Finally a place to buy a boat trailer and any parts I need where they treat you like a human and appreciate ones business. Been there 4 different occassions and every time they take care of my needs. The prices are also very reasonable. They even helped me carry the stuff to my truck because my arm was hurt and i couldnt do it myself. 7
I’m more than happy with my new boat trailer. Torsion axles, led all over and a great service at a fair price. Joseph really cares. Rock & roll trailers really rocks!
Update 1: 1 trailer tire blew while I was on the highway and I had to put on a spare to get home. I read the max load ratings on the tires and they read 2470lbs for dual. With 4 tires, thats 9880lbs total max for all the trailer tires. My boat is around that weight, and possibly more when full of gas and gear. Why would they use these tires for a trailer that is supposed to have a higher max rating?Update 2: Rock & Roll Trailers reached out to me since posting my first review and offered to try to address the issues (prior to my tire blowing out). However they want me to drive 4 hours there and 4 hours back with the trailer/boat, which I do not feel comfortable doing at this point. So Im not sure there will be a solution to these problems unless they come to me or I find a local trailer place to fix the issues.Original Review: I really want to like Rock & Roll Trailers. They seemed to me like good people who were going to pay attention to detail and get my boat trailer right. Unfortunately, the end result was that there were (and still are) many things wrong with the trailer that was built for my boat. It was as if they built my trailer without ever having seen the boat. A few issues include:1) The center beams were too short. The first time I drove my boat onto the trailer, the boat rode right up onto the center beams, bending the wood and breaking the beam. This could have scratched my hull. They were nice enough to send me replacement beams that were taller, but I had to drill and install them myself. And I know nothing about mounting beams.2) The second time I drove onto the trailer, the center beams bent completely inward. The trailer was built with no cross beam support, so they were too weak for my heavier boat. I was told theyve never seen that happen before. But I looked at other catamaran trailers for my particular boat, and they ALL have cross beams in the center to support the inward force.3) The front vertical beam that holds the trailer wench seems to be too far forward and too short. When I try to wench my boat forward, instead of pulling the boat directly forward, it pulls my boat downward, pulling the front end of the boat down and the back end up. This causes a lot of pressure on that beam, leading it to start cracking and the bolts to bend. The screws holding the wench bent because of this, as well as a crack in the bottom of the beam where its welded to the plate. Basically if you tighten your wench when you drive the boat up on the trailer, when you pull it out of the water, the weight of the boat is pulling the wench upward because of how low the beam is. Not good.4) The front ladder is way too far away from the boat and is useless. There is no way to climb the ladder to get onto the boat, which is the whole point of the ladder. It could be fixed by adjusted it closer, but I cant adjust it closer because then the low wench on that ladder beam would pull the boat down even further, making that worse.5) The front tire cap upon receiving the trailer was broken and lubricant was leaking out, I had to replace it. Not a big deal, but again, its a brand new trailer why should I be replacing things right away.Id still like to give Rock & Roll Trailers the opportunity to fix the outstanding issues on my boat. But as it stands, how they left me on my own to address these issues, I cannot recommend them.I just wish my boat trailer and attention to detail was taken more seriously. My boat is in Orlando and they are in Miami, so I can understand their unwillingness to come and fix the issues, but when you pay $7-10k for a brand new trailer youd like the builder to get it right. I would not have had a problem if Rock & Roll Trailers would have just came and addressed these issues when I made them aware of them. Instead they just sent me parts and expected me to do it myself. And as I continue to use the trailer, I continue to discover things that are wrong as I discussed above.
Never go back again to that place. I went to fix an electrical problem in my trailer, and I left the place with more than one problem. They dont know anything about electricity. Very bad job.
My trailer hub broke while traveling thru Miami.Rock and Roll Trailers got me back on the road really fast. I’m very thankful for their customer service!
Once again Yousef Aka Joe and his team came through again.Shop moved around corner and has impressive 2 new bays for fabricating and servicing trailersTrailer needed new leaf springs and hubs and all was done in one day once he had springs. Boat had to to be removed since I couldnt bring trailer by itself which is a big job and price was fair for all the work.Wouldnt go or trust anyone else to do work. His new receptionist is Great and gets back to you when you have to LM or text.He also stocks every trailer part for diyers
Left a deposit, received a call my material was ready for pickup.Arrived next day, nothing was done, was told to come back later.I came down from Ft Lauderdale.,!Got my deposit back. I would not recommend
Simply one of the best experiences with any company. All trailer repairs completed in half a day on a Sunday that allowed our trip happen. Definitely recommend.
I totally recommend this place, good attention, the owner is very nice, good prices
I do not recommend this place to anyone. Very informal and has a very unprofessional way to conduct business. Since may 4th that I paid my deposit, I’ve been given four different days to pick up my new trailer and I’m going home today (the fourth day) without the trailer AGAIN and with another reschedule. It’s been a month now since my deposit was paid and still no trailer. I do not recommend this place.
I didn’t have a good experience with these folks, they were informal and seemed disinterested in helping me with my trailer issues. The shop is located in opa-locka which made the experience even worse. Do not recommend at all.
Best trailer ever i love you guys
Very helpful and willing to guide you weather you spend 500 or 5000.
Great place, amazing people, and best prices Ive seen by far
Great trailer and excellent pricing
Great service nice people, super cheap parts! Can’t believe I never seen this place.
These guys are first rate. I needed a 35 contender transported from Cape Coral Florida to Miami at the last minute, Yusef was great to deal with, his trailers are top notch, and did a great job, I highly recommend them and their trailers, wish we had more people like him.
Yusef is Da man. Cant complain about anything on my trailer or his dealings with me. I am now ordering a new trailer for my son, bigger and more Heavy Duty than mine. Great job!
Dont even bother going with anyone else, Joseph is hands down the best in South Florida in the trailer business. Professional from beginning to the end. Made the process very easy with prices you cant find anywhere else. I will highly recommend Rock and Roll Trailers to anyone looking for quality trailers.-Alex
I need to be able to put more stars, in other words these guys seriously outdid themselves on my custom trailer I was pretty pickey and wanted a lot of add ons and they made it happen for exactly the best price anywhere on the east coast also best customer service experience hands down 10/10 would recommend
Bad place to do business. I do not recommend it.
I had a wonderful experience. The owner of this place potentially saved our vacation to the keys. We were on our way to lobster and before we left a tire blew. We replaced all four tires since we had a 8 hr trip to Miami to avoid any issues on Sat we ended up leaving at 6pm. Late!! We didnt get to our hotel until almost two am. We pulled in and backed trailer into parking space axle broke right off. The next day a Sunday we called everybody that we could for the part. We found Rock n Roll Trailers that afternoon and he had the part we needed nobody else did. He drove down from Miami and fixed it. We made it to Key West around midnight and we were able to salvage our Monday of lobstering. Thank you Rock and Roll trailers you saved our vacation.
I snapped an axle on Sunday, July 23rd, on the turnpike just north of Miami while traveling from Tampa to Key West. Joseph was the only person to pick up his phone on Sunday afternoon. We made arrangements and Monday morning he picked up all the parts needed for my Continental trailer and sent his technician Molina to the hotel where the boat was towed and we were staying. Joseph dropped off all the parts needed for my repair and Molina did an outstanding job removing the worn out parts and putting on the new ones...absolutely perfect. They literally rebuilt the entire bottom of my trailer: carriers, springs, axles, hubs, rims/tires, and all hardware. They had me on the road to Key West that afternoon....losing less than a day of our vacation. This is what blew me away: they charged me less than I wouldve paid in Tampa for the job in a drop-off-for-maintenance situation. These guys are awesome. Joseph is honest and fair...treats you like youve been doing business for years...and Molina is a superb technician. Thank you again Joseph for taking care of me during a tough time. I feel like I made two new friends and have a like like-new trailer.
Great people great service
After searching and getting quotes from many other trailer builders from mid to south Florida, I decided to go with Yusef due to his willingness to answer all of my questions, yes Im a picky buyer and his trailer reviews on google and other sites. His price was right on with his quality of work and not to mention that he went out of the way to repair my old trailer (free of charge) in order for me to transport my boat to his shop. Great guy, great customer service and unbeatable price...cant expect much more than that! Thanks Yusef!
Called several places and this place was by far the most friendly and knowledgeable. Great prices too
I called Rock and Roll Trailers for an estimate and the owner (Janothon) gave me a great price for replacing all four drums and springs on my 13 year old boat trailer..... I got the trailer back in four hours as he said he would. I find Janothon as a professional that loves his work and without a doubt knows his work. Thank you for a great job, Im sure I wont be seeing you for a long time, but wanted to express my gratitude for your professionalism with me....
Yusef is amazing. His prices are extremely good. And he makes everything in quality NO short cuts. He came to the Keys and measured my boat then built a tri axle trailer that fits my boat like a glove. On the way up the road from the Keys there was a brake actuator issue that was a factory defect not a builders defect(they dont make the brake parts they put them all together). I called Yusef at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and not only did he answer his phone but was on the road instantly. He goes by his shop and picks up another new actuator then drives all the way to me and I am 4 hours North on I-95. He pulls in at 12:23 am with the new actuator. He takes mine apart and finds the mechanical problem with it and actually takes the time to show to me and explain exactly what the failure was. As I said a factory defect not a Rock & Roll trailer defect. He installs the new actuator in minutes and we take the boat trailer on a 40 mile round trip test drive just because he knows I still have another 700 miles to get home and wants to make sure EVERYTHING is perfect. And remember this is the guy who owns the company that came out on a Saturday night into Sunday morning doing this and he still has to drive back home home. I mean show me one guy anywhere that does that for a customer. He got my wife and I back on the road and as far as I am concerned there is ONLY ONE TRAILER BUILDER in Florida. All my future trailers will come from Rock & Roll.Thank you sir,Don Stoner
They took care of me and got me back on the road. My husband and axle went out @ 5:30 on a Saturday so I was concerned but they are open 24/7. Highly recommend.
Very professional and honest, on time, no bs, Yusef is always willing to answer your calls and text messages . I would highly recommend his shop!
Amazing service mr.yusef was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Even shared a few stories with me as he genuinely assisted me with my issue
I first met Yusef, the owner, thru my boat mechanic. My boat mechanic, Hector, of GL Marine advised that Yusef and his staff built a custom trailer for him which was superior to anything else. Well, my trailer, a Continental, broke an axle after 10 years. The Continental that I had was made with galvanized u-bolts which caused the trailer to rust thru the axle and snapped. I took my trailer to Yusef just for some repairs but when he told me what all that was wrong with my trailer (corroded bolts because Continental was built with inferior hardware, leaf springs corroded, bunks needing replacement, etc) that it was going to cost a lil over $1200 to get it the trailer right.I then asked what a new trailer was going to cost? He told me that the cost would be approx $2,800 BUT the new trailer would not only have torsil (sp?) suspension (to reduce maintenance), all stainless steel hardware and would be customized for my boat. I was pleasantly surprised by his price and really wanted to replace the trailer completely because it was never right from the beginning. And the maintenance on the leaf springs every couple of years was expensive! In addition, my boat was always difficult to get off and on the trailer since I purchased it with the boat.At this point I asked what about my current trailer, what can I do to get rid of it? Yusef replied that IF I wanted to buy a new trailer, he would fix the minimum on my old trailer and I could sell it. I really wasnt excited to sell a trailer that really wasnt quite right nor did I have any idea how to get rid of it. I asked Yusef was there any other options and said that he would take my trailer on trade for a fair price and he would sell it. I was Ecstatic!I then asked, how long would it take? He told me that it would be a couple of weeks but that he would repair my old trailer so that I could continue to use it until my new trailer was built. What a problem solver! He also said that if I did buy a trailer from him, that I could always count on him for assistance should I break down or need help. WOW!After a couple of weeks, Yusef called and stated that he was ready to build my trailer and it would be a couple of days for the build. He called me, I brought my boat and his staff took several hours to custom fit the new trailer to my boat. What a beautiful trailer he built for me. I could not be happier!!!! The entire transaction went extremely smooth and Yusef is a stand up guy. You can really trust him.So a couple of months go by and I have problem with my lights. Of course I thought it was their fault but I had changed my vehicle and the running lights would not work. Blinkers worked and brake lights worked but no running lights. I called him after a day of fishing in miami and told Yusef the problem. He said bring it by immediately (unscheduled) and he would look at it for me. After a quick diagnosis, Yusef discovered that the problem was not with the trailer but my vehicle. He helped me diagnose the problem and showed me how easy it would be to replace a fuse. He wouldnt take a dime for his troubles.I cant tell you how polite and courteous Yusef and his staff treated me. He even gave me a couple of fishing shirts that he had made for his company. What a great experience. Thank You Rock and Roll Trailers, your the best!UPDATE: Owned my trailer over a year now and trailer continues to perform great. Just had a 1 year service as a precaution cause when I bought new trailer, Yusef recommended to just have a checkup on bearings yearly instead of over-greasing bearings as I did with my last trailer. He checked out the bearings, made adjustments and very fair price for the yearly prevention. Rather come by at my convenience than have an issue when I want to have fun. No more buddy bearings and greasing on my own.About a month ago, stopped by unannounced for a minor repair when I damaged wiring harness ground. Fixed it immediately and didnt charge again for repairs. THANKS YUSEF for the great customer service.
