The guy was pleasant, honest and most importantly to sellers, paid top dollar. More than other buyers in town and gave pricing over the phone for certain items.....like he would tell you approx amt he’d give for a 14k gold chain if you knew the weight. Also, for common coins, like silver eagles he gave pricing and it was better than all others I contacted. Some slimy place....a jewelry store in Omaha, was anxious to get me in there but would not give any general pricing. Reminded me of a used car dealer. Sold and purchased here for the best price, but much more importantly I felt relaxed and confident in my transactions, because it was apparent I was dealing with a good man of integrity and transparency. Prices plainly marked on his website for every item, to automatically reflect a spreadsheet calculation that fluxes with spot price. Business owner (Dave) answers his own phone, every time. Probably the only two people in the greater Omaha area I feel this confident with are Dave at Coinhuskers, and Joe downtown/ South O (A Coin Shop). Anybody else and I keep seeming to get the runaround, hemming and hawing, vagueness, and rudeness (in other words, nothing that makes me want to open my wallet or my safe). Coinhuskers, Id send my grandmother here and feel comfortable.

Some one in previous review ( randomanonymous smith) mentioned that he tried to trick him. not sure why you are mad on Dave. Dave is right, he always took me along with coins in his back room to do checking of the items. No chance of forgery. Please dont put incorrect reviews and demotivate some genuine people who really want to read reviews.

Honest, straightforward and great to work with!!

Since i wish to remain anonymous, Ill just state the following: I brought something into Coinhuskers to show Dave, the owner, to get an appraisal and plausibly sell my item. However, once this item reached Daves hands a shocked look of awe came over his face and he swiftly told me he needed to go into the back room to check the items authenticity. After being back there for an approximate twenty to maybe thirty seconds Dave returned to the counter at which i was waiting. He then informed me with a certain degree of shakiness in is voice ( and oh boy is he a fast talker when needed ) that Oh no, yeah, no... Yeah its definetly a fake. I questioned him if he was certain and he said, uhh... well yeah... yeah its fake... Pretty good one though isnt it? I agreed that yes, if it were a forgery it was a good one. I waited a moment for him to hand me my item and upon asking him for it back he told me he had forgotten it in the back room on the table and oh by the way can he go ahead and keep it to show his friend how good of a forgery it was... I dont know if anybody reading this has ever been swindled by a fast-talking Hustler but in the moment under pressure I folded and told him yes sure he can go ahead and just keep it and give me nothing for it. There is a little more detail I could give to this venture that would really make you certain about how foul of an action this was, but I dont really wish to share the what it was or when this took place.
