Ive had a good experience with Alkar. From my first visit to look at pool tables to ultimately ordering an Olhausen table, to having it delivered, installed, and now played regularly my experience was positive. There was a mistake made on installation that can be blamed on an installers honest mistake that was corrected without question. This company has your satisfaction as its highest priority and I would feel comfortable buying from here again. There was also some damage to the table that likely occurred during shipping that was immediately corrected. I also bought pool cues, darts, and accessories and have always been happy. Would recommend this company without a doubt for your purchases.

Unfortunately, we had a HORRIBLE experience with this company when trying to get our pool table moved. We paid half of the moving fees upfront, took work off to wait around for someone to move the pool table and no one ever showed up.When I called the company to get a new ETA I was told because I did not call back to confirm they pumped me off the schedule for the day and would get to it next week if they were able. I explained to the man who answered the phone that I had in fact called to confirm back on their voicemail, just as the message instructed. He then went on to say “oh yeah we didn’t check that this morning.” He also told me that they were short staffed and probably would have bumped me even if I wouldn’t have called. He coughed in the phone and said “See, I’m even dying over here.” Such an obscure and rude way to handle a mistake that the company made.I asked him for a refund and he said I did not pay anything. I told him I paid nearly $500 for a deposit. I called back the next day and let the owner know. I’m still waiting on my refund.

We bought a hot tub in early June. At that time, we were told 8 week lead time. I called back 9 weeks later to get an update and was told at that time the manufacturer was running behind due to COVID restrictions on their labor force, and that it would now likely be another 4 weeks. We were nearby a few weeks later so I stopped in to get an update. At that time I was told we were on the first shipment scheduled for early September. I called again in early September and was told again that we were still scheduled on that first shipment, but they were having a call with the manufacturer the following day to get specific lead times. I asked for a call back once they heard from the manufacturer. No call back, so I called again a week later (today) and was told we actually aren’t on the first shipment, we’re on the second shipment due end of September/early October.Needless to say this has been a poor customer service experience. I needed to continually reach out for any sort of update. There was zero proactive communication even when delays were apparent and incorrect information was passed along. I understand you have no control over the manufacturer, but please communicate with your customers.I still don’t have a hot tub, so I can’t comment on that experience, but up to this point I’ve been very disappointed. I’ll be sure to update this review as the saga continues.**UPDATE**The hot tub was delivered to Alkar October 19th and arrived at our house October 26th - 20 weeks after we purchased it and 12 weeks after the original 8 week lead time. While disappointing, I understand Alkar is at the mercy of the manufacturer. However, communication from the sales team never improved.We had some technical difficulties (it would not heat above 62 degrees) that prohibited us from using the tub. However, after having a conversation with Larry, service manager and part owner, it was resolved same day. Larry even followed up 20 minutes after his technician left to provide me with his personal cell phone should I have any further issues. LARRY GETS IT! He completely changed my outlook on Alkar and because of that I improved my rating/review. Also his technician, Gage, was extremely helpful and I greatly appreciate that.In summary, the sales team really dropped the ball with poor communication and lack of communication throughout the process. Ownership does truly cares about the customer experience and salvaged the relationship.

Everyone there was friendly. We got 2 pool cues one of them we already had to take in for repair the following day the tip broke off in four pieces just being chalked.

I have been going here for darts and dart supplies for years. They are always well stocked and helpful.

Customer service lacked a bit. Probably because I was in there looking like a scrub from doing yard work and was only looking for a “cheap” set of darts.

Great service!!! We purchased a ping pong table years ago that Alkar did not have in stock at the time. We then lost the receipt, which we did not find until a long time thereafter. I would not have blamed them if they would not have honored our receipt based on the time lapse, but instead Jim not only provided us with the ping pong table but was extremely friendly and helpful.

I am writing this review before we actually take delivery of our hot tub.......First, Rich is a great salesperson who really knows his stuff. We shopped 4 hot tub stores in Omaha, and by far Rich was the most knowledgeable. Their pricing was in-line with the other stores but I felt the Jacuzzi brand was a better product. As a small business owner myself, I really appreciated the time Rich took with us, looking forward to enjoying our spa!

I have ordered two sets of custom bar stools, a shuffleboard table, and a dartboard from Alkar. They are incredibly easy to work with. Their bar stools are high quality at a reasonable price, and they have by far the largest selection Ive seen in the Omaha area. We had an issue with the dartboard missing some parts which we unfortunately didnt notice until months later. Alkar went above and beyond to fix the problem and threw in some free upgrades as well. I highly recommend them.

Salesman was very pushy. Couldnt get a word in edgewise. We went in for a relaxing experience looking at pool tables, spa, etc, and it was ruined by salesman. When we are ready to buy, we will go anywhere else.

I wish I was rich because they have the coolest stuff. You fell like a kid again. They greet you when you come in and are very helpful with needs.

Had them set up and re cover my pool table, the guys came out put every thing together, all was going well until the end, i noticed the corners were not even and the plastic corner covers were not covering like they were suppose to, the installers responded with, some times these old tables just dont line back up when they have been move, they finished and left, so i measured and the bumpers where off by 3/4 of an inch, from one end of the table to the other and they were not square, i then proceeded to loosen the screws so i could DO THE JOB I JUST PAID THEM TO DO!, and i had to square up and even out the rails myself, then i notice 2 of the bolts missing and 2 not even tightened, i called the store and they did return with the bolts, new ones cause the installers insisted they were not there to start, but when they got there 1 of them counted and announced to the other that all the hardware was here, then suddenly it changed after they had to return that they were not available, I was petty disappointed that they tryed to blame me for the missing hardware and were not even apologetic about not even doing a complete install, the rails are a part of the set up of a table and for your table to work they need to be square and even, btw, after I INSTALLED THE RAILS CORRECTLY the corner pieces fit prefect, so apparently these old table do go back together

We bought our pool table from these guys in 2015 and also some bar furniture. They pool table installation was fast and a good experience. We did order some custom bar furniture and it took 3 months to come in. Thats the only reason I would doc them a star.

Great service, havent been there for years, my son shot darts one night and liked it alot, so i promised him, i knew a awesome place that I use to buy ANY kind and color of darts even Orange he said yes even orange, so the place has not changed a bit, maybe a slight bigger selection, great friendly service, will be back ...next a new stand up dart board.....

I bought a new pool table. Got the delivery set up. When they got here with everything they forgot a few things. Then they get the table set and everything put together and the felt had damage which should have been seen when cuts per the owner. I went in to grab my 9 ball rack and caulk to show them the damage to the table which they didnt even notice. Also mind you I couldnt play the first night we got it due to no caulk. They set up another appt to re-felt the table which the soonest was two weeks out. So now today had an afternoon appt. between 1-3. I had to call to find out why they were not here. Mind you I called at 2:15 to see if they would still make 3:00. A gentleman said he would find out and call me back. Well its now 3:20 no one still here and I recalled for him to hand the phone to the guy that was to be at my house by 3:00. Needless to say Ill be waiting till 4:00 before he even shows up. Customer service SUCKS here. Its like well you bought it and the checks cleared so who cares.

HORRID service. I wish I could give them 0 stars.When I first walked in the lady looked me up and down and said hello in a nasty voice and didnt ask if she could help me but instead looked back down at her paper. From then on out I counted 5 of the salesmen either cut me off to get to another customer, or look at me but then ignore me. I stuck around and looked at items just to give the staff another chance in case they were simply stressed/busy and after 5 minutes of standing there waiting I simply walked out. All of the other customers in there were older white men and despite being a younger female, I still make plenty of money to spend. They will not be getting that money though!Dont go there unless you want a chauvinistic/sexist experience!

Been going to Alkar for over 25 years. Owners son is there alot and he is a great guy with alot of knowledge and the lady that works there is soo sweet. But....there were a couple guys, one at cash register and the other walking around that came off that I was bugging them by being there.Guy behind the counter was very matter of fact and didnt look up to speak with me. Kind of a shame since there customer service was always worth spending a little extra at the store vs online. I picked out quite a few items and had my decision narrowed down to a new cue and then made the decision that the lack of customer service wasnt worth it. Put everything down and left and ordered my supplies online from a different company. Hope the next time I go in it works out different.

Poor follow up, broken promises and excuses that are not valid. Seems as if they will say anything to get you to order than wait 12 weeks to tell you it will be another 2 weeks and than 5 minutes later follow up call to say another 2 weeks.

Customer service was poor my purchase was advised by the employee was wrong product after driving 70 miles to a specialty shop that was supposed to help fix my pool cue
