The freshest and best pasta around. You cant beat their Cavatelli or Gnocchi. Of course their Ravioli is phenomenal, try the roasted red pepper ones you wont be disappointed. My family has been shopping at their stores for generations, dating back to the original in Brooklyn on Ave. N and the one on New Utrecht Ave. The staff here is friendly and willing to help. Dont forget the special $19.99 for 2 boxes of Ravioli, a quart of marinara sauce and a loaf of garlic bread!

They do not take off the tare (weight of the container) on any of their items that you buy there. If you are paying $11.98 per pound for an item, it is costing you a fraction of that $11.98 for the package and the packaging is supposed to be free. If you use the same exact size package for an item that is $5.98 per pound, then the package weight is based on that price. This is against the law and when it was brought to their attention, the guy behind the counter said We dont take that off. Thats how weve been doing it all these years Im here. Obviously the law does not pertain to Pastosa in Oceanside.

Nice Brooklyn style Italian deli. They bring in Italian bread from Brooklyn every day. Some imported specialties. It also is kind of hit and miss at times compared to its former self

Great food. Prices kinda high. The also do not tare weight packaging for foods bought from the case. Some of the plastic containers weigh about 1 to 2 oz and thay is being added to your purchase instead of it already being included in the price per lb.

Went two days before Christmas. I was there at 7:45 because the website said they were open at 8, but they actually opened at 8:30. It was cold waiting on line, but they let us in. They were organized to handle the crowds and of course the ravioli I bought was delicious!

I love this place any time I come up to NY I have to eat something from here and brought fews things on the way back. The taste like five star and inexpensive, best quality, one box of ravioli under $10 can served for 4-5 persons. Manicotti is so good. They have everything here.
