This is the first time I have ever written a review for anything, but as a business owner myself, I feel compelled. I have always highly recommended Savory Spice to all my friends and easily spend hundreds of dollars a year there. So much so that my sister in law purchased a $25 gift certificate for me . Never purchase one through corporate because it is very difficult to use in the store. I cannot blame the owner for the problem, although I did have to call back several weeks later to discover my status. My credit card was credited leaving a little over $2 on the certificate. I returned to purchase more for easily 5 times what was left. I was told all I needed was the 9 digit code from the gift card but when I went to check out, the owner told me I also needed to find the certificate. It was somewhere in my emails but I couldnt find it because it was sent months ago, although I did send it to her when I was in originally with it and she knew exactly the amount left. The owner told me that because I couldnt produce it, I couldnt use the remaining $2 and some odd cents! Really?? If this happened in my business, I would have pulled out the $2 and some odd cents from my billfold, especially since the customer was spending 5 times more there that day! Now the unfortunate result is me telling more people this experience than how much I love the product.

Incredibly helpful and nice people. Wide selection of spices for chicken, beef, pork. I would definitely recommend going here over penzys spices.

Savory Spice Shop has most every spice, herb, or herb blend that you could possibly think of. Their products are gluten free which is a huge blessing when you have to eat gluten free. The staff is always very helpful. They are the best spice shop in town.

My first time in the store. The owner was really helpful. I came in for one thing, I left with seven things. Cant wait to try my new flavors.

I went there Thursday afternoon. I got there around 4:40 p.m. Both their website AND the sign on the door said open until 6 p.m. on Thursdays. They were closed up tighter than a drum! No sign on the door saying Sorry, we had to close early, NOTHING! I even called them from the parking lot, got their answering machine, and it confirmed their hours yet again. BOY I WAS TICKED! I had just driven 20 miles to get 1 specific spice on my way out of town for a friend...GRRR!Not a good way to practice business people.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being open during these times. I was able to get the rubs I was low on yesterday and get ribs ready for he weekend. I love the employees and how helpful everyone is. Thank you again Julie T.

I cant come to Omaha and not stop here!!! I love this place. Being able to smell each spice is wonderful and the ability to buy is smaller quantities is perfect. The staff is always helpful and friendly - as well as patient as I often but a sizable variety in small quantities.

I stopped with a couple of friends who were looking for a couple of different spices and while I was looking around I found a jar of celery seeds. I have always looked for them in store but found them to high priced for a little can. This was a nice size jar for a great price.

This place is awesome... and because of that my wife wont let me shop here by myself! So many spices, so little time. The best part is you can get spice refills when you run out or just buy bigger jars and fill those. The labels peel right off the refill bags so you can stick them to your jars.

The Rockbrook Thu night farmers market was more fun because of the pulled pork sandwiches made with their spices. The couple that run the shop are very nice and personable. Thanks for the treats!!

Visited the store today for the first time. I was wonderfully surprised at the variety of herbs and spices! Prices very good also. I was a long time Penzeys customer ( 20+ years) until Bill Penzeys started his wild political rants and poor business practices.I will not miss Penzeys for a minute. Savory Spice Shop has everything I need....And more.Customer service excellent. Prices good and spices so fresh. They have unusual blends of spices also and sensible gift packs. Please go give them a try. You wont be sorry.
