I cannot thank Kandice and the Betty Cakes team enough! Our wedding cake turned out EXACTLY the way we were hoping - look-wise and taste-wise. We ordered a three-tier white cake with strawberry layers for our wedding. The initial tasting was so much fun, and Kandice was so easy to work with. We sent her pictures of cakes with scraping (where the frosting is scraped off the sides) that we were hoping to have for our cake, and her team 100% delivered! The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Highly recommend!

Lunch was so very delicious as were the pieces of cake we also ordered. A delightful gal Sandy was so such a pleasure to be with. I had an orthopedic boot on a broken ankle and she went out of her way to give us extra special care! We love it there, thanks for a great day of food, shopping and treating us with such kindness!❤️

Ive grown up eating Betty Cakes my whole life, so it was a no brainer to ask them to make our wedding cake! They were so helpful through the whole process and the final product was above and beyond what I could have even imagined!! Truly the most delicious cake youll ever eat- dont hesitate to book them for the wedding cake of your dreams!

Betty cakes is always a delight! Anytime I am bringing something for a gathering it is always a wonderful excuse, I mean reason! To visit Betty cakes and walk away with an extra slice or two! Wonderful lunch spot in Ocala! The service, food quality, and prices were all fantastic. The cafe atmosphere was also very cozy and inviting. Perfect place for a girls lunch out or to grab a bite to eat on your lunch break.

I have no idea why I didnt get a picture, but I ordered the Oreo Cake that was 1 layer 10. There were 12 people at the party and easily could have served another 6 so their estimate of the number of people it feeds was dead on.When I first opened up the box, the SMELL alone was to die for! The cake was super moist and just had the most insane flavor. The party was in Palatka, but 3 people wanted the name of the bakery even though they would have to drive an hour to get the cake. Everyone absolutely loved it!

Unfortunately I haven’t visited in person, however our office received a gift of this delicious cake today. Well done! 👏🏼The icing was good and most importantly the cake was soft and moist. Thank you for making the treat!

Thinking about ordering a cake for a party. People were very friendly, despite being busy. They took the time to explain the options. I bought a slice of cake to try. EXCELLENT. It is going go be a tough choice for flavors - there are so many and I suspect they are all good.

Most people in Ocala know that the best place to get a cake is Betty Cakes Cafe.Their cakes are really moist, and the pies and other deserts are also fantastic. I like to go for lunch and grab chicken salad on spinach or croissant, and this is usually my first stop for special occasions or birthdays. The cafe is located in Your Hearts Desire which has great gifts and home decor. I prefer to go when I have time to browse.

My mother in law has been coming there for 2 years and yesterday she was going to buy 2 cakes and simply requested a 3rd box so she could split the cakes. They would not provide her an extra box, not even “sell” her a box. And when she asked the manager the manager totally ignored her and wouldn’t even look at her. So instead of spending her hard earned money at your store she walked out with nothing.Great customer service 😡

For the last 1.5-2years I have only purchased cakes from Betty Cakes. For every and any event I hold. Baby showers, anniversary parties, housewarmings, I only buy my cakes from you. Today, I went into your store with the intention of purchasing 2 cakes, one for a dinner I’m attending and one for home. I had my grandchildren with me and promised them some cake and so I asked the staff if I could have an extra box so I could split the cake in half. I was told I could not. So then I offered to pay for the box, I’m not asking for a handout here... just a box to give to my daughter so she could take half of the cake home for my grandsons. The staff member helping me proceeded to ask another staff member if that would be okay and again, I was told no. When I tried to ask why it was a problem to the 2nd staff member, she flat out ignored me. Instead of leaving your store with 2 cakes today, I left with none. What happened to customer service and being willing to accommodate? Very disappointed. Myself and my 8 year old grandsons, too.

I just love Bettys Cakes Cafe if you want something different for their birthday you got to get them their birthday cake from Bettys not only is it going to be the most exciting cake you have ever seen but the taste is on a whole nother level outrageously delicious !!! The best cake I have ever eaten in Ocala Fl. .. it doesnt have to be a birthday cake, anniversary, wedding And yes I do believe I would trust her with my wedding cake ♥ or better yet pick up a variety of treats for the week end last Friday I picked up a half dozen of Bettys Decadent cup cakes that are truely my very favorite and some cake pudding that is also my favorite along with huge yummy cookies that is everyones favorite just to start the weekend off just right . And if you get their early enough go with a friend and enjoy lunch..

I rate Betty Cake 5 stars...but only because there arent 10 to choose from! My family & I have been living in Ocala for many decades now & we know that celebrations are not complete without a Betty Cake. Thu July 8th 2021... Im very disappointed in the customer service I received today at Betty Cakes. Simple things like acknowledging customers can go a loooong way. Not sure why I would have had to wait more than five minutes to get cupcakes especially, when there were no other customers when I arrived and there were 4 employees available to check me out; but it was very obvious that only 1 of those young ladies-the one who is handling all the paperwork-was allowed to run a cash register....arrived at Betty cakes about 2:15p with the intent to purchase cupcakes. 4 young ladies out front.. Was greeted & I my order was promptly placed in cupcake container. I was told that i would be checked out by young lady @ register on fone taking pymt info 4, i must assume, an order. She completed her phone conversation and proceeded to write down some follow-up remarks from the phone order. I was good with that. However she continued to do other paperwork; the young lady who originally took my order came back to the counter when another customer came in; she took care of the new customer and ask the young lady who was at the register whether she checked me out and her response was no, and she continued to do whatever paperwork she was doing. Who Does That???!!!? She saw no value n me as a customer; so i left & left them with their cupcakes. Dont no if it matters 2 any of the 4 of them, but especially da young lady @ register, but perhaps someone who does will see this & share it with Betty who has placed a level of trust in this group of 4 to represent her. But MOST IMPORTANT reminding each of them of the following: As Leaders (n this case Betty Cakes owner) /Business Owners, we must remind those who represent us that the influence and credibility we have worked so hard to build is NOT theirs to squander. I cant imagine Betty would not agree.

I usually love me some Betty Cakes. I’ve never eaten here before. I have anxiety and I don’t like how open it is and how many workers there are there doing nothing and watching you. Today is my birthday and I went to grab a cake with my hubby. We decided to try the sit down food. I kindly told the lady we are gonna try dine in today. I’ve never been here before how does this work? She said just sit and I’ll come get your order. We did. She said we couldn’t sit there as it’s for spacing which no one was there except employees sitting and chatting find a place with a place mat. We did. She immediately came over and said do you know what you want? I said no we might need a minute to look as we have just sat down and have never been here before. She left and we sat for about 10 minutes and just got up and got our cake to go. We sat on our phones so she knew we were ready to order and didn’t care. With the amount of employees not doing anything and for it being our first time I would of loved a better customer service.

If you want a cake or a cupcake this is your place that you need to go to. They also have some great lunch foods but the cake is something that anyone will enjoy. Its super moist and no matter the flavor it hits the spot!

Went for the first time today with a very dear friend for my birthday. I had the spinach salad. Very fresh and yummy! It came with a croissant. My friend got the chicken salad wrap. Everything was so delicious and fresh! Because it was my birthday, my cake was free. It was to die for! A very moist chocolate cake with vanilla cream frosting and chocolate fudge drizzled on the top and down the sides called a spider cake. Cant wait to go back and try the reuben and have another slice of cake. Problem is, which cake do I try?

The best cake ever!! The spider is our favorite then the Boston Creme. They sell individual slices which makes it nice to be able to try other items.

This place is incredible. The decor is so cute. The service is friendly. The key lime pie is out of the ordinary good. I dont even like key lime pie and I couldnt stop eating. The banana putting is pretty amazing too. As soon as you walk in, you see a table full of cakes and cupcakes.

Betty Cakes has great food. The preparation is in a clean and open environment. They need to somehow change their system of payment and ordering to reduce the line and backlog. However, I will not be going there again because of the styrofoam plates, plastic spoons and single-use cups, etc. It is up to each of us to be more responsible environmentally.

My family, friends, and I have been long time customers because Betty Cakes are very delicious! However, I have moved to Winter Garden, but obviously chose to use Betty Cakes for my upcoming engagement party.When ordering, I was told to bring in a printed image of the cake design I wanted (I asked for a solid white buttercream cake with light pink roses on top). I explained to the employee that I’m unable to drive 1 hour to their store to simply deliver a printed picture and instead asked if I could email the picture or send it to them via social media (Facebook or Instagram). Unfortunately, management would not allow this method. It’s a shame but this instance has sent me into the arms of another bakery.

Betty cakes is simply amazing. I ordered a cake the day of my event and it was absolutely PERFECT!! One the way home I had to make a hard stop (lock my brakes) to avoid hitting a bicyclist and the cake was ruined. I called and asked if a new cake could be made (it was after 3 and they closed at 4) I was told to bring the cake back to see if it could be saved; at this point I was beyond desperate and offered to pay for a new cake. After waiting a short time a new cake just as perfect as the first was brought out at NO CHARGE!!! This was truly a blessings; I love this bakery. Love their cakes, but make sure you check before you leave. Mine was supposed to have a birthday greeting and flowers on it, when I got home it was plain. Not a huge deal but I was disappointed. I called, they did say come back, but I live 25 minutes away. I will still go there for any cakes I need, but Ill def check it before I leave.

As a wedding photographer myself, I have tried hundreds of wedding cakes and HANDS DOWN my own wedding cake from Betty Cakes was the best cake that I have ever had... ever! The delicate design was done precisely and the flavors were impeccable. I live up north and whenever I visit Ocala, you can be assured that Ill be stopping in for a treat every time Im in town!

Hidden treasure! Quaint little place that has great lunches and superb cakes. Great place to hang out with your girlfriend. Had a Turkey with bacon sandwich, it was delicious!

I ordered my daughters graduation cake from here and not only did it turn out beautifully it was a huge hit at the party. This is the best cake Ive ever had was said by many of the guests. Highly recommend Betty Cakes, you will not be disappointed.

I love the food and the cakes are out of this world. On my way from Tampa to Palatka I stop by for food and if I am not that hungry always cake to go. Even the sandwiches are divine. Those slices of cakes are a religious experience for me. Spider cake is my favorite and happens to be one of the regular cakes they have every day. Sweet tea is also amazing, kinda sad that I have to drive north for good sweet tea.

Ok full disclosure. My spouse is one of the owners so I am certainly biased. Still with that being said, I know they strive to produce consistently great cakes and deserts. I also know the owners and staff do everything they can to make Betty Cakes Cafe and Bakery THE place to go in Ocala if you want to be sure your event cake is perfect.

The food is very good, I had a chix salad wrap and it had a slice of cheese in it, it was very good. It came w grapes & potato chips. Also a Raspberry ice tea, also very good & not too sweet.I then had a slice of their DELICIOUS white cake. I had ordered this cake for my BDay in June. Cannot find better cakes anywhere else. My friends who were w me also enjoyed their lunch and took 2 pieces of cake home w them.

Very helpful and accommodating staff, especially Malone, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Italian Creme cake they made was not only beautiful, it was delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I LOVE the gluten free cupcakes! I tried it with great hesitation and had zero reaction! I have been gluten free since 1987 and have not been able to have cake at all! The bakery came highly recommended. Staff is professional and delivered exactly what I ordered.

Ordered a cake a month ahead of time, designed the cake from two different pictures in their photo albums of previous cakes combined, the day before pick-up they called and told me it couldnt be done, which was very upsetting considering it was made previously before and they told me it in fact could be done and the whole party was themed around this cake. They told me it could not be done because of the weather, what gets me is the weather would still be the same from July to August? I also paid extra to have the cake Lemon flavor, I got a vanilla cake. Super disappointing, will not be going back.

Betty Cakes Cafe was a surprise for me. From the outside it looks like just a gift shop. Then you find inside this nice little cafe, with the best cakes ever and they also serve lunch, with a very good customer service. Very chic!

Had a custom made cake for my fiancees 30th birthday. I provided pictures as well as very detailed instructions on what I wanted. The cake was hideous and didnt even taste that great. Save your money and go to Publix. At least if the designer isnt that good, the taste will be!

This cake is sooooo delicious! Recently Ive been on a soup kick and Betty Cakes soup is just as delicious as their cake. Their customer service is as good as the food. I really love this sort of hidden gem as its nestled in the back right hand corner of the store, Your Hearts Desire.

Purchased a two tiered wedding cake. The cake itself was okay, but the art work was not very good even though it was simple (and also included details we had not asked for in our super detailed drawings). I would generously call it okay at best.Way too expensive for what we got, I couldve done the same at home if I had time. They also put the whole cake in a box that was ment for a 1 tier cake then covered the excess with seran wrap.Overall I was unimpressed, and I dont feel like I got my moneys worth. I have always heard wonderful things about the bakery though, so maybe it was a fluke.
