I have found some really cool items here. The pricing on the items I purchased were fair and the owners were really informative and nice. I like all of the kitchenware they have and have found some cool restaurant memorabilia also. If you love picking through items they have a lot there to see!

Excited to go for the first time. Too crowded, dirty and yes smelly. Tried to buy a trellis for 5 less but she said it was worth more and was actually going to raise the price. I spend $1. And yes the old man was creepy. We will go elsewhere as well. Not impressed at all. Much better places to shop. Dont bother commenting. I dont care.

Online purchase made, but hope to see the shop someday in person. Fantastic communication with one of the owners which made my buying experience pleasant. Seemed to be very knowledgeable and passionate about what they were doing and made great suggestions for me of other items to look at. Would recommend to anyone looking for cool antiques and collectables! Thanks!

First time here and definitely will be coming back!! My boyfriend and I are avid antique shoppers as I have a porcelain doll collection and he retro gaming. We found AMAZING stuff here. The owner was VERY friendly and negotiated some prices with us for both the collection of dolls I found and a gaming system my boyfriend found. The entire place has such a great feeling and so many interesting items and I could for sure spend more time there.

When you walk in you’re immediately welcomed by a strong smell of mildew which makes it difficult to even continue to shop due to it being nauseating and knowing that the smell is most likely carried on every single item in there. Majority of the items in there have very little to no value at all. They either should’ve been donated or thrown away a long time ago. The prices on everything is laughable due to it being so overpriced, especially due to the unkept nature of everything too. I rarely reached out for anything and my fingers were already coated with a thick film of dust. The clothes are also WAY to overpriced due to the nature that they must reek of mold and I see the same selection at thrift stores for even less than half the price. Not to mention an employee is what ultimately lead us to just leave due to an unfriendly demeanor that seemed like he was suspicious of us. I would not come back ever again nor recommend the place unless there was a mass of improvements made.

This place is every junkers dream. That being said, the astronomical pricing here is mind blowing. The building reeks of musty mildew, and almost everything has very clearly been sitting practically untouched for ages. A pile of old Fortune magazines from the 30s will cost you $25 a piece, but they are strewn in a messy and agitated pile. Such a shame that theyd gouge items this way.

OMG. The smell hits you as you walk in the door, even with a mask! Musty, moldy, damp, cold. That pretty much says it all. Anything you purchase will carry that odor. I could also say dark, dirty, unorganized. Three more works that set the stage for the obscenely high prices, and unfriendly and non-negotiating staff. Enough said.

Midwest Pickers is such a fun place to go!! I could roam around all day looking at all the incredible and unique items they have in there! The owners are amazing-not only are they willing to work with you on pricing but go out of their way to help customers. She has helped my family out when it came to my late Grandmother’s estate, going way above and beyond what anyone else would ever do, and has helped out several people in the community when dealing with estates of loved ones who they had lost. April and her father, Gene are compassionate people who truly care about the work they do and it shows. The father-daughter team at Midwest Pickers is absolutely amazing to work with! I highly recommend checking out their store-you will never be disappointed! I have found things that spark nostalgia from my childhood as well as items I didn’t even know exist! Their collection is ever-changing and always growing and I’m always excited for the next time I can go in!! Truly an original shop and an asset to the community!!!

It is so cool to be able to find things that are actually authentic and dont just come from Target or Pier One where nothing is unique. I just left the store after being essentially yelled at by the girl behind the counter. I was trying to purchase about 10 items, 7 of which did not have price tags which she made up prices on the fly. I offered her five dollars less that she asked me to pay. she insulted me and told me to leave, ranted about her overhead being $6000 a month and she didn’t need my business and literally was yelling at my sister and I and our three-year-old as we walked out of the store. I do plenty of shopping at these types of places each year and I will never ever go to this place again or recommend that anyone in town do so. After reading their 2.9 rating I FULLY understand why. This experience was literally insane! In response to what you’ve written below, your account of what happened is absolutely inaccurate as expected, to the point it is delusional. The ONLY somewhat accurate statement was that I gave the 25 cent item you let my son hold and put it back on the counter before we left. Ironically I was at 4 other antique shops after leaving your place and was treated very well as should be expected. I shared this experience with the owner of one of these stores close by and we were told they hear these same things from your customers often. Again, not a surprise. Post the video to prove me right.

I love treasure hunting at Midwest Pickers. No visit is ever the same as the last. From antiques and modern furniture to jewelry and clothing to vintage toys, they always have the best selection and greatest finds in the area. It’s clear that this is a family passion, and April and her dad Gene will always go above and beyond to take care of you when you’re there, answer your questions and share their love of picking. If you’re in the Omaha area, definitely plan to stop by this local favorite!

I was with my sister Angela L. Her account of everything that Took place today is completely accurate. This lady is completely insane! My sister never insulted anyone. She was only asking for a few dollars off. This lady‘s reaction was straight out of nowhere, she’s crazy! I have never met someone so rude. You don’t treat customers this way. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Her items are also overpriced. The facility smells terrible and is a disaster. There are plenty of good ones around town that don’t have crazy owners and don’t look like and smell like this.

Today I went to Midwest Pickers to look around to see What they had. I have collected for over 40 years and I am looking to sale my collection of high quality antiques. I talked to April about buying some of my things I was told to send her some pictures of my things I felt like things were going well. When I was getting ready to leave she said I have something you mite like, They were 10 different silver dollars dating from 1779-1923. I was told that some older man had just sold them to here. When I was in her store I saw many places were she has coins so I bought them. She also had me look at a old sports pendant signed by some player. As I didnt know much about it I declined. I would also like to say she did say she did not know much about the coins. Here is were it goes BAD they were FAKE !!! I live 50 miles from her store and called her to let her know. Her response was I told you I didnt know much about them . I would like to ad I feel that a shop that sales antiques and collectibles should know !! I did not realize she did not give me a receipt and I used cash to pay. She did not offer to buy them back . I do play apart in this for trusting that she knew what she was selling or maybe she did !!! I will never go back there and if I was you I would make sure if I bought something of value to check it out very thorough. Not my kind of place 0 rating !!! I also would like to ad a coin that is fake by law should have copy stamped on it...

UPDATE: On my last visit, the donation demand bucket has been removed! I am now a happy customer.GREAT PLACE TO DIG!A donation to enter is not a donation, it is a fee. A donation is the free giving and support for an organizations works and/or programs. If I have better, to me, ways of supporting nonprofits then its my choice when and how I donate. When the charge to shop is lifted, I will shop here again.

Never have I ever been asked to pay an admission fee to enter a facility in which I had planned on spending money. They lost a paint sale today as I was intending on buying some of the Junk Gypsy paint. In addition, I was really looking forward to making a few furniture purchases as I am re-doing several rooms in my house. As a business owner myself, I realize that half of the battle is getting clients through the door. Here they are turning them away before they can get over the threshold. I arrived at the location around noon today, Friday 3/3. I had shopped here before last year (for free..) and was looking forward to spending several hours looking again; last year during our visit there were a LOT of customers. So when I was asked to pay an admission price today, I was so shocked that I turned around and left. The facility was empty of clients... Since there are about 100 other antique shops, not to mention all the thrift stores in town, I think Ill stick to the stores where I can look and shop without having to pay an admission. And for the record, I will also stick to purchasing Annie Sloan paint from Keep the Piece in Omaha where I dont have to pay to enter their store. Perhaps they should rethink their business plan if the intent is to make sales, because I for one will not be back if I am forced to pay just to enter the facility to make purchases.

They had a very impressive collection of furniture and other antiques. The prices were reasonable and the employees are open to negotiations. My wife and I read a price tag wrong for a vintage 1960s bar and thought it was $299 (when it was really $699). When we realized the mistake as we were about to pay, they were willing to find a price that worked for us, even though they probably could have gotten a lot more for it!

I came into the store with my son on Saturday 2.24.17 looking for a very specific unique high dollar ($500+) item that I had seen posted online. The $1 requested at the door is actually a DONATION to the food bank (not a $1 cover charge) which we were more than willing to support. I was immediately greeted by April. She found the exact item I wanted. April even told me the history of the item, which made me love it even more. She was willing to wiggle on asking price a bit to compromise at a purchase price that we were both comfortable with. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Would definitely buy from here again.

April, is a very dishonest person. I bought some jewelry including a nice brooch which she quoted at $5 and when i got home everything was in the bag except the pin. At the register she put everything in the bag, we agreed on a price and then i wanted to also look at glassware so i left the unpaid bag on the counter and went across the store. when i came back our agreed on price of the bag was $23 but had now changed to $28 and i said fine whatever and we settled on $25 cause i knew the pin was worth more. SO i not only paid more, but also didnt get the nice pin that she knew was worth more than she originally quoted me. Beware shopping there. the stories you read on here are true.

We had a few issues and April threatened with a recorder, her lawyer and to have cops involved. When we started business it was through messaging and ended up calling me with the issues i addressed and said they dont do business that was it was unprofessional. She passed things like she didnt want them. Adventually she changed her mind. She made piles and i didnt agree to somethings. Meanwhile her husband was in another room loading stuff into the truck. When we left they came back and picked from the yard. She threatened me as well if posted this.Yes this happened last week but now there is nothing i can do because of funding. She was rude and saying i was from the south and she didnt care i how i had to take care of my son, and i couldnt get round and that i should have sales myself. then expected me to feel for her shop bills and told me to come work for her a few days and see what it was like. To go ahead and try.She challenged me. Brought up her years of experience and said i didnt know as much even if i looked it up. Very condescending. later saying the stuff was mostly worthless and had to throw it away. Which i got pictures to prove otherwise. Told me to come get my stuff that id have to pay and then some and told me she didnt work for me. then threatens me to call the cops if i came. Later she text me about my son. And posted stuff i didnt agree for them to take.
