I went here to buy an electric fireplace for my daughter. I had Stacy as my sales associate. She was very helpful and extremely patient as I dug through my phone for a discount coupon. Stacy was very pleasant ( I asked if her mom had it going on but Stacy was really on it much more than her mom... and she smiled)

I found what I was looking for without any trouble. The clerks were polite and helpful. The store was clean and well maintained. Prices are good. There is a varying degree of quality. Many/most items are disposable Made in China products. I am trying to avoid purchasing regularly.

Wide selection, good prices, great furniture prices. Bummer that they dont deliver, but everything is available for same day pick up. Cashier was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Ive shopped with Big lots for over 30 years

I went in to the Okemos big lots to purchase a recliner. I picked one out that said in big letter take home today I was informed that it was not in stock and that Id need to order it so I said ok when would it come in and they told me that they dont have that information. Almost all of the furniture says that it can be taken home today when in fact they dont have any of it in stock. I was informed that everything says that but they dont really have it. We needed a chair today so we settled for one of 5 that they had in stock and when we went outside to load it up a couple of girls who couldnt have been more than 5 and a half feet tall were tryi g to load up 2 huge couches for another customer. Take the signs off of the furniture that us falsely advertising the furniture availability!

Well-maintained stores had a nice variety of different things it was kind of unique to other stores and if you buy something at McDonalds Taco Bell or you can always park in the parking lot at Big Lots theres plenty of room in the back a nice quiet secluded area little bonus for the store

Great open space to shop. The environment is cozy and comfortable, dont have people walking on your heels or stepping on your toes here. Theres a steady pace of customers and the store provides room.

Outside parking lot and storefront is among the nicer Big Lots I have seen anywhere in Michigan. Inside, the trend continues with good lighting and good atmosphere.Employees were friendly and helpful. Checkout was quick and we were able to get $40 off our $200 purchase with a coupon I found in my email.Please make sure to stock the shelves with the SKU in the picture.

I love Big Lots. Great variety & prices. I like the $5 off $15 coupon after every 3 visits, as well as special coupons they issue from time to time.

They have improved a lot since last time. Now its my most favorite store. They have quite a good collection at a reasonable price.

I had a question about some furniture and asked for help. I stood there about 10 mins and no one came. Ended up answering my own question by going online. When we went up front to check out with the item i found, the guy asked if we found everything all right and we told him that no one came to help us. He didnt apologize or see if he could get us the help. He seemed super spaced out. I found a couch and love seat combo i liked there but am considering going elsewhere because of the customer service.

Okemos Big Lots is an amazing store. I frequently go just to see what deals theyre currently offering. Prices range from comparable to other local stores to extremely good deals. My most frequent purchases include LaCroix canned water, dry goods, cooking spices, vitamins, pet treats, household cleaners, and budget electronic stuff (chargers etc). Most of the stores floor space is furniture and home goods. Its neatly arranged, brightly lit, and clean. You can see across the whole store from the entrance.The rewards program is great as well. I had $5-$15 coupons to redeem on virtually every shopping trip during 2020, and occasionally receipts will have a 20% Bounce Back coupon to use within about a week, which is extremely good savings.The store is rarely busy when I visit and browsing is a peaceful experience. Store staff is super helpful and everyone has been so friendly every time Ive shopped here.If I had to complain about one thing - the checkout counters are too small for big multi-item purchases. There isnt space for cashiers to keep checked items and unscanned items adequately separated. I kinda feel a little bad pushing a very full cart up to a register.All in all, I love shopping here. Given how I can get in and out quick with no waiting, I find myself choosing Big Lots over other stores even when they carry similar things.

Big Lots is Awesome! When they run a sale, the prices are great! They just ran a 20% off Member Coupon, and I bought a $300 MSRP Rocking chair for $189.00 sale price plus the 20% off. Premium quality? Maybe not. But seems to be what I needed at the price I wanted. Thank You Big Lots!

This place has very interesting stuff. I like to shop here. You never know what youll find, really, but its clean and pleasant to shop. Ive only bought a few small things, nothing major so I cant comment too much on the quality, but I like most of the little decorative pieces Ive bought. Give it a try.

Love this place! People who work there are always helpful and nice. You get greeted when ya walk in. Filled up 2 carts with home goods to fill a new apartment and got out of there for half the price you would have at Meijer and with better quality than you can get at Walmart. Only 4 stars cuz theres always room for improvement.
