Almost back to normal but a lot of the customers are still wearing masks. Plenty of parking close to the door. Have everything. I walked in the entrance and there were no grocery carts available and it wasnt the least bit busy in there.Maybe they keep the carts somewhere else. Havent been there since the beginning of the national nightmare about a year and a half ago and some of the items were in different places. I really only needed 1 item so I didnt bother looking around for a cart. If I had found a cart I would have bought more than one item.

Was in the bathroom here yesterday. Watched an employee, a rather tall gentleman with a mustache (I think he was a cart-man because I saw the burlap bag he was wearing on a sash and reflective vest) use the urinal then head straight out without washing his hands. I left the bathroom a minute later, since I was washing my hands as he went back out into the store. I watched him walking alongside the open freezer opposite the wall by the deli, and *running his hand along the freezer as he walked*. It isnt hard to wash your hands, dude. When youre working in a grocery store of all places this is super unnacceptable.

Easy delivery just had to wait for remodel teen should’ve been told this by logistics but brokers just don’t care

I generally use the self checkout gun and try to get out as quickly as possible. Not the worst Stop & Shop, but between the staff and the customers alike the overall experience can be draining. The selection is pretty good however some weeks there seems to be quite a bit missing from the shelves (probably a supply chain issue due to COVID). Produce has been looking rough lately as well. The robot that roams the aisles needs to be thrown off a cliff.

I’ve had enough of this location. I’ve had multiple instances of rancid/sour red meat, rotten produce, and stale packaged foods. Stock is frequently low for common items and you appear invisible to staff. Being nudged out of the way by a meat cart to restock your poorly packaged food is a great way to lose a customer. I have been coming here for years and put up with it for too long. I don’t understand how this happens and at the frequency that it does, but it’s not worth another visit.

I like Stop & Shop but I was really unhappy with the lack of customer service I received yesterday. I have the Stop&Shop app and there was an advertised special for cheese which is what brought me into the store. Of course the shelf was empty so I waited in the customer service line for 10 minutes to get a rain check only to be told that the item was a while supplies last and therefore I could not have a raincheck. I saw nothing in the app indicating that and showed the clerk who said oh it only shows that in the newspaper flyer I said well I dont get the newspaper and that is why I use the app and the app should indicate that it is a limited deal. Dont create an app and encourage customers to use it if it is not going to accurately reflect the deals and exclusions.

Colchester Store is back to normal after the renovations and upgrades. Some slight shifts in product categories by aisle, but easy to navigate. Very pleased with the selective additions of specialty items. The department mangers are always available to assist and are open to listen, taking suggestions under consideration. Also, nice to see a number of the long time associates employed as well as some newer members to the staff.

Great, Sea Food Dept and the staff is helpful. The Fresh Bread is fresh

Produce has really gone downhill and Ive had meat that goes off days before the expiration. Go to Big Y instead a bit more expensive but its worth it rather than getting wilted broccoli.

Seafood counter is always unmanned and no one around.

Its ridiculous that every time you checkout your asked to donate your change. Then you have to purchase bags to take your groceries home.

Chicken has been stocked better but now I cant get my medium taco sauce...

Gail in customer service is an asset to the company. Whenever having to interact with her in any situation, returns, purchase, lottery, she is friendly, fast, and patient. Mikey and the others who run self-scan are wonderful. Annie and all the other cashiers are very professional and friendly. The baggers are always helpful and engaging. The lot staff are some of the hardest working guys Ive ever seen. The large bottle room makes it convenient for deposit return. All departments are helpful, deli, grocery, bakery, produce.

Again another day. Elderly people move so for a reason. OLD. An customers not happy being behind them. I can under stand one main entrance and exit in same location. But to have entrance at one end and exit at other make no sense. Park your car at entrance an have to walk to car from exit. Just an Accident waiting to happen. It would probably be an elderly person. Walmart has the entrance and exit at the same end of the store. The store had entrance and exit at 1 end of your store which worked fine now all of a sudden we have an entrance at the far corner and exit at the other corner where do you park inside the building. Someone definitely needs to rethink this maybe you should get in a wheel chair park your car at the entrance go inside grab a carriage exit with carriage in a wheel chair and go find your car. I dont care how you C explain it its cruel at least if you know your entrance and exit at 1 end to the store you can park accordingly specially the handicap

Decent selection of organic and gluten free. Customer service lacks. Very slow to help you when you need it.

Not a bad shopping center. Prices are ok and good quality.

The pickup option is so great and the people who run it are kind and helpful. Saves so much time and I am grateful

Never a horrible experience at S&S but today the manager of the Old Saybrook store cane over the PA and thanked the employees for Putting up with their lovely customers Im sorry but I find that rude to say number one. Number two you dont put up with someone or something if its YOUR JOB. Number three if it werent for the customer coming into your store in particular you wouldnt be making the money you do (and I mean in general I know theyre Union) just a word of advice to the manager you should choose your words wisely that couldve been enough to push some customers away to shop somewhere else. Not wise at all.

This store has a good selection and the produce is good, but the customer service here is a joke. I can understand everyone has a bad day now and then, but the cashiers here are always having a bad day. It’s like they’re doing you a favor to ring you out. Yesterday we were critiqued by the cashier for buying “fake cheese”. What’s that all about? Their prices aren’t that competitive and the service can be better.

I love my Stop and Shop. Been a customer since 1980sAddendum:Lately, I have had such a bad experience from the seafood department because of one woman who seem to be in a mission to have every visit I have to be as intolerable as she can make it. Multiple conversations with store/ seafood manager has not resolved this unpleasant woman attitude. Today, all I want is a piece of salmon! I cant even!!! After seeing her behind the counter and seeing her attitude towards the customer ahead of me.OMG get her out of there already!!

The people of stop & shop are wonderful, VERY polite and helpful. However, the management seems to have forgotten how to make shopping better for the customers. The self check system is horrible, and they never have enough lines open. It was not like that in the past.

Well Im no longer hungry... Today I walked in to get a donut for breakfast and I overhear two employees in bakery talking. One of them is sick and throwing up but isnt allowed to go home. What is that? From my understanding it is illegal to work while sick if you are handling food. I feel bad for the lady you can tell she didnt feel well. If this is a policy you guys have you need to change it. You barely pay your employees as it is and then you force them to come in sick. That is very disturbing. I feel bad for that lady no person should be treated like that even if she is outta sick time... especially if you are handling FOOD. Not sure if I will be back after hearing this, once again this is not how you treat an employee.

Its great when an out what I needed get taken care of everybody was happy place was clean well stocked Ive never had a problem with any Stop & Shop I better I normally frequent the Clinton and Saybrook and Middletown when Im at doctors appointments as I said everything is always great never had a problem

Nice little store, helpful staff, clean store well stocked, nice parking lot, clean! Restroom was clean and well stocked! Found plenty of good snacks, they had all kinds of sodas, juices and water. Coffee and hot chocolate! Nice shopping!

Long lines, in CT have to pay to purchase bags after doing self Check out and prices r outrageous.

I shop here weekly and the prices range from good to average, the quality of food is the same. Customer service is above average at this location which is why I like shopping here. The self scanning and bagging while shopping is a great innovation for grocery stores and I use it every time i shop, irregardless of the amount I am spending. It works well and I have never had any problems using this process.

It smells really badly near the deli. Bathroom had the same smell.

The two staff members I spoke with were extremely nice, super polite, and very helpful. The one gentleman stopped what he was doing to ask if I needed help and quickly showed me where the items I needed were. The woman working at the podeium near self checkout was nice enough to offer to help pick up some items I had dropped even though it wasnt necessary for her to do so. She helped me fix an issue with the register (I made) upon checking out and was really nice about it. Being a person with pretty bad anxiety and normally have my service dog with me (which this time she was not) this was one of the best shopping experiences Ive had in a while.

Stopped by to pick up beach groceries... Good prices, great selection and a nice clean store.

Sense they went on strike the service is horrible. No matter what time I go there is only one or two maximum two lanes open, the cashiers for the most part are so rude. I use to love Stop & Shop, not anymore.

Best workers,very clean. Everyone that works there is super wonderful, very nice, experience, and help ! The food is always fresh easy to find and theres always wonderful sales going on. I would definitely give my experience five stars!

I found exactly what I was looking for...fresh produce was very expensive but nicely packaged. Also nice soup selections without soy.

There is massive freezer burning on multiple items in the frozen food section, the door in one section is held in place by tape.

This store is poorly laid out. Ice cream toppings for examples, are literally, 10 aisles over. Also Because this store is on the shoreline, its prices are higher than say to the Middletown store, because of tourists I guess. Main reason I dont usually shop here. Big Y is cheaper.

Clean, you can find many things, Western Union in site, good customer service experience.

I am at the grocery store twice a day about 6 days a week. Saybrook stop and shop is the most reliable around.

My 2nd go to grocery store as its a Super Stop n Shop. Buy again,most of the prices are $$$ due to who they tailor to and the choices you have in the area are usually pretty limited to 1 grocery store in the town. So you either deal with it and wait for sales or go out of town.

What is happening? Short staffed, lines out the door at the registers, very upset and overworked employees. One time, ok. Every trip lately? Yes. Going to BigY.
