I needed a part time job this fall, and was looking for something to stay active and get out of the house since I have been couped up from COVID/taking classes online. I love this job because my bosses/supervisors are very personable and really connect with their customers. Their customers are older adults and seniors who need the most help with their normal homely tasks. Each day I learned something new and really felt valued as an employee and person. I loved helping the older demographic and really appreciated the flexibility of HFAF with my school schedule. Not many places do that. It is really cool to see how big of an impact this company makes on the older population!

Help from a friend has some quality people working there! The people in charge are very much qualified in what they do and they do care about the employees/staff of the company. I’ve seen first hand at the great work they do. Definitely recommend them!

I worked for a short period of time and in 1 month this is what I experienced.I witnessed employees spraying chemicals with out proper PPE on multiple occasions.I witnessed Unsafe Operations and practices with stand behind mowers.I witnessed deceptive behavior from management.I witnessed what to me seemed like bad business practices.Company does not know how to do proper lawn renovation care or common plant and tree identification. I witnessed ornamental trees also being cut down and damaged, leading the trees/ shrubs to not grow back properly or die.Overall I would not Recommend this company.

Help From A Friend was one of the best places I worked for coming out of college. The team there was incredible, fun and positive. They not only taught me a lot of horticulture, but different aspects of business and connecting with people. I learned more there in the few years I worked there, then I did an any previous jobs combined. I really enjoyed the aspect of helping the older population as they need the most help with the simplest of things like yard work. The smiles and relationships we built with the customers was really cool. I met so many nice people with so many cool stories to share. Not what I was expecting when worked for a Lawn company. It is different there. The accountability, trust, policy/procedures, team building, relationships are all high priorities there, which is what i think make a great place. I really enjoyed the fight nights/HFAF parties at the owners house. Very relaxing and chill. If you are ever looking for a place to grow with or just to work with for a few years, i would recommend HFAF. Not to mention i was in pretty good shape working outside all the time :)

Great landscaping company, great value, they provide less expensive mowing and landscaping for the elderly. Good people.

This place is super super shady, they do everything to save a dollar. If you want a poorly done job by shady people that done care about anything besides money go ahead and let them do your yard work.

Help From a Friend is a great resource for many chores around the house. They have helped me several times with fall and spring lawn clean up as well as painting the inside of my garage. While I have not personally used them for plumbing and minor inside repairs my friends have and are most pleased with the results. Help From a Friend is very reasonable and very hard working. I highly recommend Help From a Friend.

I was a college student at the time when I worked for HFAF and they were super flexible with my crazy college schedule. Will probably work for them again next summer!
