Got my fishing reel re-lined and employee attending to me was great! Found everything I needed quickly and was able to purchase everything I needed quickly. Normally I like to take my time but needed to get th things done in a timely manner.

This Southside store is alright. They have lots of good deals but I prefer to visit the Academy store in Norman, customer service is just better in Norman.

I was driving along the road when a policeman drove up beside me and shouted “pull over”! I replied “actually, it’s my new Columbia jacket from Academy but thank you for noticing”. 😂😂😂Every vacation of ours is now a hiking adventure. So were always on the hunt for new gear before each hike (if, for nothing else, so were not always wearing the same stuff in pictures)Academy has always had what weve been in search of, at reasonable prices.Customer service has always been peasant to us.

Great for about anything outdoor or sport related that you need right away. But to many store employees standing around while theres a line waiting to check out at the only open register. Starting to feel like Walmart.

Purchased some bikes for my children and they love them! Bikes pre-built and ready to ride. Their staff was helpful and friendly.

I wouldn’t recommend spending your hard earn black dollars at this place they’ll follow you around and make you feel uncomfortable shopping

The worst customer service ever. I called ahead was assured by the apparel associate they had the exact item I was looking for. I gave the description right off their website. I got there and they didn’t actually have it. No one seemed to care my time and gas was wasted. A lot of excuses and no sincere care of my loss. I will not be coming back there since are other sporting goods stores in town. If I could give zero stars I would this isn’t my first time being disappointed. Last time giving chances though.

I like the place has a lot of variety choose from big parking staff are very friendly and very helpful indeed very knowledgeable good place to take all your kids if theyre participating in sports 😄

Went into the store looking for a piece of excercise equipment and the clerk called for the manager to come to the front to assist. Waited about 5 minutes and the clerk had to call for him again. The manager preceded to give this clerk a hard time, but would not come to the front. He ended up telling the cleark to tell me that the item would have to be ordered on line and shipped to the store and it would cost more, but he didnt know how much, but it could be alot. So obviously I left to go to a store that WOULD help me. Isnt it a sad day when a manager refuses to do his job and manage the store and the employees he is being paid to manage?

They always have shoes with uncommon colors. This is good for hooking up your wardrobe.

Got the work shoes I needed at a fair price

Its another one of those stores that think everybody is stealing their merchandise so they follow you around like creeps to the point you leave without buying anything. Im serious they have serious issues and if you like the nike brand be willing to pay ridiculously high prices because they sure are proud of it but overall not my place to be at all

Always go to Academys First. They always have a sale going on in the shoe department. I got 2 pair of canvas low tops and my husband got a pair of Nikes for $50. Cant beat that.

Only 5 choices for womens New Balance shoes. The boxes they came in were falling apart. Cashier very friendly.

Place is going down hill really quick the past 3 literally every time I go now no matter the time day or night someone is always running out the door stealing something would (strongly encourage) going to the norman location or Edmond..

As I made my purchase walking out the front door of the place,my eyes and sinuses started to burn. To my dismay a homeless woman had made a bed one foot from the exit. Im sure she wasnt vaccinated and wore no mask. ...not good for business.

The employees dont have time to help the customer i was mad i seen two people putting up shoes and I asked for help they just points to where they are supposed to be instead of walking with me to help make sure i found what i was looking for i wont be back

Its a large Walmart sporting good section no one knows what the store has and its a job to find some help.

It was not to crowded. They sanitized their baskets and have nice well informed service people.I was not able to get what I went there for. That was disappointing but, It was not their fault for the shortage of sporting goods I was hoping to buy. It seems to be that everyone is buying all the supplies up as soon as they are put on the shelves.

I truly believe that academys across the metro will never supply the ammo and firearms like they used to, in the future. Ammo shelves still empty, and they only had 8 long rifles for sale.

Pool cues suck, but the discs for disc golf are decent and decently priced

They had a bunch of stuff marked down, I brought a bunch of the items up front and then they tried to tell me that the prices were actually wrong and that they should have been taken down days before. Then tried to change the price at the register. Terrible customer service. Do better, and get your inventory right.

Waited for about 30 minutes in the shoe department for assistance. There was no one there so I went to the front to ask if there was someone available. The person at the door said yes and they paged someone over the intercom. I went back to the shoe department and waited for another 15 minutes and no one ever showed up. I left and ended up going to an academy that is closer to my house. The whole reason I went to that store was to get a pair of shoes that the online store said they had. I found them on display on an end cap but was unable to locate where the actual boxes were located (hence the reason why I needed assistance). The one near my house ended up having them even though the website said otherwise and I was able to get assistance and check out in under 15 minutes. Will not be going back to this store.

Went just before Christmas, store was very crowded and not everyone wearing mask. Store was very messy and picked over. Staff was very busy, but still helpful, lines to check out crazy busy and slow. Looking for Dallas Cowboy items, but none to be found. Most of the time, Academy has what I am looking for at a good price, just not a week before Christmas.

Fast efficient answers, and very attentive to the consumers needs..

A lot of people without masks on, not being turned away. Do not feel safe shopping here, especially because they still did black Friday sales. Will not be shopping here again.

The employees are really nice and helpful. For real, find someone and ask for help. It will save you so much time. Also their end of season clearances are awesome.

Academy is always an awesome store to visit if you are into sports and outdoors stuff! I am a huge fan of their hunting and fishing sections. Although, they are almost always out of a lot of the things customers wish to buy. This store in particular is organized very nicely.

Im not sure which store you are asking, OK city I-240 is really good store. Ardmore Oklahoma is a blessing to have in Ardmore so close to home. I perched a firearm. It took a long time to get out of store. The boy made mistakes in what he does normally, he tried something different. It was put in my name immediately and taken out of store inventory so it couldnt be rang up at registere. I stood waiting on a customer who left the store and came back - they made me wait and put him in front of me??? He left I was there when he left so why put him in front??? Then waited at front until they figured out what the boy did to mess up the sale. 2 hours!!!! I buy guns often enough to know it only takes about 15 20 minutes to sale me a gun. My background check is approved immediately when called in. Sorry but this slow gun sale bit has happened twice now. Not so long first time but long enough.

Horrible costumer service and the man at the gun section never gave me back my ID. Do not go to this academy go somewhere else.
