I was looking for something really personal for my husband’s retirement from the military. He loves donuts so I sent them an email on a whim, really thinking it was a long shot, asking of they could design donuts with symbols from his 20+ career. Without hesitation they told me they could! When I picked up the donuts I had no idea what to expect, but the obvious time and care that went into them…it honestly meant so much to me. I was blown away, and that was before we even tasted them! They were so delicious! I am still thinking about them 12 hours later! My mil is dairy free and she said the vegan donut was amazing and by far the best she has ever had! I would definitely recommend them for creativity, reliability and scrumptiousness! I know we will definitely be back again!

I really wanted to like this place because the reviews and photos looked great, but the square donuts are really just a gimmick and overall experience was average. The most flavorful donut we tried was the strawberry which had a nice powerful punch of artificial strawberry in the icing. The dough of the rest of the donuts was saturated with oil and left feeling heavy and sort of stale instead of light, fluffy, and fresh. The caramel Apple fritter was an absolute disappointment. The fritter was extremely thin with no traces of apple in it at all and the caramel on top was thicker than the layer of fritter leaving it sticking all over your teeth and roof of your mouth for a very unpleasant experience. Are these donuts better than a grocery store or generic chain? Absolutely yes. Will I be waking up early to rush here for fresh donuts, or raving about it to all of my friends and family? Probably not.

My son and I picked this doughnut shop off of a google search of doughnut shops. My son loved the idea of square doughnuts ❤️ So glad we picked them! Delicious snacks and such nice staff! They gave great recommendations that we were so happy with!

I have been searching all over town for a GF donut and I was very surprised at how donut-like their GF donuts are! They had a few to choose from when I went too. Glazed, vanilla frosted, and strawberry frosted!

They were bussy but for good reason. There donuts are amazing. I got 2 raspberry filled,2 cream filled, 2 bevarian filled and 2 fritters for under 20.00. If you go go early cuz they sell out fast. I was there at 740 am and i was 8th in line .one lady said shes seen then all the way down the store frount and that doesnt suprise me. You can call your orders in a day in advance and they will have them ready.

This place is a gem. At first it was curiosity. And came love at first taste. Right balance of cake to icing. Not overly sweet. Going back for some more. A must try!!!!

The family was torn on this one. Ill do my best to describe them to see if they sound like to kind of donuts you prefer. For the amount of frosting on the donuts they are not super sweet. To me krispy cream is VERY sweet, where these are just a little sweet. Even the chocolate frosting is not super strong, its very subtle. They have a rich fry taste similar to what you would taste in a funnel cake. We only had the yeast donuts so unsure if the cake variety are similar or different. Some of the family enjoyed that flavor, others did not. Super cute designs that everyone loved. Half the family would give ⭐⭐⭐ the other half ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ so thats why we gave them an average of ⭐⭐⭐⭐

These donuts are absolutely amazing! We usually drive all the way to Q street for Sunrize donuts but was wanting to find a good donut shop closer to home. We gave Square Donut a try and we were beyond impressed. They were so light and fluffy and the cream they put in the square Jane was perfect!!! This is definitely our new donut spot!

I heard this place has the best gluten free donuts. I was very excited as gluten free are hard to find. As I am looking at their website so I can order some, I read at the bottom that they are fried in a shared fryer! That means these donuts will have gluten in them because they will pick up some of the gluten in the oil from gluten containing donuts. I am very disappointed! Honestly, why even bother having gluten free donuts on the menu if you are just going to ruin them in the cooking process. Gluten is not killed in the frying process. I am beyond disappointed and so glad that I found this out before any were brought in by co-workers.Thank you for replying to my comments. I do really appreciate it! I also appreciate that you clean the oil before frying the gluten free donuts. You might want to add to your website that although the fryer is shared you clean the oil lines before cooking to prevent further misunderstandings like mine. Again, I do appreciate the reply to clarify things.

You need to go here. Their donuts taste sooo good and they’re really pretty. The creme brûlée donut of the month is super yummy and the bacon maple one is worth driving here by itself. Not pictured but you gotta try the caramel apple fritter too.

Ive been waiting for months to try Square Donuts and finally got the chance! Stopped in around 10 am on a Wednesday and they still had plenty of donuts to choose from. I was surprised to find they had regular round donuts along with square ones! I was there for square though! Got a half a dozen of a basic variety though they do have gourmet flavors. We really enjoyed them! They were fresh, moist, and tasty. Will definitely go back!

Very pleasant shop to sit and relax while having a cup of coffee and one of their great baked items.

These donuts are GREAT and a MUST TRY. While these donuts are more expensive than what you would pay at a Bakers or HyVee, the quality and variety of these donuts does not disappoint. The Maple Bacon donut taste like Christmas morning. Ask about a punch card for return visits and more rewards down the road.

First time at this location. I came by once before and it was closed at noon which is normal or when all. The line was long but the wait wasnt too bad. My first donut was really good. It was squared, soft and sweet. I met the owner and she was nice. Check it out!

BELIEVE THE HYPE. These donuts were incredible. We called and ordered the ones we wanted the day before (call by 11am the day before). My favorites in order (yes I tried them all) were:1) Maple Bacon (honestly I would order a full dozen of just these next time. Out. Of. This. World.)2) Apple Fritter3) Square John (chocolate topped, Bavarian cream filled)4) Caramel Apple Fritter5) Chocolate Peanut6) Powdered with Raspberry FillingSeriously go just for the Maple Bacon alone. Worth the money for these fresh, moist, airy but dense, heavenly square donuts!

They’re too often closed during normal business hours with no sign or anything to warn customers. Came up at 8am on a Thursday, and they were closed. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

I went to their re-opening today. Those donuts are fire. The dough is perfectly fried, so they taste light not heavy. Friendly staff and comfortable to sit and have a cup of coffee.

The donuts are really good here and everyone always greets you with a smile. When we went the line was out the door but they were really fast at taking care of everyone I think we maybe waited in line 5 mins. We will definitely be returning.

I visited square donut this morning for the first time and I am so pleased everything was absolutely delicious. The square frosted sprinkle donut was so soft and delicious and the blueberry donut was the best I have ever had in my life.

These donuts were delicious. The cake was light and moist. The fillings were flavorful and there was plenty for every bite. I highly recommend trying these if you love good donuts. Square John, caramel apple fritter, lemon filled, and the basic glazed are my favorite so far. Looking forward to trying the maple bacon.

We are from out of town and hotel told us about your donut shop. We traveled quite a ways to find at 10.0 sold completely out . That just bad business, I have never heard of such a thing its like a chicken store out of chicken . Meanwhile Dunkin donuts down the street is cleaning from you mistakes. Dunkin Donuts think about that ...... !

Went this morning for a couple single vegan donuts. The bill was under $3.50 and I got 1 vegan iced white and 1 vegan iced chocolate. The total price was very good also. I think I prefer the white iced one, but they were both good overall. Will go back for these definitely.....also note the popular Hurts donuts in town has NO vegan options so Ill be happy to go here instead. Thanks Square for having at least a couple vegan options.

I LOVE square donut! They’re a cute small business, have delicious donuts and they have sit down tables inside if you’d like to sit down and eat with a friend. And the owners are so nice! Huge fan of this place and will be back for sure!

Ever since COVID-19 hit the area hard, I’ve been doing what I can to support local establishments. I recently moved into the area and even farther away from my go-to donut joint. While a Dunkin’ is readily available...yeah, no. Not interested in Dunkin, Krispy Kreme or any other copy and paste place when it comes to a quality donut.I was thrilled to hear about Square Donut having opened nearby and ordered a special dozen for the day after my move. The selection is fantastic but the quality and flavor found in SD’s creations are what sets them apart from most in the metro.They offer more traditional fare like glazed and cake donuts while also catering to those who dig a more “gourmet” approach without going overboard. The sinfully succulent caramel apple fritter and savory maple bacon are the way to go in that department.Their service solidifies them as a member of not only Omaha’s elite bakery community but among local eateries as a whole. Custom orders and letter donuts for special occasions are welcomed while the owners have shown an impressive amount of appreciation for their patrons.SD has knocked all expectations out of the park. Let them do so for you in the near future and beyond.

Ive been here twice. The first time I got in late and they ran out of my favorite Janes but I got their johns which was just as amazing. This morning I went in early got my amazing Janes before they ran out. You cant go wrong any which donut you pick they are all amazing.

The vegan chocolate raspberry filled are seriously to die for!!! Some didnt make it home 😂 Staff is super friendly and kind.

I have tried donut places all over town and this is the best glazed donut i can find. If you are familiar with Shipley donuts in Texas this is the closest donut shop to that.

Finally got to come in and try square donut this morning. They did not disappoint. The donut itself is so fluffy and delicious, with the perfect amount of sweet on the frosting. I personally love the sprinkled vanilla! If you havent been yet, dont waste another minute, this is seriously the best donut shop in the entire Omaha metro!

Ive stopped by square donut 3 times now on a Saturday at around 10:30 AM and every time they have been out of donuts or had maybe 2 or 3 donuts left.Im not quite sure why they dont stay open later or make more donuts, especially on a weekend.I wont waste my time going to square donut again due to the lack of donuts available and limited hours of operation.

Been driving by this place and finally tried it. Got a dozen of the fancy selection, and they were wonderful. They were pricey, but they were the best donuts Ive had in years. I was even blown away by the wonderful raspberry filling, and Im not a raspberry fan. Definitely will be back!

About 3 weeks ago my brother in law got us a couple assorted dozens from here. I think I ate 4-5 that day. :p New favorite Omaha donuts, and have been thinking about when to go back ever since.

Despite all going on, everyone patiently safely waited in a line outside the door. When I went in, there was a wait for certain donuts, but I was still able to pick out a dozen that was ready to go. In and out once the line was up, and my family enjoyed every single one.

Tried Square Donut for the first time after hearing lots of good things about it from a friend and it doesn’t disappoint!!! Amazing donuts and will definitely get some again.

Donuts were OK. Better than Krispy Kreme, but a little pricey for what you get. HyVee are fried fresh daily and are bigger and cheaper.*edit*HyVee makes their dough from scratch daily. They have been doing this for about 3 years now.

Tasty donuts! The whipped cream was very fresh tasting in the Jane and the maple icing was great on the bacon maple.

With everything going on we thought we would try to support a new business. My daughter called to place an order for ONE dozen donuts. She wanted to pick out what she wanted. She told them she would be there in an hour. Business must be booming because she was told she would have to call A day ahead for a large custom order. I would understand if this was an order for several dozen. Dunkin Donuts wants our business and I’m sure the new Hurts Donut will take our business when it opens. BEST DONUTS in NEBRASKA! I’ve been a donut lover my entire life and anxiously awaited the Grand Opening of Square Donut on West Maple. I had high expectations when I learned they would be offering small batch, scratch-made donuts and I was blown away! My favorite is the classic raised square donut. A close second is the maple topped but I’ll happily devour the vanilla and chocolate topped as well. They sell out daily and nearly always before the posted closing time; so get up early because you doNOT want to miss out on these DONUTS!

No thank you, you cannot mix and match donuts in your dozen meaning you cannot mix specialty and other plain donuts. Over $15 a dozen, a bit pricey for a sub par donut. Go to LaMars - spend less and have the best donut ever!

Been theyre first time since moving to elkorn they have square and round donuts they can be pricey but more you buy price gets cheaper theyre extremely good will definitely go there again
