Horrible customer service! How do they have repeat customers? I see in the reviews that others had the sane experience. The young lady with short, black, curly hair was SO rude and snappy to me when I asked questions about the pastry and bread. Will NOT be returning.
I love this place❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I have been looking at this place online for the past few weeks and have driven by many times. It always has a line. Always smells good when you go by and has been a take from many people around town. Super friendly. Apple pie is a must!Go, you will love it.
Great bakery! Friendly staff. Love their support of the local community. There is a board outside filled with local events and information. Nice place to pick up a breakfast pastry! Bagels are a little air-y for some but are still very tasty!
Cool bakery with outdoor seating and friendly staff. Great bread and bagels. Decent coffee.
Just had a Lox bagel w/ da-works made with care and knowledge by the nicest person, (you know who you are). Putting the fish on last is the signature of an artiste 👨🎨. Awesome 😎
Save yourself the drive up the hill...go to left bank, and the bread peddler. Quiche was not good at all. Pastries were no good. Staff was rude. Atmosphere was not good. Wont be going back there again...
Ive been looking for good Lox Bagel for many years in the Olympia area. Finally found it. This is their specialty.
Absolutely delicious 😋. They made pies for our wedding 💒. Wonderful 👏!
The male employee was completely rude towards another customer right in front of me. He said he didn’t care! I wont support a business like this.
SF street has excellent baked goods and coffee. The almond croissant I had was to die for, service was fantastic. No indoor seating right now and only 2 customers allowed inside at a time (even from the same household), so prepare for a possible wait. Worth it though, and sometimes theres no wait, it just depends. I hadnt been there in a long time when I went, and it makes me want to go back for more!
Sam Francisco Street Bakery has the most delicious treats. Delicious baked goods and awesome coffee. It is my go-to place in town.
I bought a cake here for my sons birthday. Normally these cakes are amazing and I have zero issues. This time I was in for a surprise and not a good one. My son blew out the candles and we give out pieces to the friends around the table. 3 slices in there is a gosh darn fly baked into my sons vanilla cake! My wife was then disgusted and we had to take away cake from the children. We bought a cake at the thriftway instead. Not happy.
Nice place. nice coffee.. my kid enjoyed the small kitchen toys while we having little chit chat..
Madesyn has had consistently great customer service skills. I so value a positive experience in my exchanges with customer service representatives. I have stopped going to particular places even though I like the product when the service is negative or otherwise unhelpful. Madison has been kind and helpful both over the phone providing information when I call and being upbeat, positive, kind, and service focused when I’m in the bakery. I appreciate her so much.
I just moved here from NC and I love bakerys so I decided to check them out today. Cute little place I wish COVID wasnt around Im sure I would of loved the out door seating. But regardless I enjoyed the service and the pastries, their sandwiches are amazing as well I got a ham sandwich on a garlic bagle so so good!! But their pickles are by far my favorite! Best pickle Ive had like ever. I will definitely be visiting again.
The male at the front counter dishing up pastries is EXTREMELY nasty. It is like he gets a high from being rude to people. Not sure how he has a job. Too bad theyre losing customers because of this guy.
This was the best bakery in the area. It’s in a cute building. They were good with handling social distancing. We ordered everything. The rum balls were amazing, as well as my pesto bagel. We really enjoyed the pie and bread. We will come back soon
Guy behind the counter asked if we wanted something quick as he was about to head to lunch. My girl and I were there for lunch too. Yknow cause its a restaurant.
This was my much anticipated first time coming to this bakery, I had heard great reviews about it. My Dad had been here a while ago and loved the caramel sauce in his coffee he had gotten here and the baked goods. I understand that there was limited capacity and maybe due to our excitement we were googling the baked goods alot. (They looked delicious!) What afforded lack of stars in this reviews was the staff. First off, my father is hard of hearing and with plexiglass and masks is has made it that much more difficult to read lips and put together what others are saying to him. He had a hard time ordering, and due to them not having the same products for coffee they had last time he was at a bit of a loss. We even asked for suggestionsand the answer was I dont know what you want. This young lady with the Santa Cruz t-shirt was very rude. Saying things under her breath like If you could make up you mind sooner than later, and I dont how else I could say this to you . We were given the impression that we needed to leave and had inconvenienced her enough. I really WANTED to like this place. To add insult to injury after opening our bags to our order we did not receive the Danish that we had paid for. I usually always give hefty tips to service staff. Being in the field, I understand. This time however, a little grace from the staff would have made it more desering.
Yummy coffee and friendly service
Depending on when you go can be a long wait, but if there is it is worth it! Everything Ive had here is fantastic. If you like the flavor of rum, the rum balls here are sooooooooooo good.
Very rude staff borderly insulting, Jeremy is name of the barista/waiter. Came in through other door to be told to leave and use other door, after was staff was just insulting from there....
The olive loaf is so good!!
Love this place! They have the best salmon cream cheese and bagels! I also really love their quiche, and sweets!
Love this place! Everything here tastes good, I have to be underwhelmed. In addition, the folks that work here are super friendly and easy going. Its a great place for family, highly recommended!
Perfect and unforgettable bakery nestled in a historical neighborhood. Everything tastes great! You can also find them at the farmers market in downtown Olympia.
Delicious lemon tart & very kind staff
A gem in the NE neighborhood!! My favorite items are: ham and cheese croissant, and the danishes are the best I have ever had! There are so many more yummy items, but these two I pretty much always buy when I go.
So nice to stop by SF Bakery - great coffee and some delicious sweets! Thank you for being open!
Awesome bakery in Olympia, Washington! Great breads, excellent cookies, sandwiches, quiche, etc. Not hard to find off I-5, try it! You wont be disappointed.
Love their chocolate chip walnut cookies and their vanilla carmens!
Best bagels, bread, coffee and sweets in town. Gotta get there early for the pesto bagels
I guess they are just in the process of opening up again after being closed beca use of Coronavirus. They did not have many items to choose from. I bought a slice of chocolate cheesecake, just to give them some business. It was delicious!
Amazing stuff.
Ordered a cheesecake from these people. They should be arrested. It was criminally delicious.
Love this Olympia staple bakery! All their treats are delightful and for fair prices compared to other bakeries in town.
Great food, good coffee, friendly people.
Unbelievably good pastries, tortes, bread and cookies. Their baked goods are simply in a class by themselves. Sandwiches that I have had were fresh, delicious, & made to order. Bakery itself is a bit out of the way, but well worth the excursion! Wonderful outdoor area that is a conservation project as well as a lovely place to sit in some shade at a picnic table and eat food so good it makes you happy...just to bite into it....! 😎🐾💜🐾😎
One of the best bakeries in town. I always go for the bagels with salmon cream cheese. Macaroons are good too. My kid likes the ginger bread cookies.
The best bakery in Olympia. A low key vibe is aided by calm service and spectacular food. Great atmosphere and neighborhood feel.
A very “Olympia” bakery! Check it out and you’ll see. We stopped by and grabbed a loaf of challah bread, which at the employee’s suggestion, we later used to make French toast. Real good!
Dont try the Lemon Tort, I want all of it!Never had any lemon anything so fabulous. Serious dont eat my tort!!! Wow, love the food.
My boyfriend and I went in for bagels. Very good, warm and fresh. But I would reccomend asking for half the amount of cream cheese. As a huge lover of cream cheese I put a lot on my bagels, but they go above and beyond. Theyre always generally busy, but the line goes very quick. Very warm and welcoming environment; with indoor and outdoor seating amongst a lovely garden. Great little spot to grab a quick bite.
Good food, delicious hot cocoa. Friendly service. The only drawback is the service is always a little slow. They made our cream for our drinks fresh on the spot. It just takes a little extra time.
Love this place, food, bread, treats are great
(I would rate it a 3.5 if Google would let me, but it doesnt)Great food! Warm and inviting atmosphere, and the people that work there are friendly! I also really like their garden and location! The only fly in the ointment is how very slow the service is. Ive had to walk out of there several times after waiting over 10 minutes to have my order taken. Usually I wouldnt mind the wait, but Im often dropping by on my way to work and cant spare much more time than that.Would reccomend the place for the food and the atmosphere, but dont come if you want fast service.
Wonderful neighborhood bakery thats been around for decades. Very popular spot for quick coffee & munchie to go. Popular with locals & families as it is across the street from an elementary school. Breads, danish, cookies & bars, bagels, quiche and more all made daily in house. Eat in or take out. Easy to find; its on the corner. Bus your own table. If you found this helpful please give a thumbs-up.
I loved this place!!The people who work here are super fun and are very nice. My family and I went here and we were very pleased and would love to come back soon.
Amazing bakery!! I love the atmosphere and the fresh baked goods are amazing... my favorite is the quiche; seriously to die for.... the reason I am giving a three star is because this bakery is under staffed. All the times I visit the bakery there is a huge line. Last time there was a gentlemen making sandwiches for a lady sitting down, and there were 6 people waiting to get helped including my husband and myself. We stood there for 20 minutes before we decided to try another place. This place is amazing during non-busy times.
This bakery has a wonderful assortment of baked goods, soup and sandwiches, all at fair prices. Great coffee with free refills, 1/2 price day- old bake goods rack. Nice atmosphere with a friendly neighborhood vibe. Indoor outdoor seating and a garden. Open all day till 6 or 7 pm. Loved the blueberry cheesecake! Highly recommended!
Excellent and friendly staff. The food, pastries and breads are ALWAYS delicious and very fresh! Lovely community bakery with a great owner, Patrick! Its a must experience bakery😊
They make my sandwich perfect every time!
If you have the chance to go here, absolutely dont miss out. Im not a pastry person, but San Francisco Bakery has made me a pastry lover. We moved, but I still crave their breads and pastries. Look for their day old basket next to the little kids toy kitchen. Great local feel.
Once again this place amazed me the tarts are delicious the coffee is perfect friendly family environment prices are fair 😊 also they have pies pastries sandwiches bagles loafs of bread cookies a must stop Ive been coming back ever since my first time finding this place
Plenty to like about this place but it is SO SLOW that I avoid coming in anymore. I get that there are rushes, but there seems to be no sense of urgency. And this seems to be at least half the time i come in, if not more. On a weekday trying to get coffee before work, it will take 10 to 15 minute to get through 3 people in line!Im not sure if they dont understand people like to be served quickly, or if they just dont care. The baked goods are nice, and the employees are friendly. Just dont go there if you have somewhere to be.
This place is one of my favorite places to get a small bite to eat. Its fairly popular so there is usually a line to wait through. But its worth it
Great pastries as well as an assortment of baked entre items such as pizza. Staff is friendly and helpful as you would expect from a neighborhood bakery. They do accept cards via Square, but I find cash to be a better option.
The pastries are delicious, some of the best in Olympia, and prices are not out of line. The only thing Ive noticed that keeps me from rating 5 stars is the inconsistency, for example: some days their whole wheat cranberry scones are close in size to their jam scones (an appropriate size), then the next day they might be 1/2 to that size. The price doesnt change for the super small scones. A measuring cup for the dough before plopping down these puppies to bake and Id give them 5 stars. I havent noticed this inconsistency with any of the other items, but since the cranberry scone is my go-to SF item (delicious!) I had to point it out.
Always 5 stars! So Happy to be back in Washington
Their food is amazing for everyday dining, or for special events. We LOVE their full spectrum of offerings for breakfast or lunch, sweet or savory, pastries or sandwiches, and much more. We also enjoy their Bistro dinners--best french dinning anywhere. Their owner and staff are skillful professionals who cultivate excellence.
Okay, so this was my first visit here, as Im not from this area, and I tried the cherry bear claw as per a recommendation from a friend of mine... Ive never had such an experience with food like I did with this pastry! It tasted amazing, like something Id never tasted before. I didnt get the chance to try the espresso or any of their other pastries, but I can confidently say that I will definitely be coming back here! 10/10 guys!
Good natural yeasted sour dough. I ate a whole loaf in one sitting because it was so good. Naturally good and chewy with a good salty taste on the crust...
I love this place. Fresh bagels and smoked salmon cream cheese are amazing. The pastries are delicious. I come here for breakfast as often as possible.
True neighborhood Berkeley-esque vibe. This place is a treasure. Best Sourdough rye Ive ever had. Everything is so wonderful. Try a hazlenut shortbread cookie. AMAZING. The staff to a person is friendly and thoughtful. Priced right as well. Enjoy the garden tables.
An anonymous person paid for my drink. The quality of my free coffee was excellent.
Was here for the first time yesterday the employee we met was full of smiles and joy! If you need a smile this is the place to go. Their cider was good but it was out of a jug so you can always do the same at home. The ginger bread men my wife and I got were AMAZING but the frosting was a bit hard so I’m not sure when they were made but we would still get them again and highly reccomend this place if you’re on the go and still want a sweet treat.
Great neighborhood bakery, walk here regularly to get bread, treats, or breakfast. Service is exceptional. Staff is friendly. Recommend eating baked goods in the first few days purchased, goods are fresh and dont have preservatives. I sometimes pick up a doughball to make pizzas, bread or pitas at home.
Service is always wonderful and the pastries, bagels, sandwiches, and drinks are wonderful!
That rum ball tho... Bliss. Over the last two years my husband and I have tried the majority of their typical fair and I recommend it all wholeheartedly. Even the items that look like something you buy for an undiscerning child are fantastic like the whole wheat sugar cookie or gingerbread dinosaur. Their cut pieces of cake that I bought at 1:30 at the market then ate later are wonderful?! What sorcery is this?! Its had to have sat in the case all morning and its still blissful almond and chocolate pound cake. The pastries and bars will ruin you for others and bread wont last the day.
Ive been going here since I was two years old, Im 25 now! Ive experienced so much of this establishment and hands down the food is delicious. Im writing today because yet again, for the 100th time, Ive experienced downright awful service. There has always seemed to be an air of disrespect in the restaurant and it will often make me not want to enjoy a bagel or cup of coffee from there! An example was today, when I asked for a garlic bagel, the owners son (and manager) put it on the wrong bagel. I then asked for here, and he smashed my bagel together and put in a bag! I dont know, I guess if this was a one time thing it wouldnt matter. But this and things like this happen time after time and fro the prices they charge there I just want a little more care and consideration.
Coffee and chocolate croissants. Nice selection of baked goods, breads & pastries prepared onsite. Has a very faithful following in the neighborhood. Nice outdoor seating.
Great coffee, has an almost diner feel. Theres a great outdoor eating area. The food is amazing. Dont forget to grab some bread to take home!
I was hangry! Six grain bread turkey and Swiss..all I had to say was the works and it was so fresh and crunchy with lots of fresh ingredients. First time Ive gotten a deli sandwich from them and it was awesome!
The bread they have here is delicious and it was set an really reasonable price. I will be coming for more bread and sandwiches soon!
Always a friendly, personal experience, every time you go in. I get a sandwich at San Francisco Street Bakery about once every three days. And their coffees great! Best bakery in Oly, in my opinion!
Awesome bakery. Get you a lox deluxe if you go there along with some bread and other fine stuff.
The danishes are delicious. Customer service was great, even when things got busy. Very friendly staff. I will be back!
My sons preschool got to have a tour of this bakery, and now were hooked on this place. Friendly staff, awesome coffee and baked goods/sandwiches etc. But once you eat their bread, you wont want to get it anywhere else.👍
I have gotten dozens of muffins, cookies and cakes for work from this bakery. The food is always fresn and wonderful. The bakerys staff is helpful and quick! Thanks SF Bakery- a great community business.
Great service and food. Been a customer for over 30 years but havent been in a while since moving from east Oly. I will definitely be going back soon. Thank you for sticking around...and for helping make the eastside so great!!
Friendly, willing, responsive staff. fabulous TRUE croissant and pastry. No corners cut here. Just plain old fashioned wonderfulness. IN SPADES.
Any New Yorkers looking for a good lox bagel look no further
Great place to hangout in the morning. Friendly staff and an amazing outdoor seating area. The bagels and croissants will disappoint if youve had the real thing.
We love, love, love this place! Great food and great people!
Food was amazing but the people werent very nice to my friends and I (were 13 year olds) hoping for better luck with them next time my pictures from there are getting lots of views my sandwich is the second one if you click photos go check it out!
Bakery goods are delicious and fresh made everyday! Coffee is pretty good too, Im enjoying a cappuccino and a bacon mini-quiche as I write this! Haha! They have a great selection of still tasty day-olds that ate half off, I picked up a loaf of bread today. If any complaints, the parking situation isnt incredible, but I dont think its due to lack of effort.4/5 would recommend if you have time to enjoy fresh made croissants, pies, scones and more! Inside or outside seating, here or to-go.
My favorite place in Olympia. I live in New York now and still havent found better bagels. Really nice and friendly staff too, makes me feel at home in my old home.
I like S.F. St. Bakery for the friendly, relaxed vibe. Love the rugalach! And the shortbread. And the cookies and the sandwiches. And the soup! Yum. Oh, and the gardens. Yes.
The best bakery in town! Great service, delicious food, kid friendly!
Its all ways a good time in here friendly environment and a lovely community garden
Awesome ambience and great service. Outdoor seating is added plus. Coffee and pastry was above average.
