Wonderful people. They were helpful and made beautiful pictures out of old ones.

Took two Nikon speed lights that I couldnt get to turn on. Check the direction of the batteries, replaced with new batteries, thought they were dead. Couldnt understand how both could stop working at the same time. Brought them in, Jennifer turned them on an the screen stayed off. She checked the batteries, no corrosion and they were in the right way. She took the batteries out, put them back in an low and behold it came on. Dont know why or how other than she has the magic touch. Did the same with the second one and much to my amazement it came on. She saved me hundreds due to I didnt have to replace them. She has the magic touch!

Fingerprinting was done quickly and I was in-and-out in less than 5 minutes.

Had an amazing experience with Bedford. I ordered a Canon R5 through Steve and his team after a strong recommendation by a world renown photographer friend of mine. The communication was superb, pricing was spot on and while other websites keep extending false promises, taking months and months to fulfill orders, Bedford followed through almost exactly to the day of the expected ship date. Cannot recommend them highly enough and will continue to purchase here.

Great customer service. They greet you as soon as you walk in! We had some seriously old photos (some from the 20s) copied with touch ups. They came out absolutely ready to frame! My family is from the high mountains in Eastern Tennessee. Seeing a cleared up picture of my great grandfather, grandfather, and my mother as a baby, sitting on an old porch one playing a fiddle, the other an acoustic guitar. Mom was playing with her dog. Amazing job on these photos!!

Decent rental prices- and gave me a good deal when I needed to keep the lense a day longer. I’m not sure if they have set prices because I called a few different times trying to decide but the total amount changed with different people I spoke to for the same lense and same length of time. Amazing quality lense and was great for deciding if I wanted to purchase this lense.

I recommend Bedford Camera and Video! They are honest people. When I called - Emily answered the phone. I had a tough question so she needed an hour to research the answer. I first made contact with Martin (my photography guru) whom has become my go to person- His product and photography knowledge, his customer service skills, and his character are all around the best I’ve found in the industry. You think you you’ll get the same thing but “cheaper” on Amazon/ online- well I’m here to tell you what your trading:1) a physical location and a person to call on or visit with any questions or concerns you may have with your purchase2) Promotions and deals that are only available to the store through the camera companies3) Classes and hands on practice weekly on varying topics within photography4) The ability to touch and feel and test the equipment with your own hands5) The knowledge of the staff to ask questions to about the equipment or items you are interested in6) See what your buying before you purchase with a decent return policy that doesn’t require you to contact the seller- purchase a return label- package and ship the items and wait weeks for a refund. So much more convenient.7) A network and relationships with other photographers in the area that can provide even more knowledge, practice, and the potential to grow your business8) Rent equipment for a one time use or to try out a new lens/camera/light to determine if you’d like to purchase in the future.9) Order and pick up prints on-site with a quick turnaround time and the ability to check quality in person.All of this for possibly a slightly higher price... BUT not usually! Bedford has price matched for me many times before though typically they are right on point with all of their online competitors. I cannot tell you enough what a great decision it was to step foot in this store. Martin has shared more information/ tips/ tricks with me that might have taken me years to learn on my own or possibly that I’d just never have known and been a worse photographer for it. I am better because of him! He has expanded my abilities and grown me in my field in a way I’d never have expected. He’s even lent me his own personal equipment and spent his own time helping and coaching me through tough shoots. I am forever grateful for him and Bedford! Really didnt care for the Photography store at all, they get the most expensive products, and dont really care for the little guys if they can afford the items or not. The people there are too stiff upper lip.their really happy when the elite comes thru there door and shells out 300 dollars or more at a blink of an eye.... they suck.

Great staff, all willing to go the extra mile to get what you need. Offer great classes, photowalks, and the like. They arent the biggest camera store in the world, but they are the best. I ordered a virtually impossible to get lens from them, and had it in 2 weeks, while other people across the country waited. Just outstanding service.

Equipment for you, as well as photo processing, digital services, photo restoration, etc. Very attentive staff; someone usually asks how they can help you almost immediately after you walk in. Jerry in Digital Imaging asked a bundle of questions to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted, and then delivered on all of those responses. I had a great experience and I will keep going back with any camera/video/photo needs!

This place was super cool. Ive never been to a photography store and Martin was incredibly helpful and polite. He let me try out all kinds of lenses with my camera and told me all the prices. He was very transparent with the business and very honest about his thoughts about gear. I will definitely come back!

They dont do camera repair, but they have Excellent customer service and are happy to help whenever possible. Definitely the best place to get film supplies from.

I purchase ALL of my camera gear at Bedford Camera and Video for many reasons. First, and foremost, theyre local. Many prices are set by the manufacturer, so their prices are the same as everyone else. Second, service & expertise. When I mess some setting up, or need help, I can just haul in there with my gear and theyll help me out. It doesnt matter what the question is, they have always been able to help me. Should you chose to buy from a big box store or online somewhere, you arent going to be able to run in and ask for help. Box store employees dont have the knowledge to answer your questions, and online...emails? Thats not going to work in a pinch. Youll be on your own to figure out your gear and how to use it. Third, the people. Since I shop there quite frequently, I have really gotten to know most of the staff there. They are a pleasure to chat with, and are always willing to listen to my ideas. Its a great place, with great people. I highly recommend!

Bill was very informative. In fact I ended up purchasing a different camera. One I hadnt researched but suites my needs better then the one I came in for. The extra few minutes Bill took with me made for a better overall experience and a camera I am extremely happy with!

Great positive atmosphere and staff greetings the minute I walk into the store. I shoot medium format film in a legacy camera. All the staff, and Martin, have been very helpful with high quality film processing, fresh, refrigerated film stock, and helping me find accessories for my Hasselblad. Best Camera house I have been to. Dropped some film off to get processed, the staff were very polite and helpful. Have never received service this good in my home town in Australia. Would recommend! Prices are great too.

I am only experienced with the auto setting of a camera, point and shoot. I had a problem where it had stopped working. I walked in, there were plenty of staff, excellent customer service, he said I will be right back, and came back in 3 minutes with my camera fixed. He cleaned the lens and gave me some tips. They have classes I will be back to take. I observed other staff taking interest in the customers needs. This place is excellent!!!

The best service I have ever received from a camera house in the world. Staff were super friendly and helpful and offer competitively priced film stock. Every camera other camera house I walk into feels pretentious but these guys were absolute legends. Wish this place was in my home town of melbourne so I would feel so welcome getting photos developed.

After my re-introduction to film I have started going into Bedford for processing, film, chemicals and more. Their film processing guy can work miracles and always prompt with professional results. The guys and gals behind the counter are always very helpful and knowledgeable, I can get pretty technical and on the off chance I catch someone off guard with a question they will go above and beyond the call to get an answer for me!! Top notch service and I have learned more about film in the last couple of months than a couple of semesters in college. They have plenty of great products on the floor and it is not hard to start a conversation with any of the employees. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough positive things about this store. Living 4.5 hours away makes it hard to get to the store but I can tell you that all I need to do is pick up the phone and call and they know who I am and listen to what I need and will send me anything I need that day or the next. When I am on my way from Texas to St. Louis I always stop in either going or heading home. Everyone knows my face and welcomes me with a smile. I came here to buy a new camera, because they had a good bundle package being offered and for someone just getting into photography, this was great. It was supposed to come with a free class at the shop, never got it, but it was free and Ive got the internet. But when I went back 2 days later to pick up the bag that had to be ordered, another employee rudely yelled for the guy that was working with me and pulled him away. I guess she made the decision that I didnt want to spend any more money there. Luckily there are other camera shops around.

Far and away the best resource for photographers in OKC. Ive never had a bad experience with any of the staff, even when I was just getting started with photography and had no clue what I was looking for. Martin deserves special mention; he remembered me after my first visit and always makes a point to say hi when Im there!

I took an 8 x 10 photo that I needed. The clerk told me he would call when it was ready. One week later I check back and it was still not ready. I was told it would be ready in an hour, so I dropped back by in an hour and it was ready. I thought this was poor service on their part. I was told the clerk didnt do his job.

They are one of the few places nearby you can buy bw film other than HP5. The people are friendly enough. They are one of the few real camera stores left in the area. Their processing needs some attention to detail though. I got my film back the time before last with water spots and all kinds of fibers on the negative. This last time they lost my prints. I want to support them but they need to pay attention to detail and care about results.

The Bedford employees were very knowledgable and helpful with any questions I had about both my vintage cameras and modern ones. They gave me quotes on the cameras and were even polite enough to let me speak to one of their customers, without an issue, about a camera and lens I had. I ended up selling that camera and lens to that couple and got alot more information on the camera equipment that I will be saving up to get in the future.If you need help just understanding a cameras functions or how to work a specific lens, they are very knowledgable and willing to help. The prices are a little expensive, but, that is going to be the case for much of the photography business.

Annually the PHotoCon convention offers great keynote speakers. However, when purchasing items at the convention, that they dont have in stock is a real inconvenience. Its been two weeks and my items are still not in. When I call i get told there is no way of knowing when my items will be here. I try to support local...but they make it a very unfriendly experience.

With these prices its no wonder online is place to shop.

Competitive pricing, knowledgeable staff.I was recently in the market for a camera upgrade and after seeing an add for a Sony trade-in event at Bedford, I thought I’d check them out. I’ve always made big camera purchases from B&H in the past, but Bedford seemed to have a better deal with the event.Their retail prices are set by the manufacturer, so they were neither high nor low from most competitors, prior to discounts. That means they matched the prices from Sony, B&H, Amazon, etc.I visited Bedford on a cold, icy day and found the store open and inviting with several people on staff, ready to help. I spoke with Bill about the trade-in event and I was nearly shocked to find out that I would be given a $200 bonus discount, just for trading in an old DSLR. I came back immediately with two cameras, lenses and accessories to trade in. While I could have made more money by selling the products on my own, the $200 bonus offer made up for the difference. The whole time, Bill was very honest and courteous about the value they could give me for my equipment. I ended up keeping one of the lenses, since it was still in very good condition and it was worth more to me than he could offer.The camera I wanted was the Sony a7iii, but with a 28-70mm lens kit. It was not in stock at Oklahoma City, but Bill immediately got on the phone with other Bedford locations. A few minutes later, a kit was located at Springfield, MO and it arrived in Oklahoma City about 48 hours later. That was a fast turnaround.Bill was very knowledgeable and gave me plenty of information, including accessories that I might need and service plans of interest. I passed on all of it, but he did reassure me that buying an LAEA4 (adapter that they did not sell) would allow me to use all of my existing A-mount lenses with the new camera. In the process, he was understanding and didn’t try to sell me any new lenses or other items that I didn’t want.Overall, I was satisfied by my experiences at Bedford Camera & Video. They have a huge selection of cameras, photography accessories and other related equipment. Their staff members are helpful and the deal with the trade-in event was better than I could find anywhere, online or in person. Keep in mind that prices are set by the manufacturer here, so they’ll be on par with what you’ll find at most big box stores and online retailers. I came in for a camera kit that they didn’t have, but it was transferred there and ready for me to pick up in just two days!

Website not accurate at all. I checked to see if they had a product, website said they did got to the store. They dont have the one I wanted but they carried the one that was 60 dollars more. Not great business. But they have a wonderful selection of cameras and other photography products. Just call ahead.

Supper friendly. Bought at full retail, something I dont normally do, but it was a lens that was not going to be on sale anytime soon. Overall I could see myself coming in often.

Glad to have a a friend who works in the camera business. Not sure were really to post this but if you have astronomical camera related questions I totally recommend Bedford cameras for it. He is very knowledgeable in things that are little less conventional than ordinary cameras and he knows how to do things for solar eclipses and astrophotography if you ask not to mention he sells great products as do all the other clerks in the store totally welcome coming in the building manager seems to be a very nice guy five stars

They have a huge selection of everything but their prices are astronomical. Their used gear seems fair though. They offer classes which is cool too. I did have a bit of a sour encounter with one of their employees. He made a bit of a condescending remark towards me after I had asked if they had an item with a specific feature. The rest of the folks seemed very nice. I also get negatives developed there and they do a pretty good job. The prices to develop are fair prices so no complaints there. Mind the fact that Im only getting negatives developed. It sucks their black and white machine is broken but thats the way the cookie crumbles when it comes to film processing. If you need B&W film developed youd be best doing it your self or sending it off your self. It takes a while to get your negatives back since they have to send it off too. They are well staffed and very knowledgeable and helpful about the stuff they sell. Overall I would still go there but you guys need to have a meeting about courtesy towards customers. If any of you reviewers are complaining about something simple then please educate your self on the basics of photography. If your questions are answered with questions its because the staff is trying to figure out what your needs are specifically so they can help you find the right product to purchase. You dont want to waste money on something that you are just going to have to return because you didnt provide the right info do you? Then you will just complain and say it is their fault. Which it isnt. @sadie did you maybe consider that you might not actually know what you are talking about? Not trying to be mean but again self education will save you loads of time and frustration.

I took a basic camera class with Martin McGrew as my instructor. It was fun and open and interactive. I learned what the buttons and codes were on my camera and how to apply them. I also learned how to care for my camera. It was a 2 hour class and it has motivated me to start studying the manual and practice using the camera. Martin is a good teacher who made it easy to understand the function of F stops! He walked around to each person and helped us understand our cameras. It was a class I would recommend.

They just dont get it.Extremely non-personable staff. I have only been here 4xs. And the first time was like the last time. Try to support local, but they make it difficult. Certain gear is way overpriced. Its like walking into the twilight zone.
