David is a very well educated guitar player and songwriter. His professional experience shows in his teaching style and ability to explain music theory. He provides helpful analogies for the non-theory learner and has a wide range of chord knowledge. He is a pleasure to work with.

David is a great guitar teacher! I was fortunate to take lessons from him for about 8 months. Taking up guitar at 58 is difficult enough, but David could see that I didnt want to just memorize a bunch of songs. I wanted to learn to play the guitar and understand what I was playing. This allowed us to focus on improvisation, backing tracks, and understanding the fretboard. His instruction allowed me to better understand where I wanted to go with guitar and really enjoy this wonderful instrument.

Dave was my first real guitar teacher, and made a pivotal impact on my life as a guitarist/musician/writer. It was his understanding of music (not just guitar) that helped me view my instrument as part of the whole. Great guitar playing is not about the flashy solo, but its relationship with the composition/song. He didnt just teach me guitar, he taught me about being a musical person and that makes the best guitar players!

I have been lucky enough to work with both David and his wonderful wife Rebeca and it made such a difference in my performances, not just my guitar playing and singing mind you but as well performing and stage techniques and advice. David is not only patient and attentive and all the things a good guitar teacher should be but he is also fun to work out arrangements with and is just such a great guy. His years of performing and experience shine through when you work with him and therefore he is able to pass on to his students much more than the standard nuts and bolts of learning how to play guitar.Brenda McGonagle

Ive known David since I was a teenager. Ive heard him play in front of huge audiences, and have seen first hand the way his musicality shines through. So when I decided to take on learning to play the guitar, he was the obvious first choice as an instructor. David really understands how to connect with his female students. He inderstood the little adjustments he needed to make for me (smaller hands, smaller body size) and made me feel confident and comfortable. David doesnt just teach music. He teaches you how to BE musical. Huge difference. Hes a joy to study with!

I had my first lesson with David Randle at Guitar Lesson Expert and I was hooked! I hadnt been able to progress past a few simple chords, but David not only got me back on the road to playing, he taught me some easy but beautiful fingerpicking techniques that were exactly what I was looking for and just what I needed to enhance my playing.David is a gifted and true teacher in every sense of the word. Hes patient, knowledgeable with years of experience under his belt, and he makes learning easy and fun. I cant recommend him highly enough. If youre on the fence about getting back into guitar playing, jump off! You wont be sorry. --Carol

David takes it upon himself to help you realize what you dont know and what you do know . Even when you dont realize it. He reaches in and pulls out your doubts and makes them possibilities. Truly inspired and helped me find a path..... BRAVO!!

David wasted most of my lesson comparing guitar playing to real estate. I think David could have done or with our time. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I took lessons from David back in the American Dream days (no I wont say how long ago). I was what you might call a difficult student since I was pretty much only interested in learning what Eddie Van Halen was doing at the time. But Dave was patient and managed to finally get it through to me that, rather than teaching me how to play Runnin With The Devil, the concepts and techniques he was showing me were the building blocks to eventually make it possible for me to play ANYTHING I wanted. So while I still enjoy pulling out the old Ibanez Roadstar with the Floyd Rose and scortch the air with maniacal shredding, I also play folk and blues and other less ear splitting music. In my opinion there is no better teacher. If he can teach a bonehead like me he can teach you, too.
