The staff at this location arent just friendly and efficient, they make you feel welcome and not like youre interrupting their day. Label issue with your package? No problem, they take whatever time is needed to solve the mystery. Thanks for always being so helpful, guys!

Love this place! We have been picking up weekly from them for 3 years and they have never lost a package. Great service and they even bring my packages to my car when i have the baby and cant carry them. $5 per box is also quite reasonable. Only thing I would like to see if possible is Sunday hours again. That was always the best time to come and probably is for a lot of Canadians since its not a work day. Thanks Guys!!

Im not one to take to google to write a review, but I had to take the time to say that the staff at this UPS location are amazing. They are friendly, personable, and extremely helpful. Ive had nothing but great experiences at this location, they make the cross-border trip worthwhile. Would recommend to anyone close to the American border that needs to grab something that does not ship to Canada-A+ experience

On Friday I went to get a package (a ping pong table) that I thought would be a regular package. Turns out it was a freight package and couldnt even fit in my large 7 seater SUV. The guys working at UPS were so helpful and kind. I went to Lowes nearby and bought straps. The UPS guys help me get it on top of my car and strapped it. Some would never do that and I would not be able to bring this massive table home to Ottawa, Canada. Thank you so much for your amazing customer service!

I am a Canadian who does a lot of cross-border shopping. I used to use the UPS store for my pick-ups, but no longer. I have had too many problems with them. I use a competitive service that is much better organized.PRO:The one good thing UPS has (why I give them two stars instead of 1) is you can ship returns from there, which is convenient. That is the only good thing I can say about this store.CONs:1. The line-ups are long, sometimes insane around Christmas time. This is in part because of the next item.2. They keep all their packages in the back, which is fine, but they have a poor indexing system (if at all), because it takes anywhere from 3-20 minutes to locate your parcels. That means more time per person, which makes the line-ups longer and slower.3. Twice they have completely LOST my packages. There was no dispute - they acknowledged they received the package, but they could not find it, perhaps because of Item 2, above. One time was a $300 camera, the other was $20 memory card. In both cases, I reported the shipment lost or stolen to Amazon, who refunded my purchase price. It worries me that parcels just go missing at UPS, especially high value items.4. They do not notify you by email every time a parcel arrives, like other services do.5. They do not give out free bridge toll passes, the way other services do.6. Their prices are effectively higher. They charge $5 per package per week held by them. Other services charge $5 per package per year.7. They charge for the use of their computer and printer, whereas competitors provide free access to the computer and printer.

Ive been coming to this UPS for years but that will now stop. On my last visit, I just found out that theyre charging you extra for packages that have been sitting around for a while. I realize this has always been their policy but theyve never enforced it - until now. I cant get down to Ogdensburg (live in Canada) often so sometimes it can be 6-8 weeks before I pick things up. Canadians be aware! Switched my business to MyUSAdress (also in Ogdensburg) as they dont charge for items left up to one full year. Same rates. Sorry UPS … loved ya but now am leavin ya

My family and I use this location exclusively for receiving all our US online purchases. The staff are always very polite, courteous and willing to help. They allow free use of their package carts for hauling the large items back to our car. The location is clean and there is always someone at the front counter to greet us. Driving down from Canada we always make it a fun trip by stopping for authentic NY pizza or tasty Chinese buffet in Ogdensburg.

The line up is always crazy long and they have now lost two of my packages. One was signed for by their worker, but never appeared on their online tracker. When it was finally found 4 weeks later, they made me pay for the entire 4 weeks of storage although I had tried to pick it up the week it arrived and I was sent away!It is too aggravating to deal with them, I will definitely be trying out the other place nearby that charges $5.00 no matter how long it takes to pick up.I love the idea, but they are too busy to keep up with demand so things go missing. It is no wonder, packages are stacked everywhere and accessible to everyone.

Too bad that theres not a lot of places that offers this to Canadians. Ive been using this service for 10 years and I have to say that it gets worse and worse every time. The manager Michael deals with too many things at once, the staff is horrible, rude, rude.... did I say rude ? I mean come on, its like their waiting on a colonoscopy or something.The lady on the phone was yelling at me, they dont call you back.... The service is popular now so expect line ups.Get your package and get out and hope that everything you ordered is there.I wont be using this service anymore, not worth the hassle. Ill just pay the higher shipping costs to Canada. It was good when they came out with the idea.

I have been using their service for years coming from Ottawa. I saved 100s of dollars in shipping fees. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. Small or big items no issue. (PS: the new opening hours are not so convenient anymore: Sunday closed!!! which means I am not able to come for weeks! It is always very busy on Sundays so why the new schedule?)

Amazing service! I went to send out my wedding invitations, a few days later they told me there was a problem with the postage and they offered to stamp all 120 envelopes for me as i live an hour away. Thats going above and beyond! Thank you so so much!!

I have had packages shipped there for years. It is a pretty good service. My only suggestion is that they should get a # system when you arrive to pick up something as it can get hectic and easy to lose track of who was waiting first.

Employee typed in wrong shipping address so package was returned to me damaged & torn. They did recognize their mistake, but I had to wait nearly half an hour for the owner to get off the phone (his priority was to get his copy machine fixed). A very nice older gentleman finally took care of the package - thank you Sir. Not impressed with the owner/manager at all. Customers: check that the shipping label has the correct address, dont expect the owner/manager to make you a priority. I mail over 3,000 items a year via USPS & this is my 2nd UPS experience -- hope to avoid having to use their services in the future, but have learned some lessons if there is a next time!

DANGEROUS!!!My experience over the years has been excellent. However, It is true that the security is non-existent because ID of the pickup person is not checked. Anyone can find a name on the UPS website and steal the package/envelope. UPS - PLEASE check ID..

They absolutely do have an unsafe way to manage there shipment. They do not request ID, and anyone can pickup your stuff. They are responsible for your stuff and if your stuff get stolen then a police report should be filed.

After reading all of the negative comments, I just had to write my own review.Yes, the store is inundated with consumer traffic, and most of it from Canadian packages. That is a GOOD thing...especially with the US economy having tanked in the past years. At least this store is one that is doing very well.My family do a lot of our shopping online and many of our purchases are from US sites that want way too much money for shipping to Canada. Often there is free shipping when sent to a US address. Being that Ogdensburg is only an hour away from our home, we get many packages sent to the UPS store. In all the years we have been doing this, they had misplaced only one package. They were very, very friendly and helpful and even let my daughter and I look through their rows of packaged filled shelves in the back, to find it....and we did!They are a family owned store and yes, they many not be extremely professional, but Ive never had any bad service. Actually, weve only had terrific, personable and friendly service. I guess its all about how the customer comes off to them. If you are nasty, impatient and grumpy....I suppose that is what you will get back. It is crazy in that store, often, and I think the staff do a fantastic job, keeping it all together.Next time youre in the store waiting in line...try smiling, relaxing and maybe, just maybe, engage with your fellow man and alleviate the wait with some nice conversation. Youll be surprised how the time will fly by.Oh, and if you want to find out if your package is there...they have a terrific tool on their website to track it yourself.Thanks to all the staff at the Ogdensburg UPS Store!!!Two Thumbs UP!!

Good, but....The problem with the UPS store is that they are overwhelmed by the volume of canadian owned items that goes through their store every week. I used to go there but stopped a while back as shipments were getting lost on a regular basis. And, as others mentionned, they cannot care less... The way to go, now a day, is the Corporate Center, which is minutes from there; it is an enclosed warehouse to which you will not have access to others packages... Therefore, less of a flee market if compared to UPS. Google it! You can even have larger items (requiring a lift size of item) delivered there. The only hick is... cash only. Good luck!

Im Canadian and have been using the UPS store in Ogdensburg for years for my online purchases. Sometimes you will have to wait in line for a while but thats no fault of the store when youre in a line at US customs you can be sure youll be in a line at the UPS store because thats where most people are going. Ive only had one parcel misplaced but an employee asked me to come out back and between the two of us we found it in 10 minutes

I cant believe that UPS Ogdensburg dares to replied to a bad review regarding their lack of security with an excuse about involving the police. What everyone is saying about this place and lack of security is absolutely true. THERE IS NONE!!!!! Anyone can go on their site and punch in the first letter of any name and everyone that has a package there with that letter, will come up, with the amount of package(s) and when it has arrived. Then its just a matter of showing up and saying that name, pay the $5 per package(s) and go with your treasure. I know first hand because that is exactly what happen to me. When I tried to complain and get those parcels paid, due to their lack of security, I was laugh at by the owner. This is the worst security for your parcels, as well as the worst customer service, I have received anywhere. In Ogdensburg, there are other places to go to pick up your parcels, where they actually check ID, such as Fedex or NAC logistic (which is immediately to your left when you get off the Canadian bridge (808 Proctor Street). NAC does check the ID and has great service. If you dont believe me ask yourself Have they ever asked for ID when you picked up at UPS?? Go to their site and punch in a letter and see the info available. Then ask yourself how safe are your parcels there???? I would give UPS Ogdensburg a big fat zero for a rating if this site would allow it. Furthermore, if anyone is expecting to pick up at UPS anytime near xmas, expect to wait numerous hours due to their lack of organization and security (which is non-existent! PS: to the manager/owner of UPS In all my years of dealing with the business world, you are the lowest, no good for nothing I dealt with!!

I was VERY excited to find the UPS store and only 1hr from Ottawa. This would take care of all the crazy shipping costs when ordering from the states. So for Christmas, this year, I ordered 6 packages and got them delivered to this store.I went there, Friday morning, stood in line for quite some time, which is not a big deal, but when I got to the counter, after a 15 min wait, there was 1 package they could not find. They sent me on my way and told me to call Monday am when things had cleared out a bit. So, this morning, I called them. They found the package YAY!!!!....but are refusing to ship it to me at their expense, and were particularly rude in saying that they WOULD NOT do it.....although it was their error. To be fair, I think I only dealt with the one, older gentleman, who is lacking in kindness.....So, so, bummed about this!The place seems to be quite dissorganized, which explains the inability to locate it in the first place. I dont think Ill be doing much business there ever again.

Be carefull !!!! That ups store is not a safe place to get your stuff shipped too. There online advertising makes your packages vulnorable, Because anybody can go to the store and say your name and pick them up. they dont check id . At least thats from my experience from the multiple times i went there and was honest and picked up only my own packages. I was a victim of this. got multiple packages stollen and the ups store says theres nothing they can do for me. whoever picked up 4350$ worth of my stuff never got asked id and got away will all my stuff. Dont get your stuff shipped there if you dont this to happen to you. thanks
