I got a nice bird house for a dollar so thats cool and who doesnt like the price

We love the large variety of little plastic screw-top bottles of cold drinks. The staff was helpful when we could not find a comb. So nice to know that you can get cheap temporary quick fixes when you forget things while packing on a vacation . My husband greatly misses the Frozen ice cream section that they use to have as that was his favorite go-to place for his sweet tooth. 😢

A true boardwalk treasure. It is such a shame they are about to close. Everything in there was a dollar. Whether water, snacks, souvenirs, beach supplies, or anything else. This beats all Boardwalk prices. This place was truly a treasure.

The rides are fun for kids, lines move quick, larger rides in the back are just big enough that the adults can enjoy it too. Highly recommend.

This dollar store sells stuff that a normal dollar store or Dollar Tree does not sell. While the selection is not big, the value is high. Things like UV sunglasses for guys and girls or last minute flip flops make this a perfect Boardwalk store. Metal jewelry and toys seem to be higher quality than those that would typically retail elswhere for only a dollar.

This place is far from kid friendly or people friendly. The jersey shore is for families and shopping on the boardwalk. I wont go in this store if it was the only store on the boardwalk. Customer service I give a complete F for failure. Abrupt rude individuals run this store. The product of junk its not even worth a dollar. It seems to be that the products sitting around and is dry rotted, cheap. It falls apart. Sorry I dont think the boardwalk in Ocean City will appreciate what this store promotes,and how they handle customers. I never come here again.

I only gave this 1 star because that was the lowest choice. Owner Jill and Manager Michelle have absolutely zero customer service skills. When I tried to exchange 2 broken bracelets that I had bought two minutes prior her reply was, all sales are final...sorry. As I stood there in disbelief, she then said I dont want that two dollars coming out of my pay. WHAT???? Youre a manager! Make it right! Plain and simple! After trying to patiently to discuss this with her, I took the store number and vowed to call the owner the next day. The conversation with owner Jill went no better. Big surprise! She talked over me the entire time, lied, and then hung up on me never giving me a chance to speak! Unbelievable! Although I frequented this store often, I will NEVER EVER shop here again. I will gladly pay twice as much for a drink at a neighboring FRIENDLY business. Hows that for your paycheck Michelle?

Love to buy their towels at the dollar store although theyre not very friendly all the time

They have everything..toiletries, candy, toys, souvenirs, bottled drinks, flip flops. I got all our snacks and drinks for the room here however...they only take CASH. Please know this going in. But everywhere else you will pay 2.99 for m&ms and $2-3 for a bottle of water or soda. I even got a 4 pack of toothbrushes for $1. They have razors, kitchen utensils, hair bows...everything.

Best place to shop on the boardwalk when going to the beach has a huge expense for your family at least you can bring souvenirs home for yourself in the little ones as well

Its amazing that theres a dollar store at a tourist stop like ocean city. They have a great selection and its the best place to buy a drink on the boardwalk. Keep in mind they are cash only.

The store itself had amazing prices but my only complaint is that the cashier at the register had a very bad attitude. Should was getting very aggravated at me for confirming that the laser pointers worked. One of the other cashiers lost a battery but blamed it on me. Didn’t say goodbye or hello. Ruined the rest of my night.

This store is good because everything is only $1, but not so good because it isnt worth more than $1! The kids want to buy a toy, so its cheap, but it could break before you get home... The drinks are only $1 also!

Nice to see a dollar store in boardwalk. Mug, nail trimmer, souvenior and clothing are available. Majority merchandise is a dollar but others are more than a dollar.

If you are into rewarding people for bad behavior this is the place for you. Not everyone is suited for customer service under the best circumstances and deciding to open a store in a tourist location is challenging under the best circumstances. The owner of this establishment and the employees are mean, disrespectful, and spiteful and should not be in the service industry. People come from around the world to visit our beautiful beaches and boardwalk and expect to provided, at a minimum, basic customer service. Unfortunately, that expectation will not be met by the owner, manager, employees at this location and they will make zero attempt to even pretend to even try to treat their customers with respect, kindness, compassion, and reasonable accommodation. It would be in the best interest of New Jersey Shore Tourism if this establishment was no longer part of the landscape. Everything has a cost and if you walk through these doors the cost will be your fabulous vacation you spent months planning and cost a fortune will be tarnished by these completely incompetent people. Do NJ and yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money at establishments that want your business enough to train their employees in customer service.

Horrible service! Our kids purchased candy and chips from here, candy was over a year out of date and the chip bag had a hole it and they are so rude and would not let us switch it out for something else. Poor customer service! All they had to do was let the kids pick something else and the problem could have been fixed. But now we had to waste money and trash the items. For adults its one thing but for the children thats ridiculous.

Fun. Unique items. Great boardwalk shop.

The lady who works there is a nasty, miserable women. She yelled at my teenage son and kicked him out of the store. When I approached her and asked her why she did that she said he pushed the plastic stopper in on the bottom of a salt shaker. When I checked her accusation, I proved her wrong. Rather than apologizing for her mistake she kicked me out of the store too! Ive never been treated so poorly before and I will never return there.

STAY OUT OF THIS STORE. THE STORE OWNER IS NOT NICE TO CHILDREN. The store sells various balls and toys for children. If a child touches or bounces one of these items the old bag that runs the place come over and vehemently chastises them. THIS OWNER IS A NASTY WOMAN WHO IN THE STORE USES FOUL LANGUAGE IN FRONT OF CHILDREN.

They are charging 7% in sales tax when they are only reporting 6.625% to the state of NJ. It might be 2 cents, but its 2 cents per person and Im sure its being pocketed. When I confronted the cashier, a grown man, he made a face, made a noise and told me to report him.

It is good for getting cheap sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat just for the time youre there, but be careful with kids, because the owner does not like them playing with stuff in the store, and it is not a nice working environment.
