Rex was very professional and great to work with. The tech Josh was awesome also. I had my water pump replaced, transmission flushed, thermostat replaced and josh noticed I had a low quality belt on my truck and wanted to replace it. I know it was low quality because I put it on myself. When I went to pick my truck up the ac wasn’t working. I took it back and josh quickly diagnosed a leak. I had noticed my ac not working tip top but I figured it was due to the extreme heat (120 degrees where I live at the time) so I know they didn’t cause the issue. They quoted me a price for parts labor and Freon to repair the issue but when I went in the next day to get my truck they only charged me for the part. Josh even came in to work early to ensure I had my truck on time and did the work for free. Amazing shop. Honest guys. I’ll be back for sure.

Got a good deal of work done on my old Corolla here over the past few years. Honestly I think I would have scrapped her if these guys werent around. Had other shops fix things and the problems just seemed to persist. Cars good as new once again and passed Smog. Had some expensive work done, but I felt confident spending it here was the right choice.

The tow company had towed my car to the wrong location. Upon calling North County Auto Service to let them know of the mixup, Rex proceeded to try and capture my business. Fine, I get it. After I told him I would like to have it towed to the mechanic I had originally intended, he told me that I owe him for the inspection (60+ dollars). Since AAA had made the error, I felt him trying to hold me accountable for the inspection was not ethical. I felt as though he was threatening me if I did not have the services done at his shop. I felt extremely uncomfortable with how I was treated and will not be using North County Auto Service in the future.Edit: to the response- as I told Rex on the phone I already had the diagnostic done. There would be no reason to charge me for a diagnosis when I already have the information I need. You are trying to make it seem as though you gave me something of value when in reality all I was given was pressure to use your services. This is the same response I gave when dealing with your staff. I will be VERY clear next time I have a car towed that this is not the shop to take my car to.

We love North County Auto Services. When a local infinity dealer quoted us over $2k for an AC compressor replacement, I called my friends Rex & Mike at NCAS. I’ve been a customer of NCAS for years and I knew they could beat expectations by providing great service at a fraction of the cost. And indeed they were about 1/3 the cost, including the OEM unit, and delivered the repair in 1/2 day. Thanks Mike, Rex, and everyone at North County Auto.

Great service and straight forward mechanic. Brought my Toyota Tacoma here for service because my AC had a leaky line(s). Toyota Service center wanted to shotgun the approach and replace all the lines even though they werent all bad. They also wanted a small fortune to do this. So I started shopping around for 3rd party AC services. Reached out to several and would never be given an estimate or an idea of what theyd even do. Usually they told me just bring it by and well take a look. So no service plan and no idea of what it would cost me. I saw North County Auto Service had a good chunk of positive reviews so I figured Id give them a call. Rex helped me out over the phone and told me they would do the base AC checkup package they offer and proceed to test the AC and put dye in the lines if need be to look for leaks with UV lenses. Finally someone gave me a good idea of what service would be performed. I brought the truck in early morning and they had it done by late afternoon. Found the leaky lines, replaced them, and recharged my AC. Works good as new. Thanks again!

This is a place of integrity with solid good old fashion sincere work . Their words are true which is so hard to come by these days . Mike is very knowledgeable about the workings of your car . Mines is a Honda accord 2013. I used to take my car to a franchised mechanic shop that were only concerned about how much their daily sales were so they will just have you change parts with little validation of the reasons for it needing to be changed .They would just say its preventative maintenance. Then I discovered North County Auto, Mike who oversaw my repairs had the technician test and test . They took almost an entire day to diagnose my cars issue then advised me on the best course of action for the benefit of the proper working of my car and my well being . Great Job guys ! I love taking my jeep here! The staff mike and Tammy are so friendly. I brought my car in for a problem I couldnt fix myself. As soon as they were able to diagnose my problem (waiting for a tool from snap on) they dove right into my car. About an hour later mike gave me a call with a quote in hand I gave him the go ahead and they repaired everything in a timely manner! When everything was done I asked mike to diagnose my airbag light he told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. I asked him how much for the diagnosis and he said no charge! Tammy also took my jeep to get it washed and vacuumed with no charge! I love coming here their customer service is unmatched with no extra charges! Thank you for everything mike and Tammy I will be back. Never going to go anywhere else as Long as Im in the area! 5/5

Im very happy with my car works great and runs good I’ve actually worked on it a lot since I bought it, but the problem I’m having here is getting my license plates I’ve been waiting for them to send them to me or to let me know when they are ready for pick up. Instead of charging me registration they should of just let me registered the car myself instead of wasting my time.

Drove up from san diego to see a car advertised as mint. It had obviously been in a recent accident with new paint and loose panels not yet fully attached after the body work. I left very quickly.

Despite having my car delayed twice, once because of parts and another due to labor issues. Im still going to give this place 5 stars, because honestly they deserve it.They were honest and straight forward and never gave me the runaround. I was treated so nicely the entire time, and it shows they care. My car came out looking amazing and they even fixed a corner of my bumper that kept snapping off that wasnt even part of the area being worked on. I was updated on their progress at all times without me having to call.Thank you for everything!

Using Yelp, I found NCAS. Being near the Sprinter allowed me to get to and from my house. From the 1st visit, Mike and Tammy have been very nice and truly professional. Ive recommended them and continue to bring my car to them for service. The electrical issue I had was a nightmare, but they were able to find the problem and fix it. Try to give them extra time, if possible...theyre worth the wait.

I had my brakes done here a few weeks ago. I was completely blown away with the service I received. I chose North County Auto Service because the reviews were great. I was worried that who ever I took my car to would treat me differently because I’m a woman. They were great. They realize that there was a problem with my steering wheel. Instead of just telling me to get it looked at or offering to fix it for $400, they looked into the problem, called my dealership and found out it was still covered under my warranty. They even printed out all the info for me to take to the dealership to get it fixed. The part and laybor would have costed me $400. That kind of service and trust is a rare find these days. They were all so friendly and professional too. I have found my mechanics for life and will sing their praise to everyone I can.

ITS A SCAM ! THE WORST PLACE TO GET STUFF DONE. MY EXPERIENCE IS BELOW. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE 0 STARSI am a college student and I got my car towed at the mechanic. They did a diagnosis(55$) and they told me that the expenses would cost 400$. I told them that I can get the parts, and they started to argue a lot. After I gave them the parts they said they would work on it. The next day I get a call saying that they put the parts up and the car is still not working, and that I would have to pay 95$ for another diagnosis and then go from there. The next day I go to the garage at 7 am. What I see is THE PARTS ARE IN A PLASTIC WRAP ( The one you have to tear to get the part) when I confronted them they told me Ohhhh ummm you never said anything about the car not starting... and in my mind I was like are you that dumb to not figure out that the car didnt start because the parts were not in..? got my car out of there ASAP !!!BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET SCAMMEDi WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE

Glad I got to see their work ethic/attitude before bringing my business or referring anyone here.Called and asked for estimates. Told him im staying at a domestic violence shelter & that they get the funds for repairs approved but that I need estimates. Because he said what i already know, its better to bring it in & have it diagnosed. But since thats not an option, I asked for estimates. He said he gets ppl in my situation calling all the time & its just a waste of his time. Well, with that attitude MIKE I can see why women fleeing DOMESTIC VIOLENCE dont find you appealing.Was treated with Kindness & respect @ Jorge Alonso Auto Repair. He said hes helped many women in my situation. Had me send pics over & was MORE than willing to help me. Will be taking my car to Jorge Alonso for this repair, and any future repairs. As well as my referrals.. bc you better believe the women in my situation remember who helped them in a time of need. I didnt ask for a damn thing free- simple estimates. Sorry that was too much for you. But its PART OF THE BUSINESS BUDDY!

I had used their services several months ago, largely due to reading reviews that talked about their honesty. They did good work on my necessary repair, and strongly recommended more work that they felt needed to be done, which I grudgingly agreed to (because of the reviews about their honesty, I figured they must be legit).I went to them again this week because the clamp on my lower radiator hose popped off, and even though a friend helped me put a new one back on, we thought the hose was still leaking. After I dropped it off, the guys at North County Auto Service looked at it, tested it for pressure, and found no leaks. They also refilled my radiator and coolant reservoir, both of which were virtually empty. When I returned to pick it up, they didnt charge me a dime! (AND they had vacuumed my car!)Their honest work and generous ethics have made a loyal customer out of me.

County Auto Service is the place to take your vehicle if you are looking for an honest owner and good mechanics.I called every jeep service dealershi and many non jeep and FINALLY found this place. I was lucky enough to speak with Mike the owner and told him Ive never had a tune up or brake job since I bought the jeep.I asked to have many things fixed and Mike said they would test them before replacing them and come to find d out what I wanted fixed didnt need to be fixed but my brakes and rotors were dangerously low. I could technically say he saved my life but, Im thankful they find the problems that need to be fixed rather replace what I think needs to when what I thought was fine.Take your cars, trucks, jeeps here. Ask for Mike hes way cool and hea honest!

Rex and Mike are running an amazing auto repair shop! Both of them are very friendly and it is not just to your face; they truly care about their customers and (more importantly) the customers vehicles. I came in there after doing quite a bit of my own work on my truck (head gasket replacement) and they still treated me with respect when I needed help to find and fix the problem with my coolant system and their mechanics have attention to detail; he found a bolt for a tool I had cross threaded and after calling me and letting me know I gave them the green like to do what they could to get it out (it was cross threaded extremely bad) and they were able to remove it, fix the threads, and position the pulley correctly for a more than reasonable price. I was quoted by one auto repair shop $1000 to fix my issue .... Mike and Rex fixed the issue and the cross threaded bolt/misaligned pulley for less than half that!Thank you guys for your honesty, fairness, attention to detail and friendly conversation. :) Hopefully I dont have to comeback too often but when I do I will have the peace of mind that you and your mechanics are the ones taking care of my vehicle.Highly recommended! and Semper Fi!

I googled this place and went there after I saw it has 4.8 stars but I dont know how this shop has got high stars like this. I was asking them about how they work on cars and their answer made me feel every uncomfortable.. very cold and very poor customer service.

Do not call this company. Had an agreement with Mike on a new transmission for a chevrolet astro van to cost no more than 2500 dollars. I told him that the car was only worth that so will sell it otherwise. He called me and said the car was done but had a couple of extra things he did to it. I went to pick up car and the bill was for over 4000 dollars. Total bait and switch. I should have scrapped car and not paid. Do not call these guys.
