Went out on a sunset tour with Dave and my Mom, so it was very intimate and, obviously, my Mom is 5-star. Dave can tell tales well, and he gave us island history, celebrity sighting stories, tales of growing up local, and wildlife info. We had a chance of storms—because summer in NJ—but we only got rained on for a second and felt safe because Dave checked his weather sources and seemed confident and knowledgeable. He was. Dave gave us a quick and dirty how-to-grip and how-to-paddle and then we were off. Pack bug spray because you will encounter gnats. Wear a swimsuit or something you don’t mind getting wet because you will get wet. All of your stuff will get wet. Not because of rain, but because kayaking.The sunset ended up being beautiful, and it seemed the threat of storms even drove most boats away. We got to enjoy it quietly and peacefully—as it should be.I won’t tell you what Dave told us—you’ll have to book your own to get the details yourself. Have a great time.(Photos by my Mom)

Went out with first time kayakers in our group. Our second time on a group tour with DAKS. Great experience. From beginning they take good care of you, ensure you know the basics of paddling before leaving. A great experience that includes occasional stops to hear stories and history of OCNJ and the bay. Would highly recommend, they do a great job!

Wow what a great experience.. emailed them about buying a kayak. The next morning I got a phone call from the owner... Asking all the questions to set me up with the prior kayak.. headed down to the shop got the full run down on the kayak paddle all the info needed... Great customer service.. I would highly recommend....

Such a great experience working with Daks. Their owner is a really nice and helpful guy - and he went out of his way to help my father and I get the items we need for our new kayaks, and he even helped us load the boats on our car. I can’t recommend Daks enough.

One of the only Crescent kayak dealers in new Jersey. Knowledgeable staff. Great selection of kayaks, paddle boards, and swimsuits and other gear. Staff were kind, friendly, offered individual advice, and helped us attach kayak to the car. Worth the trip!

At 62 years old I took my first paddle board lesson. Erin was great by the time the lesson was over I was standing and doing ok. Completely exhausted. Erin had the board in the water when I got to the boat ramp in OC Only down side was the green heads and Erin even shared her bug spray.

The best! A great shop for gifts and gear, great customer service, and great tours! The guides are knowledgeable and fun. The kayaks are clean and stable. The SUPs are cool and durable. DAKS Kayaks is the place for paddling in Ocean City!

Went for a beautiful sunset trip in the bay. The people at DAKS kept a close eye on the conditions and gave us the option of both different days to go and different routes to take to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted out of the trip. That flexibility was much appreciated as we picked both a different day and a different route. The tour guide was courteous, knowledgable, and funny. The views of the sunset over the bay marshes were great. I would go on a tour with DAKS again in a heartbeat.

What a great place! Owner run, very friendly. We rented paddle boards and a guide and had so much fun we bought 3 paddle boards. Dave gave us a real good deal, went out of his way to help me pack up the boards for the drive home to PA. I highly recommend Daks!!

Great tour guides who are knowledgeable and engaging with everyone on the trip. We went with our kids and my mom. Everyone had a blast. A great way to see nature.

Went on the eco-tour this morning and it was fantastic! Staff was great! We had two younger children (7 and 11) and both of the guides went out of their way to keep them engaged and entertained.Highly recommend

Ordered 3 Kayaks the day before. I was able to pay on the phone and they delivered them right to the beach house the next day on time. After a quick safety briefing and some tips I was on the water. After we were done, we put the kayaks out front and they were gone before I knew it. Definitely recommend since they charge the same as everywhere else and deliver for free!

If you want to rent kayaks or paddleboards while in OC, Daks is the only place to go!! I have rented from them the past two vacations and will always go back to them. Super friendly staff at all points in the process (scheduling the rental, drop off and pickup). I highly recommend going in person to schedule your rental because they have a great store too.
