Despite the small retail space, the vibe is very homely. The baristas are very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. They offer coffee as well as tea. I have had their pour over twice, and I love the presentation and stoneware. Totally recommend!
Absolutely delicious. Had a latte and a thyme turner and both were lovely. Best coffee weve had in the area.
I got the light roast Ethiopian coffee and it was pretty good. But the line was a little long and the barista seems a little slower with no one to help him.
The latte was great. Im not sure what kind of espresso beans or oat milk they used but it wasnt your typical latte. The floral notes and honey made it one of the top 5 cups of coffee Ive ever had! The 8th Street Market has a great vibe. This place will definately get lots of business once its completely leased up.
One of my favorite shops/roasters in the city! Not to mention the customer service is always 10/10. All of the baristas are very kind and care about the quality of the coffee they are serving. This is a great place to visit if you want consistently good coffee & a chill atmosphere to do work in.I would’ve put 10 stars if I could but google only lets me have 5 :,( so we here we are.
Tucked on the second level of 8th Street Market, this small roaster offers an airy and laid-back atmosphere for her guests while brewing up some single origin beans from various continents. They also have other beverages like tea, horchata and hot chocolate for non-coffee drinkers. The owner/barista is always ready to explain their process of roasting and brewing methods, including the intriguing Kyoto cold brew apparatus sitting in a corner of the service area. There are four tables that sits up to four people comfortably though the tables are a little too high, making it uncomfortable to work on a laptop. The bar height service area is a better spot if you plan to hang out closer to the action of the barista and chat with them. There is, however only one 2-point power outlet at the end of the bar, so come with a fully charged laptop if you plan to work some. All in all, glad to have another roaster in town, bringing good and affordable coffee to the community while doing her part in educating more people about the caffeinated drink.
Great Latte with oat milk!!
I have been drinking coffee from these guys for years and they have always been my favorite; now that they have a shop Im in here almost daily! They have the best coffee in the city and everything is so beautifully hand crafted and curated in conjunction with local artists all over the city, from the hand crafted caramels with every espresso all the way to the locally built bar and tables. They roast their own coffee and hand pick their sources from people who are intentionally building healthy relationships with farmers across the globe. This is a must try for anyone who enjoys artisan coffee.
That’s some dank coffee they have there.
Always impressed by Prelude’s consistent coffee offerings. They are amazing roasters and have created such a great space to gather or work over coffee. They have something for everybody, whether you’re a purist, tea lover, or a cream + sugar kind of person. Everybody is welcome and that is very much felt in their space.
Wasnt sure what to expect when I heard Prelude was opening a cafe and must say I have been extremely impressed. The coffee is always consistent, people are very nice, and atmosphere is spot on. Highly recommend.
Quaint little coffee shop within the 8th Street Market building. Not super noticeable from traffic. Very friendly service and very good, roasted in-house coffee. Definitely recommend giving them a try. The first hour they are open they also offer $1 drip coffee. Hard to beat that!
I will probably become a regular. It has a nice feel to it.
Awesome place to hang out and enjoy some great coffee. Pryce and Sam know their stuff and are incredibly approachable. Their coffee is delicious, well-roasted, and always friendly people.
Great people running this cafe and roastery. Clean space! Quick pull off from the highway, and I love stools with backs. They are in the same building as a nice yoga studio, respected brewery, and delicious Vietnamese fusion restaurant. Cant forget the $1 espresso from 5-6pm and the $1 drip coffee the first hour of the day. A must try.
Best coffee Ive had in OKC. Also, very nice atmosphere to meet family, friends, or clients. Congenial staff. Comfortable. Highly recommend.
Knowledgeable and kind coffee connoisseurs. Best coffee you can get in Oklahoma!
I’ve pretty well stopped going to other coffee shops in OKC I feel like this one is the best. They have amazing cappuccinos which are my favorite. Love the space too, very “cute.” Baristas are so nice and fun to talk with. If you haven’t tried them, I merely ask: why not?
My favorite part about Prelude has always been how consistent they are and their knowledge of coffee. Their friendly owners/baristas make an easy environment to accomplish work, or simply just hangout. This is the best shop in OKC in my opinion
Coffee so good it made me regret that I was only paying through town. Seriously I finished it like 30 miles down the road and wanted to turn back for another one.
Have you ever been to heaven? Well if you’re a sinner like me, and want to be saved, visit the best coffee roaster in Oklahoma at Prelude... It’s a true taste of heaven in a cup. If this establishment does not meet, nay EXCEED your wildest expectations, you can hold me, Ryan Mahon, personally and financially responsible.
Way cheaper and way better than any other speciality coffee. How often do you get world class lattes for 3.75????The building is epic, and the wifi is SUPER FAST.This is my new favorite shop.
8th Street Market really needed this! Wonderful place to get coffee and the baristas are always so helpful and friendly. Very fair priced coffee, love coming in here for their $2 batch brews. Also have great pastries!
Some of the best coffee in Oklahoma City. Every detail is considered and accounted for, from the roast to your drink. The service is 10/10 and the offerings are super unique and there’s something for everyone. To top it off the aesthetic is clean and warm. The sounds from the market place make it feel more welcoming than your typical study-vibes coffee shop but with headphones you could totally still come and enjoy a book or study in peace. One hundred recommend. (Get a kyoto coldbrew)
What a really nice place with a pleasant atmosphere to relax with truly fresh roasted coffee.
By FAR the greatest coffee ever roasted or served. Certainly the best in Oklahoma.
Very good cup. Creamy. Nice flavor profile. Cool little spot.
Great coffee, people and atmosphere! Check it out!
Get the hand brew of their current roast, which is meticulously made and it shows
Some of the best coffee in OKC, and the only coffee beans I buy to make at home and at work!
