I was looking for a garage door company and stumbled upon this company. I have never met such nice, professional, business-oriented David was so personable. I told him I needed someone to look at the garage door and within hours a technician was at my door. Come to find out, my door was beyond repair. Within a few days, two installers came and replaced our entire garage system. The installers were quick and end result truly awesome workmanship. We went a little bit above our budget but it was well worth every penny. We have all the bells and whistles including external keypad and wifi control.It is truly difficult to find honest-working people these days. I am so glad we went with company. I dont write reviews often but Long Island garage door has surpassed my expectations.

*Honest Review*First Ill start with the pros:Price was comparable to other companies out there, I would say reasonable.The turnaround time was also very quick for what we needed and were looking for. One day installation.Good quality garage doors.Now the negative:As previously mentioned the job was done very quickly, one day installation. After the workers left, I started to notice why the job was done so quickly. Multiple screws were laying all over the garage. Some tracks only had one screw on them which is very unsafe, there are actually holes on the tracks for multiple screws which were just left out. The racks on the ceiling from the old doors were just reused and are hanging on by a few screws which also does not seem safe. Old receivers and sensors were all just left hanging where they were and not cleaned up.Garbage: all the garbage was just left there for us to clean up, even the boxes from the new doors which we didnt bring in. This is my first experience where a company came over my house to do work and their garabage was just left on the side of the house for us to throw away.Safety: I have personally fixed the springs on the door myself so I am familiar with the fact that the springs need a safety cable going through them. The springs are holding a 300+ lbs. door, if they snap they could seriously injure someone. When I called the company I was told Oh we dont do that, youll be fine. I dont think risking an injury is fine. Theres even a section in the instruction book that talks about how important it is to have that safety cable going through the springs.Customer service: with the screw issue mentioned previously, one of the doors was also mafunctioning. I called to get someone to comeout to fix it. A technician did come out, addressed the screw issue by screwing one screw in. Fixed the mafunctioning issue in 2 seconds. As I began to voice my concern about another issue with the door the person said: I have 10 other houses to go to. Turned around and just drove away.Conclusion: getting garage doors replaced is a big and expensive project and I wish I would have had a better experience with this company then I did. Would not recommend until the customer is treated with more respect and the work is done with better quality.

I found Long Island Garage doors and called and david answered promptly and came out the next morning. The door was too damaged to fix so a new garage door had to be installed. My house is old and the garage door was a unusual size but they were able to construct a custom door for the installation. I was given a fair quote and Im happy the outcome. I had a new garage door and garage door opener installed by this company over a month ago after my door broke leaving a big whole. I called this company and David, the owner, came the same afternoon to take a look and give me a estimate. David promised that if we went with him that he can get us in the very next day. So we went with him and can I tell you that we are not disappointed at all. He gave us a good quality door and the door opener. His price was fair and comparable to all other companies. The guys who installed the door, Dilan and Vishnu, were so polite and efficient. I did notice a problem, a few weeks when it rained, but when I called David he send the guys over that very afternoon to fix the problem. I will tell you that I am very particular with work getting done with my home and had David not send the guys back to fix what I saw, I would not have given him a 5 star, but not only did he send the guys, they fixed the problem after I told them how the water was being held in the door when it rained.
