Such a lovely family business. A year ago, I had an issue with a 4 inch gap between my countertop and built-in cabinet resulting from changing out appliances. The granite was in the house when I bought it so I didn’t know who did the original install. Luckily I found a scrap piece of leftover granite so I stopped by Countertops By Design and asked if they would be willing to cut the scrap to fit, which they did for a very fair price. When I installed the piece it fit fine but I realized I had asked them to polish the wrong edge. I was too busy (and a little embarrassed) to bring it back but every time I passed the unfinished edge it bothered me. Finally, after more than a year, I went back and confessed my error, asking if they would polish the other edge. The owner himself took the piece to the back. Less than 10 minutes later his son came out with a perfectly polished edge. When I asked what I owed, the son said, “oh, don’t worry about it. It’s on the house.” To be willing to fix a mistake that they didn’t even cause, and to do it while I waited! Amazing.

Wonderful, family-owned company. Made the process as smooth as possible, were very communicative, and made sure the job was done right even if it took longer than their timeline. Would use them again!

Pulling the trigger on a kitchen remodel for the first time was a bit nerve racking. I can honestly say doing 90% of it ourselves was even more stressful. Countertops by design was a god send when it came to the fabrication and installation of our countertops and full height backsplash. The process was seamless and we always prompt to answer any questions we had. Supporting local small business is where it’s at and I can honestly say they did not disappoint.From choosing the material to installation, countertops by design was professional, friendly and a business that strives for excellence. We were a bit nervous about the marble we picked out but with the expertise and knowledge of stone the crew at countertops by design killed it! I would recommend countertops by design to anyone looking!

After having a great experience with them installing new quartz in my basement bar area I wanted to redo my kitchen island and do a waterfall edge. picked the color and went over in detail the design idea with owner doing only one waterfall edge because of outlets on other side of island. Install day came and it was completely cut wrong to do both sides instead of only one. The owner seemed irritated when this was not my issue or fault in any way. I also had a get together planned that evening because it was being done. They had to come back and re cut it all completely. The pieces installed have multiple noticeable scratches and marks on them which I was told would be perfected and buffed out, also the seem edge was not completely blended or smooth. I have spent thousands with this company on my counters and expect it to be perfect. The guy doing install explained that he “wasn’t the best” with quartz and that “white is the hardest color to blend” and someone else that’s awesome with quartz would come finish and blend better. This was concerning to hear and the whole thing felt unprofessional. I left a voicemail explaining everything right away after install and never heard back. No follow through at all to what I was told would be done and not made a priority in any way. That’s part of owning a business, you make sure customers are happy and what you’re putting in isn’t scratched all over. Word of mouth is everything. That’s why I’m leaving this review because at this point due to how this was dealt with or not dealt with for that matter is not professional and I won’t be using the company again.

MUST READ!!!! From my very first phone call, to the 2 gentlemen walking out of my door after the install....NOTHING BUT PERFECTION!!!! I was lost as to whom to call for countertop help! You see, I have 5 bathrooms upstairs that all needed a desperate remodel. I love to demo, so started to do that with no plan in site! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I searched on Facebook and Kristine and Jeremy’s company and names kept popping up! So, why not give them a call?? I’m so so so glad that I did. Kristine answered the phone and was more than willing to assist when I said “I’ve got a hot mess upstairs and need countertop help!!” When I went in to pick the tops, I felt like I was at home. They are family run and take pride in ownership. Jeremey was fast, friendly and courteous when he came out to measure. The 2 men that did my install, honestly, went ABOVE AND BEYOND! They even helped me out with my kitchen countertops that I didn’t even purchase through their company....(that purchase was years ago!) I will NEVER go anyplace else! I cannot say enough positive things about this entire experience!!! Prices were amazing as well! Please don’t waste your time going to anyplace else! THANK YOU COUNTERTOPS BY DESIGN FOR EVERYTHING!!!!
