I like JC Penneys

I needed to go back to Penneys to return a clothes item I got for Christmas. I had the tags still on the sweater but didnt have the receipt. They were able to look it up by the number on the tag and let me exchange it for a different size. While getting a different size I also saw a different sweater on sale and got that also. The clerk was very helpful. I wasnt sure it would happen without the receipt but they did. I will go back again.

I recently had a minor emergency situation there with a friend and staff was on point for assistance and offered limitless assist with the situation. Meridian JC Penneys customer service is excellent!..I salute the management there as well!

The Meridian Mall Penneys store was easy to find what I wanted. The prices were good and checkout was quick and easy. I was disappointed though that they didnt have gift boxes for the apparel gifts I bought. That used to be part of shopping at Penneys during the Christmas season.

No wide shoes for women

Reasonable sales most of the time. Its kinda like Kohls - if it isnt on sale, youre paying too much. This Penneys location is pretty clean and mostly organized. We got 3 teenagers winter coats, 4 pairs of dungarees, 6 pairs of socks, and t-shirt for 160 bucks. If youre in it to win it, get a JCP charge card to save extra.

Nice JCPenney. It is a little smaller than the JCPenney at Lansing Mall across town but they still have a pretty good selection of the usual clothing, jewelery, and small home appliances. They sell good quality clothing at low prices. For clothes, I usually go to JCPenney first.

When we went in the store to return a pair of boots I had ordered online for a larger size, I spotted this sherpa top half off on sale. I landed up buying it + one if the beautiful mirror compacts they had half off! It was just beautiful. Our saleslady who waited on us was so polite + friendly. Everything there was so nice × we love that store.

I was returning several items purchased online back to the store and the process was very simple, no hassle from cashier at all.

Ill admit, Ive only been in this store a few times before, but every now and again, Id find something cute. Sometimes, the deals are really good, so I can appreciate taking the time to check it out occasionally. My husband and I were doing some Christmas shopping and we ran in here, he fell in love with the matching family pajamas and we were all set to buy them except it seemed they didnt have enough (theres 4 of us). We asked two employees if there were more and where they would be and were told dont know, check online. I was shocked by this since so many people ARE shopping online and the point was, we wanted to eyeball sizes ourselves. We checked out jewelry as well, and felt more pressure than necessary about getting a credit card. Needless to say, we left. We purchased nothing, and I checked Amazon for pajamas. Perhaps I will check clothing deals prior to next school year, I hope its a better experience then.

I usually like Penneys, but lately each time Ive been in it seems like theyre having a harder & harder time managing customer flow. It seems very different from years past. Staff are plenty friendly, but seem like they dont have the resources or training to do what they need to do. Today there were 2 women working at customer service & a line of customers. Both women were clearly struggling & had been with their same customers 10+ minutes each. A manager walked by (looked like he was giving a tour to new employees). He could have used this as a teaching opportunity & jumped in to help, but instead he looked at the line & kept walking.

Easy access, great parking, beautiful items. Disappointed they do not carry my shoe size. Great public restrooms.

There were a lot of sales going on but inventory was a bit low. Overall good experience.

I read a book about the absence of quality service in todays days and how it is so rare that many are taken aback when service staff goes above and beyond for their customer. I have never experienced SUCH great customer service any where. The staff here was EXTREMELY helpful and assisted in basically searching the entire store for a top I needed for my job. They were unbelievably understanding of my current situation as a college student with low income and how I needed to find something reasonable within my budget. One of the managers, Tet, was incredibly helpful and helped me with sizes and even gave me free samples from their new Sephora stand. As a customer that hadnt stepped foot in a Penneys in years I will definitely be coming back. Thanks for your exemplary service(:

I like the store. I never go in the store anymore nowadays you just ordered online and pick it up. I think a lot of other people must do this too because the store has a lot less stuff in that than it used to. I keep hearing rumors that theyre going to go out of business. I hope its not true but I wouldnt be surprised if it happens. Im not an Amazon fan so theyll have my business until they disappear.

No service. All registers closed except one. Called the store and the register that was open had no one in line they put me on hold 3 times. By the time they got to me it was 835 PM. They close at 9 PM. Was told employee was on break. Who in the HELL takes breaks 30 min before closing. They were just plain lazy. No wonder they are going under. Been a faithful shopper for 40 years but tonite they lost a LOYAL customer

Totally taken advantage of with a discount on the shelf and a mailer coupon to suck me in! Found the exact same product for over $100 less. Nice try JCP..glad I did my research and saved MYSELF from totally being taken advantage of. I use to be a die hard supporter and shopped for most my clothes here. Due to the home departments antics, I will never shop for home goods or clothes here again!

So the girl working was new and needed help with my return. I think training should be an area to review with management because the other employee helping was not up to speed either. Finally a manager assisted us and we all learned something... I must say that the staff was nice and the newbie was genuinely apologetic for the confusion.

Seriously going downhill. I have no idea how they stay open. Two registers in the whole store and forget about the days when people could actually help you shop.

It was a great experience to shop for bed sheets and the staff helped me with all my questions. I am very pleased with the sale price and even more excited about a perfect fit.

Jc Penneys is stuck in the 1970s 1980s. they need to really revamp their stores. very outdated and run down, every location.

As always, my jeans were getting alot worn and needed some new before I wore a hole thru them.. Tried on a couple different shades and all was good, no increase in pant size. So I got 3 pair, just like I did over a year ago. Still size 6. Thankyou LordIts Mothers Day and Im going to let my husband treat me to my favorite ice cream Georgia Bay buttet pecan...Thankyou Pennys for being such nice and helpful people 😉

The down hill slide is really showing in the stores. Minimal selection of merchandise that is not the same quality. They no longer carry the stafford collect ion dress shirts for big and tall. Online order is a chaotic mess. On to my new favorite mens store whatever that might be.

I was shopping elsewhere and found a 25 gift card to JC Penney on the floor, after finding out it was full. I went there to use it..I dont usually shop here.i found it really hard to spend and finally decided on a blue tooth speaker that had been marked down..Im not a big fan of the store really...

I typically dont write reviews. I either write them when service was really bad or really good. In the case of dealing with JC Penny it has been exceptional! Brenna, one of the store supervisors went up and beyond her duties to make sure I was happy. Its very rare you encounter someone that actually cares! JC Penny is winning by having her on their team!My order was lost by UPS and I was contacted immediately by Brenna. From this point, I didnt know what I was going to do or what was going to happen. I ordered an expensive ring, so it wasnt a quick fix, but it was. A few hours later Brenna and I spoke and let me tell you, she handled the situation by meeting my expectations and so much more. This young lady has a bright future and if JC Penny doesnt move her up in the company, she can come work with me. Thank you Brenna and JC Penny!

Horrific customer service! I will never shop at that store again. Green oak Store in Brighton is way friendly, they give you a coupon even if there isnt one out and they go above and beyond for you, to make sure you are happy when you leave the store. Marrissa the store manager at Brighton, needs to train the store manager in Meridian. So her people are like Brighton more.
