I have used Norms for years they have never disappointed me. The staff is very professional and the techs know their jobs and are great at cleaning up after their work is completed. The price for installing the new opener and how fast the completed the work was outstanding.

Our double garage door would not fully open or close. We could manually close it but it would not go up when pushed the remote.(we even changed batteries in remote)Called Norm’s to service. Got a scheduled time & they were at the house before 8:00 am!One of the rollers was off & he put it back, checked the other rollers, serviced the door & it has worked beautifully since then!

I was very pleased with the experience I had with Norm’s. I remember calling them at 11:00 as my garage door springs had broken, and by noon they were out there fixing it. The job only took a little less than an hour and the service tech was very professional. I highly recommend them.

Just called for a tune-up because the door was so creaky. The technician was out the next day and quickly fixed it, including replacing a cable that if it would have broken and hit one of my cars I would have flipped out. But smooth now. I had a fantastic experience with Norm’s doors. I had them both fix an older model that was malfunctioning and install a newer opener on my other door. My technician, Richard, was extremely professional and very easy to work with. My wife and I both work during the week and they had no problem completing the work while we were not at home. Richard even tidy up my tools that I left in frustration from trying to fix my malfunctioning door myself. If I knew how easy and affordable the process would be I would have called Norm’s doors from the very beginning. I will be using them for all my future garage door needs and highly recommend them to anyone needing garage door work.

After moving into my new home, I was having some issues with my garage door. My dad called another company while he was here helping and basically got no solid answers and an offer to fix it for over $500. I called Norms the next week after seeing several positive reviews and I was not disappointed. The technician was knowledgeable, explained everything he did as he was going, got me new batteries and installed a new keypad for me all for far less than the $500 the other company quoted. They were quick to schedule, go there on time, and fixed my issues with no problems. Seriously some of the best service Ive seen when it comes to home issues. Ill definitely use Norms again if things arise!

Norm’s is the best. Beat the other guys price by a lot, there was one issue with the door manufacturer but the salesman called me right away to let me know. My new doors came in, they installed them within a week and had it done before noon. All around great.

In the past, I’ve used Norm’s Door Service for repairs on my garage door and have been satisfied. However, this time I needed help with my Genie garage door opener and I was really let down. The door would start to open (or close) and stop and reverse after only 6-8 inches of movement. I had already checked both the optical sensor and the force setting to make sure the door wasn’t getting caught up or something was in the way. The technician looked at the optical sensor and checked the force setting and told me the garage door opener was not fixable. Norm’s does not stock Genie parts he said and suggested I purchase a new Liftmaster opener from them and left me with a $96 invoice or the option for a new $400+ opener. After he left, I looked closer and noticed that the black U shaped part of the RPM sensor was pulled away from the circuit board. A quick Google search and $9.75 later, I had one in my hand. It literally took me less than 3 minutes to install the part and the opener now works just fine. In short, very disappointed that the technician really offered no help and didn’t notice what I, a novice, noticed. A $96 lesson learned.

We received excellent service from Norms. We had an emergency situation with a truck stuck in the garage. They squeezed us in between other appts on the same day with no hesitation. It was a fast and inexpensive repair. We would highly recommend them!

On Tuesday January 12 Rich the Fixer came to our home and fixed an issue with the door track. We had the overhead broken spring fixed a few weeks prior but, the door itself was opening and closing very rough. Rich found 2 bolts were sticking out to far and replaced them and greased everything again. There was no charge because of warranty !! Set an appointment online at 5PM and had a tech here at 8AM the next day. It wasnt an emergency as I could still manually open my door, but it was nice to have it fixed so fast. I called Norms door service to have a commercial warehouse garage door replaced and two walk-in doors replaced. This was in May of this year. A guy came out and measured everything up and I never heard from them again. I called and left messages and emailed him but no response. Thankfully their competition is more than happy to take our money.

Lousy Office Support. Called 2 weeks ago and was told a Tech would stop by to do a field measure for a new garage door the next day. He will call ahead and they would email a quote. No call, no show, no quote. Call again this week, same routine, but this time the tech didnt call, but just showed up. Left work to meet up with him, and 4 days later still no quote or call from the office on pricing. I dont chase businesses down to give them my work and money.

Never have I had a technician like MIKE come to my house before. Long story short; I had a company come look at my garage door that was stuck open. That guy told me my spring was broke. I had gotten them replaced two years ago (by Norms). The gentleman was very nice and told me they were probably still under warranty. So he unhooked the cables to close my garage door for me and I paid him for his service call.I called Norms and told the customer service person what the guy said and gave her my information. She did inform me they were still under warranty. Great! She is sending a technician the next day. Then MIKE shows up. He was so argumentative and defensive. He looks at the door and barks at me your springs are not broken. I tell him what the other guy told me. He then says, its your cables and there broken, this is not going to be a warranty job. I then tell him, the other guy unhooked the cables so he could close the door. He barks at me who is the other company?Really? How unprofessional! So I say to MIKE, Im just telling you what the other guy told me! I dont know a thing about garage doors. So he says, the guy yesterday didnt fix it because you have a side Lyft opener. Then proceeds to tell me, but I can fix it. He goes out to his van and drives away. He was the absolute rudest, most unprofessional technican I have ever met or had in my home.Then he tells the customer service people at Norms that I refused to pay. Hahahaha!Also a liar. I would never recommend this company you might get MIKE.

Work was fine, but he charged way too much labor for 20 minutes of work.

They scheduled me within 24 hours and after I paid the tech he left through the back gate, but came back with his impact driver and tightened a loose bolt on the gate. Great family owned business dedicated to traditional customer service.

These guys are lazy and just want to sell you something instead of doing the job. They want you to do all the prep work for them and heaven forbid they should have to move anything because thats just to much for them to do. This is a terrible place to try and work with.

The company came out to my house three times within two weeks, the second and third times they brought the wrong size spring. They said they would call when the right size spring came in. They never called. When I finally called them they said they had no record of what their technicians did or the size spring I need, although they acknowledged they had come out three times. They said it would take two additional service calls to fix my garage door, one to check on the spring size and then they had to come back out to install it. So it takes 5 visits to fix regular suburban garage door?!.

They did an amazing and quick job and acted very professionally with a very fair price. Overall I was very happy with this company.

Replaced two operators with Norms top of the line recommended product (Liftmaster 8550). Installer showed up late without the necessary parts. Installer left reporting he would return with correct parts. Norms door service wanted to charge a service call for installer coming out to replace the operators and bring the previously paid for repeaters. Installer was unable to get the doors operating with my vehicles (they knew what I had in advance. On researching the problem I discovered this company should have known the programming solution as it was a known problem--they didnt. Tried to get warranty service within warranty period--no joy--smug people. Go to a big box store.

My family has always used Norms in the past and been very happy, so thats who we called when our garage door broke. A very nice technician came out and spoke to me and after about 5 minutes, we agreed that we wanted to replace our unit. Unfortunately the technician had just used his last one on the previous job and said he would have to come back the next day with the part. No problem, UNTIL he informed me that he was required to collect a service charge for the 5 minutes he was there and that it would NOT be applied to our overall bill. After doing some research and talking with some friends, this is a common complaint with Norms. I spoke to the people in the office and eventually they were willing to work out a deal where I would recoup most of that money, but by that time I had arranged for another company to do the work and I have no desire to give my business to a company that operates this way. They can keep my service fee, but I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. Hopefully it was worth losing the $400+ and any future business/recommendations.

Installers gored nine holes in my door accidently and made it look like heck. I couldnt get them to talk to me about fixing it, reducing the price or anything. Could not even get an email returned. I would not recommend them at all.
