The woman who I’m guessing is the owner is obviously one of those children haters, who sits right at the front of the store and waits to see your kid touch anything so she can yell not to. She lied and told my daughter not to touch a decoration she had in the entryway because she could cut herself on it. Well maybe don’t have things out you claim can cut someone (we all know it wouldn’t) The store is mostly clothing that looks pretty worn out. Smells like an old attic. Nothing worth coming back for a second trip. If you’re going to be in customer service I suggest learning to live with kids coming in your store. My daughter is five and when we left she looked up at me and said “that lady should know you have to touch something if you’re going to buy it” — smarter than the grouch that was sitting there.

Everytime I visit this store I have a wonderful time. There is so much to choose from...I purchased a beautiful reversible faux fur coat almost like new for $30. The prices are great and I love the owner. She is so personable and helpful. This is a must stop whenever you are in Ocean City, NJ

This place is the best!!! I got a fendi bag and 2 pairs of rainbow flip flops (all for $5 each!!). The owners are amazing and so sweet. One of the best thrift/ consignment stores I’ve ever been to.

My group of five walked into this establishment hoping to find something we liked. We were in for two minutes before another group came in, and a couple seconds after that a second group. Within ten minutes of being in the store, a woman who worked there approached us asking if we had “something specific in mind.” Due to the nature of thrifting, we did not have a specific item in mind, but we all had the intention to buy something. This store specifically was very unorganized—in style, type of clothing item, and color—so even if we had come in “something in mind,” it would have taken us a while to find it. We were then told that the store was “too crowded” and that we needed to leave. She did not tell this to the two groups that came in after us. Even without this experience, I would not bother shopping here, the items were mislabeled and most of the jewelry was severely broken. The woman who spoke to us was rude, and we will never give Could Be Yours Consignment our business.

Helena is sweet, warm, and guides me to her best finds. She has low priced designer pearls. Today I bought $20 Lucky jeans that are fabulous, and many other things. I always stop when I’m in town. This store is a “ treasure haven”. She and her husband are sweethearts. I don’t know how anyone could ever leave a nasty review here.!!!

Great place to find 2nd hand items

We like to shop in this store when were in town. A unique stock of clothes, accessories, shoes, jewelry, etc. A friendly staff always greets you. Good prices.

This establishment is prejudice against shoppers with children. I was repeatedly spoken to loudly about my son who was by my side as I walked in. The woman was so abruptly speaking to me she distracted me and my son ran under a rack of clothes. This was my second visit to the store, the first being when my son was 3 months old and when I entered I was yelled at the same way. I and my friends and family will never enter this store. Parents are people too and deserve to shop in a store without being yelled at.

I wish I read the reviews on google before I walked 2 feet into this horrible business. The owners are classless. Both the husband and wife were working when I attempted to enter their store with my small travel stroller that measures shoulder width. I first encountered their rudeness when I tried entering their door and the woman barked at me to be careful with my stroller. I politely said I will and Entered their second door. As I tried to squeeze through their racks that are a fire hazard, my stroller caught onto a scarf and accidentally knocked over three boxes of perfume. I immediately apologized and went to pick them up and heard omg there goes over $100 of inventory. Let me tell you not one item broke because they were sealed in protective boxes and it was cheap perfume that was covered in dust. I then told the woman i will be leaving because clearly you dont want my business and she said thats a good idea while her husband began barking and harassing me. Another 2 customers followed me out the door because they also felt uncomfortable and said theyve never seen owners treat potential customers like that. If I could give them negative stars I would. I couldnt get out of that store fast enough. Im shaking. According to other reviews these people dont like children and its clear. My daughter quietly sat in her stroller and said not one word or touched anything, but the fact i had her and a stroller in there I was harassed. This place is a disgrace. Im known for spending over $150 in consignment stores and they lost my business and the business of many other locals in the area.

I used to love going in here years ago until the female owner was downright cruel to my two year old daughter. I was in complete shock as she started screaming at her in front of the whole store (my daughter was behaving at my side as I picked out over $50 in merch- And i still don’t understand what provoked the meltdown of the owner because i left so quickly) Please don’t bring your children in this store- they are clearly unwelcome. They lost my business, and that of my fiends and family. Will never go back.

Fun to explore. Always find a bargain that works great for me. A lot of womens fashion, but a nice selection for men as well.

They were closed. Not happy

While the store is fine, the owners behavior leaves something to be desired. The male owner approached a mother breastfeeding her baby and proceeded to embarrass her by asking her to cover up. They said that her actions caused them to loose a customer, referencing a man who supposedly left because she was doing this very natural and nurturing thing. The mother and her family, who did not speak English very well, were clearly confused. The female owner then looked to me for backup, which I very soundly did not give and defended the mother. I left the store and have no plans on returning. I won’t patronize a store that so blatantly disrespects a mother’s rights and duties. For being located in “America’s GreatestFamily Resort”, it’s not too family friendly.

Helena is the best of helping you find what you are looking for, as well as what you didnt know you needed. Reasonable prices, clean store, and all items are in like new or new condition.
