Decent neighborhood corner store. Reminds me of the type that used to be around before all of these corporate chain gas stations hit and took over completely shutting down all the mom and pop shops that just couldnt compete with prices because of the inability to order in bulk and buy cheaper therefore charging less. Staff is cool most of the time although most of the time the management squad is running the front area and sometimes can be somewhat short if thats the right word Im looking for or maybe uninterested but in the end dont necessarily make you feel all that welcome. Ive never personally had any issues but have seen others have opposite interactions with them. Not a huge selection of stuff but they do serve fried chicken and other lunch/dinner items on a small buffet line to take home in a to go container but only rate it a 4 out of 10 and usually not too great as far as taste and quality.

Very rude and not helpful or courteous. I visited Jim Dandy’s beauty supply store for the first time today due to I heard the advertisement on our local radio store that it was a great beauty supply store. And I visited it because it was also black owned business and I wanted to support a black business. Upon entering the store the lady behind the counter was rude appeared to have an attitude with me right away. I went into the store for the purpose to purchase some hair for my stepdaughter as her Christmas present. I told the lady what type of hair and hair style I was looking for and she told me to go look around the store and then was assisting other people that came in after me. I decided to leave and take me money and spend it at a business that treated with respect as a customer. So I had to go around the corner to JC beauty supply where I was assisted right away and walked over to the item I wanted to purchase. Me and my stepdaughter had a conversation between a good business and bad one and she clearly saw the difference.

Black ppl need to stop supporting stores like this that ignore us and follow us! Never again!

Not really friendly people working there. Always seem like they have an attitute yet want people to spend their money there. As I’m checking out and finishing paying for the items I purchase there was no ‘thanks’ ‘ have a good day’ no interaction at all. They didn’t even hand me my bags on the counter afterwards, just walked away. I’d recommend going else where.

Great place if u need check cashed I can always count on Jim Dandys if I need a check cashed....
