Staff was very knowledgeable. Novice guitar player with lots of questions. Explained selection and price points of guitars. Explained guitar preferences and why. Explained what to look for a personal fit and advised on options. Great guidance for accessories picks etc. Was a great visit.

I just started playing the guitar. They were busy and understaffed when I arrived, however a sales associate Jeff, was super helpful. He asked me about my budget and helped me find the right guitar for me. He was super knowledgeable and very helpful. As I was checking out another associate gave me advice about playing my own type of music and putting my own soul into the guitar. Thank you to everyone who helped me with my new instrument. I recommend here for all your guitar needs!

Cool place. I’ll usually shop at smaller stores before I go to a chain, but they’ve got a huge selection and prices are never higher than market value. I’ll stop in from time to time. Some of their miscellaneous stuff is pretty neat, musical themed or branded Christmas ornaments, key racks, mouse pads, you name it. It’s fun to find stuff to decorate my music space.

I have been trying to purchase a guitar since June 26 the delivery date keeps getting bumped back then they cancel my order this has happened twice. I will be going elsewhere from today forward.

Ordered Online for Pick Up after calling to confirm item was in stock ( SHURE 215 Sound Isolating Earphones ). Once I completed my order and received my confirmation # I called store just to confirm and to make sure order went through. I was told that yes the order went through and could come pick up my order. Not even 5 minutes later I received an email telling me my order was canceled.With that being said once I arrived at the store the Manager took care of the issue and gave me a discount for my purchase.

Upon check out after deflecting far to many attempts at pro coverage, the card reader was not working. Took me to pro audio to check out and the price jumped 20 dollars. When I asked why, the sales clerk says his manager made him add it for the gig bag. The product clearly states gig bag included. I understand the need for businesses to upsell but this was down right over charging and doing it hoping the customer would not notice. We walked from the sale and store and will not return. The sales tactics are terrible. Buyer beware. Far more customer friendly music stores in Omaha.

Amazing customer service, fixed our issue 3 feet inside the door for free. We had previously gone to Best Buy and Nebraska Furniture Mart for a part that we ended up not even needing.

This seems to be the place to go for guitar needs. I have taken people there from all sides of town and even traveling artists. They are always in and out with what they need.

Purchased a used electric guitar as a gift. Did the transaction online. Correspondence with the online representative was good. On this particular item they were not willing to deal. They wanted 699.00 I think I asked for 675.00 out the door. (my recall on the bottom line might be off...It may have cost more? I do know I asked for 25 bucks off.) They explained they could not work with me due to it being a used item. Guessing they have their margins on used items. No problem. I thought the guitar was solid. Perhaps slightly overpriced.Setup was okish. Not sure they did anything to it and to be fair, I did not ask.My first time in, they were very helpful. When I went to pick up the guitar, they struggled to locate it since I had purchased it online. Not a huge deal. I believe somebody took it down and put it in back for me.The website appears to be updated daily. This item was not permitted to be sold until the day I bought it. It did check it out in the store but could not locate it online until the first day it was available. If you are looking for a used item, it might be worth visiting the store to see what is pending for availability.Why not 5 stars? If they through in some pics, cheap gig bag....maybe. Spending 700 is not a HUGE sale. Maybe I am expecting to much?

Place looked like a dump. I must have had my invisibility shield on judging by the attention the staff paid. Six employees. One customer. You need a ladder to see the guitars.

Out of all the music stores I have been to and heard of, Guitar center is by far the best with the best selection, best staff, and cleanest shop. The stuff in each department is so knowledgeable and can help you find the exact item you need. Theyre selection will help you feel like you are really picking the best instrument for you to best use your talent. The store is always clean and organized and well sectioned. Absolute best place for anything music.

It is a great place for any instrument, the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. They have anything from cheap basic guitars, to high quality professional dj sets and keyboards. Ordered a guitar online that was shipped here from the Dallas, TX store. When I went to pick it up, the guy at the register checked out other people who had arrived after me (I guess I get that, my order would take a minute to go get), but I definitely could have done without the snooty attitude that went with it. I get that I am a middle-aged white lady who obviously has no business playing guitar (/s), so Ill spend my money elsewhere the next time I want some new gear.On the other side - there was an issue with my order (a piece was missing), the online help at Guitar Centers website was EXTREMELY helpful and got that issue resolved within 5 minutes and the part is being shipped directly to me. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars.

They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff who are willing to talk about all sorts of dimensions of musical instruments. The staff Ive encountered are very patient and have been excited to help. I felt like I was talking to employees who were willing to teach and not be condescending about their profession. It was nice to be welcomed and educated!

I wish I knew the two guys that I always see working there when Im in. The one is a guitar repair man. They both are really cool guys. They both help with the best of their knowledge and only try to sell you want you need or want. They never try to push a sale on you. The guitar repair man not only restrung my BC Rich Warlock but also tuned and cleaned it while I was walking around the store.

A wide selection of instruments with a knowledgeable staff. I am not sure about pricing.One major thing holding them back in my eyes is their trade-in values. Where local shops were offering me $180 in trade-in, they offered $132. I understand that they are a large company that has to set standards, but that is a mountain of difference.

This place is amazing! They have every guitar you could ever want, or access to one! The people who work here are actually guitarists themselves, so they can help you with most things. The Technician who works on the guitars is also great! He really knows how to fix & take care of the guitars. Weve taken ours in for restringing & check-ups. He heads done a great job!

Maybe when you say you’ll grab a potentiometer for me don’t help other people after that? You could have just pointed to the wall and I would have found out myself you are out of the 25k ones. The other kid didn’t even know what they were lol. I get that it’s Guitar Center and not a botique or smaller store with knowledgeable staff, but still no excuse to ignore me.

Customer service is hit or miss. Some employees are great, others are useless. One guy in particular is oblivious to what good customer service means. I walked in the store and up to the counter. His back was towards me, while he strummed a guitar. He eventually looked over his shoulder and arrogantly said “can you come around here?” I did, thinking there was a good reason. Nope. He just felt like the customer should accommodate him, not the other way around. Then he gets more puffy and arrogant. Needless to say, I bought a guitar at another store that day. They lost a sale over a moron at the front desk.

Update your hours! Got to your store and had a sign that said not open till noon... Your loss, ordering my Takamine from Amazon. Probably got a better price anyway.

Great atmosphere. Awesome people. I recently had my guitar repaired there. Im happy they recommended the insurance when I bought my guitar because I ended up needing it when the air got dry and caused a crack in it. No hassles at all on my claim. They got on the repair immediately. Im satisfied with the work they did. 😊👍

My daughter lives this place. At five years old, she will spend an hour picking guitars, banging on drums, playing on the keyboard s and singing/ dancing. We are both careful of the equipment and other customers. The staff enjoy seeing her love music. My hope is that it might build her interest in music enough that she might learn to play an instrument add she gets older and If so then Thurs is where I will get it at. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and you can check out what you are buying before you spend more than to planned on all the great deals.

Staff not once asked me if I needed help and I was interested in a Jimmy Page telecaster they had on the top shelf and not one person offered to help me. So I left with 1400.00 still in my pocket thanks guitar center for looking out for my best interest

Music people beware - this is a place you could spend a lot of money! My husband visits Guitar Center at least once a month as he is part of the monthly Strings Club. He gets one pack of strings every month. While there he has a chance to see some new product or sell some gently used amps/guitars.

We drove 75 miles to get my wifes dads guitar fixed and tuned... And they said they dont have anyone employed to do repairs. Their website said they do repairs. Thats why we drove there. And the hand sanitizer they MADE us use SMELLED LIKE ROTTEN FOOD! Never going back......

Got cool stuff if only the people you ask a question to were cool! One guy was cool but he played violin or something, but if your a beginner or come off as one, the guitarist help seem like there to good to help a beginner! Felt rushed & left with no clear answers!

Ive been shopping at this guitar center since literally day one. We stood in line all night for their grand opening. The excitement of the store moving in fell away quickly as staff became less caring over time. Most recently I purchased a Gretsch from them. They were able to ship the limited edition guitar I wanted faster than the local stores, so I went in to try a similar guitar out. I asked a staff member to help me get the guitar off the wall and was met with dont you come in here all the time and make me get guitars down for you? Valid point, I am in a lot, and I do like to play as much gear as I want. That being said, I do not remotely appreciate the time taken with me when I was coming into this store to spend $1600 with them. I have bought plenty of stings, cables, and accessories over the years, and I can say that this store probably wont be getting my business anytime soon because of this, and some other experiences. I wish I would have given the purchase of my guitar to a local shop, to be completely honest. Even if that meant waiting an additional 2 weeks.

Has a good selection of guitars and much more things, most of the times we found what we looking for. They can do especial orders too. Personnel were attentive. Our order for an electric guitar will take 6 weeks to arrive, that is a long time but hope it worth the waiting.

The personnel are very educated in being able to assist you with every musical need you may have. I have had some work done to my guitar and find that they are very reasonable with repair service. They are dedicated in creating a relationship that will create a customer to feel comfortable with a return visit. They inspect all used equipment so that the customer can feel confident in whatever it is that they purchase. An awesome place to shop for your musical needs. Highly recommend giving them a chance to help everyone.

One Guitar Center employee was working 3 areas of your store. To his credit, he was doing good, but to the consumer time is money as we all know. Maybe low volume of sales, having to cut hours or what, another set of hands would of helped. Even if it was Sunday.I love the store, and make presents known a minimum of 2 days a week. I’ll go in talk with your staff, saying what’s up, then playing a guitar or bass. 90% of the time I’m there, I’ll make new friends or have a similar interest that leads to talking and laughing, with fellow musicians. Many of times there will be someone standing back, or right up on me listening to me riff out. I do have the Metal/Punk/Post grunge/all original looking about me.Ya, I fun at Guitar Center in Omaha,NE.Hey, you can always hire me! I’m a ball of energy that can strike up a conversation with anybody!

I buy most of my music stuff here. They have a good selection of everything here, decent prices even for the high quaility stuff. Recomend this place over anything else right now, but it still makes me miss Russos.

Newbys with loads of questions the knowledgeable staff helped us pick out the best fit - not the most expensive - for us. They even gave us cases for the bass and guitar we purchased. Look forward to learning and utilizing this business in the future. Great place for all levels!

First visit, took half an hour to get someone to help me checkout with a guitar and amp, but when he finally did he was friendly.Second visit to return the guitar as it was poorly set up and I didn’t want the hassle with getting them to set it up and for it to be no better as with my precious experience at a different GC. Same member of staff did the refund - told me that if I had played as long as him maybe I wouldn’t make mistakes like buying the wrong guitar and I would know what I was doing. I suspect I’ve been playing guitar longer than he’s been alive.Never going back.

I recently purchased new tone and volume pots for my guitar, as well as a 3 way toggle switch off of amazon. I took my guitar into guitar center so a guitar tech could properly install them. When I got there to pick up the guitar, not only did it not work, but they had replaced the three way switch that I had purchased from amazon. This was a switch of lesser quality, and they even charged me for it.At the end of the day I had paid well over a hundred dollars for a rewire job. Two guitar techs worked on my guitar, and it still doesnt even work. I was not offered any compensation for my time or for their awful work. I absolutely will never use guitar center for any gear ever again. I am sure there is a small guitar store somewhere else that deserves my business.Dont go here for repairs. Watch a youtube video and youll probably have more experience than their techs do.UPDATE: After contacting the manager I was given a full refund.

Great selection of guitars. Very competitive prices. Some of the employees have their moments but the managers here have bent over backwards for me every time i needed something. I try to buy here instead of other retailers whenever possible.

I had an older keyboard that they bought from me at a fair cost and the people that I worked with seemed to be very knowledgeable and very friendly and they have tons of things you can test out before you buy and a huge selection of all different types of musical instruments and equipment

Im only giving it a 3 stars because I like the store and they have a decent selection. But customer service was not great at all. My friend and I went to buy a guitar and was not once offered any help. We were in the store for a good twenty minutes looking around but not a single employee came our way.

The Walmart of music shops. You can probably find something like what your looking for. Its nice to have a place to go that has experts for advice. Its less nice when you get help from one of their non experts in the wrong section. Upon returning the wrong cables purchased under advice from said non-expert the actual expert was available to give actual useful and helpful advice to make sure the correction was the best setup.Thank you guitar center experts. Not as much for the guys in the wrong department.

I needed earplugs for a concert. I was shown exactly where to find them, told a few differentiating features, and purchased quickly. I am not a core customer (nonmusician) but I would go back if they have something I need.

Terrance the guitar repair guy is awesome. Well trained, educated and helpful. The selection of stuff seems to be more limited than in the past. Still my favorite place to go in town.

Summer kitchen has great food and great service. The best thing on the menu is the chicken fried chicken. They also have a scooters strive though if youre a coffee drinker.

My band uses Guitar Centers rehearsal studios weekly. The staff is always very friendly, courteous, helpful, and supportive. They are both very professional and personal in the way they serve our music needs. They treat us like family!

Wanted to get a mixer for my keyboard and there was a really good sale that ended before I could afford to purchase it. The guy that helped me, Branson, was super helpful and signed me up for a credit card so I could get the deal, and he was even able to get me 12 month financing on a $100 purchase!

The guitar center has a great selection of guitars to try out. The prices are decent and you should be able to get a something you like. They can order as well. The sales people are helpful and dont try to upsell their products unless they think it might help you.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Whatever your skill level is they can meet all of your music needs. This place has everything you need that has 4, 6, or 12 strings.
