Horibbly slow, they dont know what they are doing. 4 people that ordered after me, already got their drinks. Ive been waiting for 15 min, not joking.

They make a solid cup of coffee. The staff are friendly. Bummer because its in such a crowded area.

Horrible location. The hours of operation are totally wrong. What’s on door doesn’t match when they are open. Came all the way here for nothing.

7:22 on a Saturday night and they are closed. Hours all say 8pm. Line of angry customers outside.

Seems that they are still trying to figure things out due to covid-19. Traffic and markings in and out of the store are confusing, but otherwise all clean and as expected.

They forgot our order and didn’t make our drinks. We asked for a refund and they provided it. To management: It is Memorial Day. As such your staffing should reflect that. There was far too little staff on duty for the amount of people being served.

Nice Starbucks, staff is cordial, service is relatively quick, plenty of seating, but parking lot traffic can be difficult depending on time of day and drive thru line.

Never been a fan of Starbucks, bitter over priced and pretentious. My peppermint mocha was only okay. Itll be a long while till I return.

Slow service at 1:15pm on a Saturday and a really creepy guy was laying down on the bench next to us heckling every girl that walked by. The staff did what they could (thank you), but they seemed overwhelmed. I cant imagine what its like when its super busy.

Fast service and they did not care that I ordered a medium and not whatever Starbucks call it.

Hello Old Saybrook! I stopped in to grab a tea from here. I dont live in this town. I was about an hour away from home. I felt so welcome here. They showed me the new tea they have and when I told them I never tried it, they made me a whole tea so I could see if I liked it. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Great job. Thanks so much. Sorry, but this Starbucks is awful and I would honestly give it no stars if it werent for a few employees still working there. I went here a few weeks ago with my 8 year old and did not feel it was an appropriate environment for her. The employees were having many side conversations between one another (which is fine!) however, there was a lot of noticeable profanity being used. We came in the morning and received awful service from a few employees. First off, the person making my drink was very rude and didnt even look up at me when I said thank you! Besides the profanity and rude employees, (the person at the register was very nice) there was also noticeable talking coming from the backroom! Totally unprofessional. I have been in this Starbucks many times before and I have to say, it has gone COMPLETELY downhill since Michael (previous manager) left. Very poor management. All the employees either look like they hate their job, or they just fool around all day. I really wish Mike was still the manager here... he was always so cool and nice. If I had an issue he would immediately try to fix the situation. Now, I am not looking for compensation here but I just think Starbucks should get better management. I have also seen fewer and fewer familiar faces. The new staff seems to be a problem. The people that used to work here a year or two ago were the BEST and I mean the BEST (I have been to a lot of Starbucks in my lifetime). I hope my review helps in bringing awareness to this issue. Great people

I visited this Starbucks this morning around 9:30 am. I went to the cooler looking for a sparkling water. It looked like the case had been picked over. There wasnt much to pick from, and no sparkling water. I proceeded to order: trenta pink drink and a sparkling water. I went down to the pick up area. I witnessed 2 of the other staff members behind the line giving the boy at the register a hard time about the sparkling water on the ticket. I started watching my pink drink being made. The girl finished my drink and set it aside. She proceeded to start another drink instead of putting mine up to pick up. When she finally put my drink up I asked her for the sparkling water. She told me to check the case. I informed her there werent any in the case. She then yelled to the boy at the register way to go newbie meanwhile she went back to making drinks. Now the second time asking for a sparkling water and telling her there werent any in the case she went into the back of the store, to what I thought was getting a water, nope. She started making more drinks, now started repeating Not my job. not my job. not my job. I couldnt believe what I was seeing or hearing. I understand that everyone has their position in the line..... this was ABSURD. 2 more boys came out of the back and I followed them down to the cooler. The one looked like he was taking stock of the case, but then did nothing. So at this point Im just done and running late due to the events unfolding. I now ask for the 3rd time and 3rd person for a sparkling water. He handed me the one on display at the register, warm. I have no idea what was going on there today. I left.... I couldnt handle asking for a cold one and having to wait and see the deer-caught-in-headlights look. This was a seemingly very simple request.

The lgbt loving lady doesnt know how to place a lid on the coffee. Yes I should have double checked the lid by looking at her appearance but figured she knew how. Well she didnt and 1.5 seconds later Im posed with a huge coffee stain on my Hoodie and shirt.I dont think I will be visiting this location again.

This Starbucks is awesome, it has a really friendly staff of great people. They remember your name and drink and always talk to you. The store is always clean and if you use mobile order your in and with no waiting in line.

Morning staff never fails to get my order right and out quickly. Evening and weekend staff however have been nothing but a nightmare. I always end up waiting 20 minutes for my order no matter how busy, even if I order ahead. Doesn’t seem like the staff follows the time stamps on the orders. You constantly watch new customers come in, order and leave the store before you get your order. I’ve also had my order given to me incorrectly on multiple occasions, causing me to need to go back and ask them to remake it. I wouldn’t recommend stopping in at any other time other than the morning.

Excellent staff and management. Great place to sit and talk for hours. No drive up window but still the best place in town for coffee.

Professional + friendly counter-greeting, coupled with supremely expedited food service best describes the first half of my Starbucks visit. (Barista prepared 4 hot sandwiches, a scone, lemon bread + muffin in about 3 mins, it seemed.)But unfortunately his support colleagues left much room for improvement on the second half of visit, as my daughter & I waited approx 10 mins for a spritzer, a latte + 2 frappaccinos — prepared exclusively by a food-barista, who was chatting away with a third barista, who was possibly on-break¿, but still on-floor, as she was only chatting + not assisting the long line of customers now gathered. Ironically, their chat was about how the (working) drink-barista couldnt believe his eyes were actually open, while the non-working drink-barista bragged about doing as little work as possible on this particular Saturday afternoon.Entertaining, to say the least! ;)

The service here used to be pretty slow and grumpy, especially in the mornings, but Im in Old Saybrook for work a few times a year, and this most recent trip was great! The employee even remembered my ordered 2 days in a row. Would definitely recommend placing a mobile order if youre headed here in the morning and have somewhere to be, though.

This Starbucks is small & nice. The place is kind of hidden on Main St. In Old Saybrook. It is the very firstStore on Main St. There is parking in front & on the side. They also have outdoor seating as well.

Tried to find a place to sit and read with a cup of tea...was driven out by the rap music with vulgar language. Really? Not very relaxing or welcoming.

Saybrook Starbucks is the best. Always great service.

My pit stop between Boston and New York. This Starbucks is clean and friendly, centrally located next to Route 1 and the Chamber of Commerce in Old Saybrook. Its open until 8:30pm every night except Sundays. I think Ive been making it my halfway stop between New York and Boston for 18 years now. A fine Connecticut Starbucks. It even has outdoor seating and easy access to both Route 1 and Main Street form the parking lot.

Good service, nice employees, only problem is the space but otherwise it is great!

Went in to grab coffee on the way home during a long car ride. They had no baked goods ready at 11:15 am. And after waiting forever for drinks they made my almond milk latte with regular milk — unfortunately I found out on the highway and wasn’t going back.
