cam bearings and have a hole drilled-tapped. The work came out pretty well and I cant complain that much. The amount of time to have the work done seemed too long (3 weeks). Time management and organization there is horrible. They say they will just call you when the work is done, but that could mean anything. I finally called and demanded a pick up day and they told me Tuesday, I was actually busy with work so I went there on Friday. The block still wasnt finished, still needed cam bearings installed and hole drilled-tapped. I paid $215 for the services total. If your working with a deadline id probably pay more and go to another machine shop. On a side note I had this company do cylinder heads for me about 4 years ago and he did an awesome job with a 3 day turn around. Thanks!

Does all the machine work for me and my father and Dave builds some badass engines will come back again and again

Total engine rebuild on my 83 CJ7. Dave did outstanding work and was very reasonable. I would recommend him highly.

Took heads on Thursday and ready by Friday Not Impressed with the work for the $$$ heads had Nicks on them and not fully cleaned would not recommend

Was buying a good running motor for $400. Went to the back. Motor was on a stand. Come to find out cylinders were full of rust and the rings were stuck.pull oil drain and about 2 gallons of water came out. Dave said he would get it right. So i gave him a $200 deposit. A week later still hadnt touched it. Waited anothe week and still nothing but excuses. Told him to just call me when its done. About a month now...no call. No motor. Not even a call to say hey man im just gonna give u your 200 bak. Only good thing this shop produces is some good lies. Im gonna pay the $50 to take him to small claims court. Some one has to do something beside complain.See you in court Dave.

I have no idea how this place is still in business. Going on two years for a pre-paid 383 stroker small block Chevrolet to get built. When received my supposedly New stroker motor the internals were used and not what I had paid for. When I asked Dave the owner of powerhouse about this problem he said he was shorthanded and it was a mistake to bring it back and he would have this corrected. Still hasnt happened and still no motor.?I have been in contact with the State of Florida and filed a formal complaint. My advice is to do a little research ask around about this Half rate operation and save your self a endless line of lies from David the owner this gentleman should not be in business and it amazes me that he is still. He is known at the local Ocala speedway as the biggest crooks you can find as well as the airboat community.

Took a cylinder head and told me that ill will be done at 4pm and price for cleaning and 30mm shaved was 80 dollars,call them at 5 pm told me that was not done, that come next day at 11am, went there at 1pm and was rude to me and told me was not done but also he increase 20 dollars cause it need it clean, so I ask him why the increase on price and he went pick up the cylinder head and told me to leave the building, I told him that ill never go back there or recommend costumer and he told me that he dont care, no costumer service, rude, attitude,arogant, ect

Hours say 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. I tried calling all morning with no luck. I drove down there at 2pm and there were people there but the gates were locked. Ill find somewhere else.

Gave him my mini stock motor needing rebuild.He had the motor five months finally after bugging him every day for three months got it back.i paid $2500 and received a motor that knocks like hell.WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!
