This is my first time wearing glasses, so I deffinitly needed the help. Victoria was amazing. Very kind, patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and helped me picked out a really cute pair of glasses that I think I will actually love to wear! I am excited and very happy she helped me! After several attempts at deleting this post I will add an update. Optical Outlets has called several times to try to remedy our issues with our glasses., the Dr has taken the time to adjust our glasses which has made a big difference! I have an appointmen at 2:00 pm, and it is 2:52 pm. and I still waiting to be called. It is a waist of time. If you pick your appointment time according with what you have to do during the day, be prepared to cancel all your plans.
Was in a car accident and broke my glasses. Needed a new pair right away. Dr.Chi and Samantha was super helpful and friendly. They help me finish in a well orderly manner. 100% recommend this place for anybody in the Ocala area because I came out of state when I needed my glasses.

Had my appointment 27 days ago they said my glasses would be in 7-10 days still waiting! Someone was supposed to call me for insurance info. I missed her call, I returned the call left message noone has got back with me on that its been over a week called again yesterday got their service center still have not heard anything or any return call worst service ever!!!

Visit during Covid, April 2021,office states not to bring anyone other than patient inside however they are not enforcing it, also waiting area is NOT SOCIAL DISTANCED AT ALL! Mask policy is standard to wear but if your not going to take all precautions then dont open n cram us all in
I will never go to Optical out which again I paid over $200 for my glasses and one lady put my address down wrong so UPS could not find it and they sent it back Ive been waiting 8 weeks to get my glasses and I cant see until I get them will never go back
I have been a customer for over 20 years and I have never been treated so poorly as I have since March 21, 2020. I paid for my glasses in full, my receipt even shows paid in full as well as online shows paid in full. My glasses were due on April 14th due to the cornavirus. No problem I get that.. But when I call on April 15th asking where they are the lady tells me that they arent being made until I pay the $15 I owe. I told her I dont any money they are paid in full. When I ask why I owe the $15 she says its for my eye exam. I said ok well I used my insurance and I only pay $10 for eye exams with my insurance. She then says well they wont be made until you pay it. I asked to speak to a manger and she said ok well he will contact you in less than 48hrs. That was last Wednesday!!! I waited on hold for over 56 minutes and never spoke to a soul! I bet you wont get my business again!
Eye exam ok, but 30+ days had not been contacted that glasses were in. I finally called & got the computer saying they were there, but never able yo get a real person. Very poor customer service, will not go back! Prices too high
Excellent,but I should have ordered a eyeglasses that is easier to put a eyewear retainer through,and it takes a bit to get used to these eyeglasses which is normal,but backpacks are not purses!

My daughters appointment was at 2:15 pm, 40 minutes later we are still not called. When I asked if they had an approximate length of time before she would be called, I was told there was no way to determine that. What! The appointment was 40 minutes ago. And no one was in the exam rooms. This is the third time this has happened at this location and it will be the last. Horrible service.
Dr.Quyen and Mr.Luis were AWESOME in catering to my 4 childrens needs. Their bedside manner is impeccable and I truly appreciate their services.
The doctor was great. The rest of the staff thats another story. They stand around chit chatting with one another while you wait for them to call you. So that you may be able to pick your frames. This guy serious walk out looked at me then went back talked for 15 minutes the desired to I guess take his break. Terrible customer service

Joe was the one who helped me and also there was a lady in the front with the glasses that I got the matching ones they were both phenomenal very helpful everyone was very kind and everything was in its place in right easy to find when I was searching for glasses the doctor was very kind as well that did my exam I will definitely go there and refer people to go as very pleased with my visit yesterday it did take a while but I understand that its probably a busy place but thats understandable other than that it was as good as expected and I was very happy with my visit
Everything was fine until I went to go pick up my glasses and the lady told me I had to sign in and wait 15 mins. I don’t see why they can’t just hand you the glasses there already paid for and everything. They really need to find a new way of going about that, it’s just not practical.
Worst place ever 3 weeks and still no glasses tried calling the store no luck when i finally get ahold of some one they cant help they tell me the post office has my glasses but that was a lie instead of driving 5 min to get my glasses i have to wait another 3 day for delivery 3 week with no glasses and they dont care a bunch of lies is all i get with no help never be back

The doctor was nice. The appointment was fast. Very little selection of frames that insurance covered and even less help finding options. I left with a not so good feeling.
I purchased glasses 6 months ago and after 3 months the anti-glare started to crack.Thankfully, the store manager contacted me and wanted me to bring them in so she could inspect them. She provided exceptional customer service and replaced them at no charge. I will definitely be coming back to Optical Outlet.

Two years ago, we went here to get glasses and were not thrilled by the way we were treated, but with the cheapest deal in town, we went back this year and this time we met the new manager, Mary. The difference was day and night. She wanted us totally satisfied with the glasses and how they fit. She was both professional and personable, which gave us a great experience and a total 180 opinion from the year before. As long as we see her in the store, we know we will get the service we need and always with a smile.
The staff is very nice and accomidating. But only issue I ever have is wait time. I guess because they see so many people. But our last visit we were there for 3 hours. Other than that it was good.

I would have preferred a salesperson to help me pick out a frame. As it turned out, I chose one that I didnt like when I picked it up. Theres no returns or refunds I was told on the phone. Now I just wear my old glasses and wont buy another pair at your store because I feel like I would be rushed to pick out a frame.
Went in for my yearly exam. I brought my 3 year old son, and the ladies were great with him while getting my eyes checked. The dr I had was very good, took his time and didnt rush me through the options to make sure my vision did in fact change. Stephanie Moore helped me with my glasses. She was fantastic and pleasant to my son as well. I was able to get what I wanted with her help and I am very grateful. I will for sure be back.
The sales associate was totally awesome her name is Rosa! Also there are a few Dr. Here in the office but Dr. Nguyen was so great, took her time, very through, sweet, and answered all my questions with care....

Awesome place to get glasses! My eye glass specialist Krystal picked out the two most perfect pairs of glasses! They came in promptly and fit great! Very reasonable prices for all the extras I got put on my frames!! 10/10

Recently purchased glasses here. I suggest if you wear progressive lenses you go somewhere else. Or pay the high dollar upgrade to there top of the line progressives. Otherwise you will end up with a pair of glasses that effects your depth perception and vision. If I tuck my chin to my chest and bend slightly over I can see to tie my shoes. You also have to do this going down stairs. Had the staff told me that it was going to be like this I would have paid the upgrade. I cannot even ride my harley now because everything below the handle bars gets blurry. Did not have this problem with my last progressive lenses. In conclusion dont fall for there sale prices and go somewhere else. They dont even warranty there scratch protection.
I recently just moved to Ocala and was looking for an eye doctor. I came in as a walk in to Optical Outlets and was greeted with a friendly staff. They told me I had to wait because they had to take appointments first. I agreed and stayed waited. Luckily, there was a cancellation and the doctor was able to see me. She gave me the most throughout eye exam I had ever had. Then, the staff spent a good amount of time with me just to be sure I got the frame that is compatible with my face (I have a big head). I highly recommend this place.

I came in for an exam to get contacts and was welcomed by a very nice staff. I have anxiety issues and as I was trying on my contacts I was having a very hard time dealing with the situation. Stephanie helped me out, moved me into a separate room and just talked to me about casual things to help me calm down. I swear, if it were not for her I would have walked out of there, not because of the service but because of my level of stress. Stephanie is my hero.
Ana is an exceptional costumer service representative. She answered all my questions and then some, made suggestions based on my particular needs which were awesome and worked to my advantage. Definitely recommend

I had an eye exam and new glasses in Dec 2018. Two months later my vision has changed and I need my rx changed. I thought as my frames were new they could just put the new rx into the frames, unfortunately not. Optical Outlets only sell glasses at a package deal. The employee that helped me, HERB, did an outstanding job to get me the best price. He checked every possible way so instead of paying $300 +, I got my new glasses for $165. He really did a great job getting me that price and was very understanding and patient with me as I have diabetes and have developed early stage cataracts. The other employees are very nice also.

This was the best visit to any Drs office that I can remember - ever.From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted cheerfully and treated professionally.I was quickly moved from one station to the next after only a few minutes waiting. And the office was busy.Each person helping me was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.Im used to feeling anonymous at most Drs offices and always waiting a loooong time in multiple rooms.This was truly an exception visit.I was so impressed that I called the manager (Mary) to ask her how she did it. She spent about 15 minutes on the phone telling me the many different ways they all work to make every visit as smooth as possible and bragging on her team.Great, great job.Kudos to Dr. Nguyen, Hayley and Marissa
Worst customer service and management I had in too many years I can remember. I went into the Lady Lake location and had to deal with a very rude and nasty sales associate. When I went to the very young and inexperienced manager she defended the sales lady before I could even tell her what my issue was. I guess being friends is more important than us customers. Eye glasses were marked up at high prices as well. I walked out and will never give a business my business that has that bad of customer service. Never again! Their tactic of deals really are not worth it anyways. Check the price on the frames before signing anything. They only have very few very cheap made frames for the 2 for $100 advertising. The options were seriously low. Most the glasses were priced at $200-$300 and even they were not worth the price tag for the quality. They are not Gucci frames so don’t understand the $300 price tag on those brands. Definitely a bait and switch scam. By the time you realize you’re being over charged it’s well over the advertised price to get something that you can live with and you’re already locked in. Try backing out at that point. good luck. You’re forced to deal with them at that point. Definitely not a business I’d recommend. Lady Lakes manager Samantha or Sabrina, something like that, i have no clue how she got to be a manager with her attitude and no respect for the customer with an issue. Someone needs to retrain her or put someone there customers can reason and communicate with. Managers should not have attitudes with customers without hearing them out first. My mother was with me and she was more upset than I was by the disrespectful attitude the young girl had. As we were asking one of the other employees what the area supervisors number was the manager girl stopped in the middle of dealing with a customer and turned around to snap at us to tell me the area manager will not do anything to her and that I was being rude for asking for a manager in the first place while she was busy. My mother a paralegal snapped back and told her it’s rude to interrupt someone while they are talking and nobody was talking to her at that point. Once we asked for the area managers number we were done talking to her. Seemed like having the last word and telling us she’s sorry we are having a bad day was more important than customer service. We were not the only ones upset at the original sales lady who’s name started with a “Y”. The customer before us were upset as well from her being rude and nasty. I’d remember her name but when I asked her for it she refused to give it to me when I said I will call the area supervisor. Seriously unprofessional and will never return and my mother a member of the villages that is highly respected in the community is already giving her word of mouth opinion about our experience with Optical Outlet. On a side note the black girl that checked me in and the doctor were great to work with. The manager and that sales associate ruined our relationship super fast. Quality control in management is desperately needed at that location especially. Whether or not I get justice for my wasted time and unprofessional encounter my mother is sure to make it ring in the community. She works as an advisor as well to many in the villages and she is sure to remind villagers it’s better to pay for quality and get what you pay for with customer service as well.

Im am literally waiting here for a pick up while my grandmother is bring taken off life support and they wont give me his glasses. I was told no i can have them theres ppl in front of me. There are employees here sitting around laughing with no one in front of them. I cant believe this is really happening. These are already paid for by the way.
Optitions are Great.....Manager is Awesome.....Staff seems Friendly and Knowledgable.....sometimes a wait. The doctor was very rushed and we waited extremely long. The girl helping me pick out my glasses only gave me 3 options to choose from and rushed me doing that too. Im paying out of pocket next time instead of going here because my insurance covers it. Not worth it.

Saturday will be 2 weeks that Ive had my glasses and the one pair the lenses keep falling out and customer rep said that was normal for frames to be loose...I would like to exchange the frames for a different pair ..I have a 2 ND pair I can use till these are fixed......well now Saturday will be,,3 weeks since Ive had my glasses and lenses are falling out if the frame .what do I have to do to get this fixed.???.....ok well I took my glasses back in and customer service wasnt sure I could exchange my frames for a different pair but I called them the next day and customer service said yes I could get the frames I picked out because other frames were too big for the lenses..so Im waiting now on them to come in .. hopefully this has resolved my issues.....thank youi got my 2ndpsir back a week ago and everything is fixed with new frames ..thank you ..
I had my initial appointment there a year ago and the experience was decent, but not great. I was late for my appointment, and waited an extra hour or so, which was not their fault at all. But walking in the door is not a very welcoming experience. There is chaos everywhere, and I honestly felt like more of a number than a person. I left with my year of contacts and had an order placed for my new frames, which were too big for me when they finally arrived.The reason for the one star rating is due to my most recent experience with them. I called and scheduled an appointment. Then, I got a tear in the last pair of contacts I have. I called the office to see if they have just one pair of lenses I could pick up to get me through the next couple of weeks until my appointment. They told me they would check and call me back. I received a voicemail an hour later advising that it would be no problem, they have a trial pair for me to pick up any time.The next morning, I sent my friend to pick up the lenses for me and they told her that they couldnt find the order and wanted to know who I spoke with. I relayed the info, and they apparently came back after looking to tell my friend they havent had those lenses in stock for weeks, and probably wouldnt even have them by the time my appointment rolled around! Really?! What kind of customer service is that?Ive since cancelled my appointment and rescheduled with another eye care provider that actually makes me feel like a human being, not just another invoice. If you dont mind chaotic, impersonal service, feel free to try this place out, but with the number of people that work there, and absolutely no apparent communication occurring between any of them, be prepared for a run-around.
My doctor was very kind and patient with me, as I had trouble telling the difference between focuses. It was busy but I asked for help and received it promptly. Not sure why others had such negative experiences, but I like the place.

Every time I’ve gone they are so d@mn slow. Today I went to pick up glasses. I’m thinking I’ll wait a max of 20-25 minutes because there were about 3-4 people in front of me. One customer had a problem, It took 2 people to go in the back and clean her glasses then the workers have to gather for a peanut gallery gathering before moving on to the next customer. After I finally get my glasses, I had to wait another 15 minutes for my script to get signed by a doctor... by waiting to get signed I mean watch the peanut gallery chit chat in the back once again. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because they hv a few nice frames and the doctor was great. But Seriously never going here again. Wasted 50 minutes in this place. U would think my glasses were being made from scratch in a hidden factory in the back.
Prices are good, staff is mehh, drs are great. Getting ahold if then is the challenge.

They logged a different patients information and exam results under my name and into my file. They never did a patient verification before performing eye exam. Luckily I caught the error and walked out before I got someone elses prescription. Buyer beware.To add further insult to my experience, I wrote to them on their web page and they have not responded. What does that tell you about their customer service?

I love the doctor himself. But the other staff are literally the rudest people Ive ever met. They spent more time on their phones than they did assisting me. I came in to pick up my glasses. I had sat for almost thirty minutes before someone noticed I was there. By then, I needed to leave to go back to work. The lady looked annoyed with me because I crossed my name off her appointment sheet. They have a good selection of glasses for my insurance and thats the only reason why I continue to come here.

Was told my contacts were a 6 month supply. Called to reorder and was told they were only 3 month supply and it’s $120. I’m switching to Walmart now where I get a 12 month supply for $125
Ive tried other optical places but this is by far the best in Ocala. Prices are reasonable, they take all kinds of insurance, including Medicaid, and are extremely knowledgeable...but not pushy. They dont try to oversell you on things you dont really need or want. Recently my husband had a situation with a lense supplier that wasnt the fault of the store at all, but Mary made sure he was taken care of. She was so thorough with her follow ups and did all she could to remedy the situation. Other places would probably just say things are out of their hands, but that wasnt Marys attitude about it, and Im so very thankful :) Theyve earned our continued business for sure!!! P.S. I like literally never write reviews lol...but I wanted to make sure to let everyone know that if you make an appointment with Optical Outlets you wont be disappointed.
Horrible! Last year we went in because my daughter broke her glasses and we had just missed the warranty. Thats fine, we paid for a new pair. Recently she noticed a long scratch in the lense, I called them because its within the warranty and I thought I paid more for scratch proof lenses. No I have to pay for new lenses even though I paid $300 + what insurance paid to have all the warranties. Paid the same at Eye Glass World and got two pairs and they would fix any issues. Only ended up here cause of the insurance but I will never be back. Dont waste your time or money!

Got scratch resistant..they scratched 2 weeks later..I went back and had to pay for 2 lenses to get new ones...was promised 8/18...I told them I was leaving for vacation on 8/19...They said no problem..WELL..it is a problem..they still dont have them in...now, I have to delay my departure!!!..NOT HAPPY...For what they charge and for the hours you have to wait to get an exam, they should make sure they give better service.

The guy receptionist and the other receptionist were extremely rude and had major attitude. Explained me that I couldnt get an eye exam until September, I called MY insurance they explained to me that I was eligible for an exam since January. So I went back to this establishment and the guy tried to argue with me to give me the benefit of the doubt.

But im Getting my glasses next week cant wait!!

I filled out the online form to schedule an appointment for this upcoming week. The woman that called me back was kind of short and was trying to book my appointment out for May 30th and then April 25th. When I told her I would have to call around because that was insanely far out for an appointment I was hung up on. Excellent customer service skills! (Sad).
