This is one of my favorite places to go! Book stores are few & far between in our area & its nice to have one as amazing as Schuler! So many books to choose from, in do many genres. And I love that they have recommended books throughout each section for people who are looking for something new. And dont get me started on the helpful staff! Theyre amazing!

This is my favorite bookstore. I can usually find what I am looking for and if not they can special order it and its comes quickly. There is a decent selection of board games. Its not as extensive as a dedicated board game shop but its a very good selection with some great games. Its also got great gifts and its a must stop shop when I am looking for something special. The used book selection is always fun to look through as well.

Good help on the phone with a book title, they had IN STOCK! Theyre kinda like a nice Borders of old but no coffee I think! Curbside pickup but you can spend a nice hour browsing through all their nicely arranged, zillion subjects they feature. That was my first trip, theyre my bookstore from now on!

I love bookstores, I am heartbroken that so many are closing. I am glad to see this one is doing well. I was really surprised to see they are stocling a lot of used books now. Those can be really affordable. It will be really nice when they can open the cafe again. The smell of books and coffee is wonderful.

Prices can be high here, but my kids always enjoy getting new books so I feel like its worth it!

This is an enormous book store! And not just books, theres a deli, gifts, blankets, markers and so much more!Theres a small selection of used books for sale as well as the huge selection of new. And so many genres and options.I truly get overwhelmed after I walk in since there is so much reading material in there! My brain goes crazy!The staff is helpful, usually nice but there are a few I struggle interacting with.

I love this book store and their used books section. The staff is always really friendly and its exciting to browse the used books in anticipation of what great treasures youll find!

They have lost my familys business for good. I do not care if people choose to or not to wear a mask. That is their constitutional right. However I am unable to medically tolerate it and was refused entry. Mind you the Governor unmasked the state to a certain extent. I have never before (during the pandemic) been refused entry to this store. Their rules and guidelines are NOT consistant. I took my $200 business to Barnes and Noble, where they tolerate mask and no mask customers, without hassle. The man did not even ASK if we had a mask of if we would please put a mask on. He simply said no mask no entry. VERY rude. Very disappointed in this company.

Schuler Books is the nicest book store I have ever been in. They have both new and used books as well as lots of other wonderful things to buy. It has a very nice layout and the employees are all so helpful and nice. The cafe has the best food around and they hope it will reopen by summer.

Schulers has always been one of my favorite places to shop. Today I was looking for more WHERES WALDO books because Ive introduced Waldo to my 8 year old grandson and hes hooked! I found a travel sized Waldo book filled with games, puzzles, and lots of Waldo things to search for. Schulers always has something for everyone!

My expectations were higher based on photos posted on Instagram. Although the store is nicely laid out with signage indicating sections and which books are used. They have a discount program and book club books are discounted. They also have a great selection of jigsaw puzzles and games as well as other unique trinkets. Spent about 45 minutes browsing. Parking is right by the store. There is an entrance directly into the store and one from the mall. Hours are 11-6 on Sundays and 9-9 Monday through Friday.

It was great to see an independent bookstore this size! I was in the area for a few days and had forgotten to bring a book. So, I popped in to pick up some used books. I got a few used titles and was pleasantly surprised when I was able to pick up a new book Id been wanting to read.

Love this bookstore. Lots of books, even used and very friendly and helpful staff. The location in Grand Rapids seems to be bigger but Schulers is our favorite bookstore by far.

Great number of books and fun things to do. Puzzles, old fashion music records and various other things to do without a screen. Highly recommend.

I love shopping at Schulers Books, they have a wide variety of fiction and non fiction books as well as childrens books and toys and crafts, a great music department and magazines the staff is very friendly and helpful and its a great place to browse, looking forward to returning soon.☺

Great book store. Always interesting finds in the new releases, but also the used book inventory as well. Pricing is ok and there is plenty more than just books. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Must visit spot for the greater Lansing area.

Schuler books is a great place for fun gifts. A lot of novelty ideas that help out in a pinch, especially when youre struggling to find something that does not look last minute!! Great conversation items too ....

Helpful staff...did not have the book I needed but had a variety of things book users could utilize.

Great independent bookstore. Try to purchase items there before that store named after a river in South America. Cant wait for the cafe to reopen.

Wanted a coffee, but the only coffee shop in the mall was closed.

Very helpful staff. Had amazing selection for gifts. A bit crowded for my comfort but everyone was trying to distance and they were very mindful of how many people were in there.

The staff here are very helpful and the selection is great. Before, I liked spending a lot of time browsing the stacks, but recently Ive been ordering books online to pick up in store. Its a nice way to stay safe while supporting a local business.

Lovely, locally owned bookstore. Friendly and helpful staff. Good collection of local authors in addition to large collection of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, childrens and young adults, and games/puzzles. Helps coordinate book clubs. Always well kept and well organized. Did most of my Christmas shopping here.

Best boo store in the area. Has a very wide selection. Plus the used book section is nice when youre looking to get several books at one time. They have a great kids section too, it takes my kid a long time to decide what to get. Also they have vinyl records which is something you dont see very often.

I love Schulers! They have an excellent selection of books in store, and are always happy to help if you need something ordered. Their prices are typical for an indie bookstore - higher than Barnes and Noble or Amazon, but Im happy to pay a little more to support them. Their game and puzzle area was recently redone and is bigger than before, with a lot of classics and variety for families, kids, and more serious players. The Chapbook Cafe within the store also has a variety of tasty treats and drinks.

This bookstore has a very wide selection of items for you to look through. It ranges from any type of book to magazines and toys. It has a cafe built in, but due to COVID-19 it’s closed. They have a small decent selection of board and card games and plenty of novelties. The store layout is very convenient and is organized by type of books with the checkout counter in the front right when you walk in. It also has mall entrances (two I believe), but they were closed due to COVID-19 as well. This store has a very wide selection and is worth the stop and look through. It also has bathrooms located past the cafe by the toys.

Clean. COVID safe. I saved about $15 because the book I wanted was available used.

Love this place! Great gifts in addition to books for sale. Lots of fair trade jewelry and home goods, even t shirts. Ive found some great items here. Also love the cafe. Great service and wonderful place to meet a friend or study. Love to sit by the gas fireplace.

Used to enjoy going in there but not anymore. Had A MASK ON but manager came over and said pull your mask up over your nose then proceeded to literally babysit us until we paid and left. This has gotten SO OUT OF HAND its ridiculous. Been to other stores and NEVER been followed. NEVER GOING BACK.

Im surprised bookstores are still around with technology so popular. But glad this store is still around. Nice to sit and enjoy a book.

The stores open through the parking lot Entrance only. I thought it was busier than perhaps what it should be but not as near as busy as it would have been a year ago on Christmas Eve. Found what we were looking for and the wait staff were very pleasant.

Schuler Books is a great place to shop for everything books and related to books. The full-service bookstore has helpful staff, a full cafe, magazines and gifts. There is Michigan-related stuff too!

Very inconvenient that the mall entrances are closed. I understand the capacity counting aspect, but there are ways to implement it without inconveniencing guests and deterring them from stopping in.

Great selection of books. If they dont have what you want, they will do their best to get it for you. Their staff is knowledgeable on the books they sell and can recommend books to you. Their coffee shop has great choices for coffee and other beverages. They also have good desserts. I would recommend Schulers to everyone.

Better than the Lansing mall more ideas for shops for a nice variety besides the angry and smelly people that work there it can range between sweat from the obese or cheap cologne from the ghetto people other than that a great visit

I love looking at the books they have but the stuffed animals are expensive, I can understand that though.

I love how everything is laid out beautifully. Sections with recommendations on the ends and at the top of book shelves. Very easy to find a great book!
