No need to explain other than we’re looking to get a more reliable vehicle due to young chev repair shop fixing everything except for the actual problem that we took it in for in the first place. 1 month after the repairs was done our Chevy sonic is still overheating
Where to start about five years ago brought my car in to have my rearview mirror put back on the window the mechanic told me he cannot do it because it was not the original windshield that was the last time I came in to their service area. Monday I had to bring my car in to have them fix whatever was going on with my coolant system. So they don’t get to my car until Tuesday to look at what was going on with my car they send me the video tell me everything that need to be fix I was also told they had everything in the shop to fix my car and it will be done at the end of Wednesday. My husband called them to see when my car will be done we were told they were still waiting on parts to come in and when they found out they would let us know when it will be done. We are now looking at them having my car for a week and people at the company lying to us, they even lying to us when we bought the car and they don’t like to make it right for the customer.
The day I purchased a vehicle from Young Chevrolet in Layton it was showing signs of ISSUES not just one. Test drive went great but on the way down to Provo and back it started having trouble. I called the same day and was told to bring it by the following day. I did and was continuoisly interrupted and spoken over about how all the vehicles go through a stringent inspection before there should be no issues. The engine idle was abnormal and it was indicating an oil change was due. Additionally the traction control was coming on for no apparent reason. When they took it in we wanted to go in the bay and look too since clearly it seems they are not thorough. One employee rolled his eyes at this. After the oil was checked (it did appear clean) and a once over of everything was done we were told no certified technician was working that day so thats all they could do. We were in visiting from out of state and to purchase a vehicle after our previous one was totaled (vehicle prices in my state were much more expensive) and could not delay until Monday so we left with their assurance from the service center that it was under warranty and any certified chevy technician could do the work. Thankfully we made it home but the vehicle promtply died a few days later. Had to have it towed... The warranty from the dealership is only valid if the work is performed there (700 miles from us) and the additional warranty purchased does not take affect for 45 days. The service center should treat customer concerns seriously and not advise on terms of a contract when they have no clue.
2004 duramax to the shop and had my transfer case and yoke replaced. Works great. Friendly people to work with you.
Very professional. Very helpful. I had a terrible time trying to get emissions done on my RV anywhere else. I popped in Young Chev and they were busy… but happily helped me complete the inspection. Kind and attentive staff throughout. Excellent experience.

Not to knowledgeable unless talking to management. Kinda pushy to buy things you dont need. Double check to make sure your getting the right part. Just paid$7 for a O ring that you can get a box of at harbor freight for $5
The service writer was very deceiving one thing led to the next until they got the money they were wanting. Replace a glo plug 6 months ago for 300 this go around they figured they could take advantage of a old man !!! Expecting a 300 bill forced to pay 1900. Never will be back crooks worse part is it didn’t need anything but the glo plug !!!!
Took my car to be serviced, they charged me enough to make the next mechanic I saw laugh at me. Had to see that second mechanic because my car broke down again the day after getting it back from Young Chevy. Apparently it was a fix that requires to parts to be replaced with each other, but they had only replaced one. The 2nd guy could have saved me about $500 had I gone to him originally, hes a family friend so I believe it.

Alfredo is the best salesman ever! The body shop helped a ton after my 17 Cruz was vandalized! Service fixed my OnStar issue. I love my car!!! Everyone should go get their vehicles from Alfredo!!! Special thanks to the Receptionist at the Body Shop and Service Manager Jim!
