Good selection of clearance books. Clean store. We didnt buy anything this trip, so didnt go near the registers. Staff is usually very friendly & offer to help, however the only time we were spoken to was the greeting given when entering the store....it wasnt busy this trip.

Do not go to this place unless you want to get harassed by the manager. Asked my 5 questions took all my info when i clearly just wanted to by my book and leave. Guy needs to tone it down. Not going back

If you ask for frappe, with almond milk. They add the almond milk to it,but they use a mix for the coffee base and it is half/half.

I would rather not see books with offensive titles in a prominent place or books and art with creepy covers in the childrens area.

Friendly staff, great store, nice selection of products. Only complaint is the prices are a bit on the higher end, but when theyve got what youve been searching for for ages, its worth it.

I know Im a very particular customer when Im doing these reviews. But I hope that I come across with constructive criticism;but yall at the Books-A-Million in Auburn/ Opelika Alabama, you got to step up your A Game! Was there anyone in there working? They sure werent going to let anybody know it. Your supposed to treat the last customer just the same as your 1st. All the stock out front was unattended. There was nothing inviting about the store inside or out. Not like the location on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, Ca. There are the environment is always Lively and warm and inviting.Just the kind of place you want to delve into a good book. Itbfelt like a mausoleum at that store!

My daughter started grad school at Auburn (don’t get me started) and I got here early. I had to kill some time so stopped here to look around. We don’t have a BAM in Tuscaloosa. I miss this store. Great variety and good coffee. I wish we could get BAM back. Brings me back.

There are some authors and books that arent carried in-store, but they can be ordered and picked up. Theres a nice variety of things here and I can see myself spending a lot of time here.

Idk if its just me, but I still get so excited walking through a bookstore. They have a lot to choose from, and of course they have the coffee shop. What could be better?

Im disabled and use a mobility push scooter. The staff was very nice and courteous even though I only bought a cup of coffee. Reminder, this is in the middle of the pandemic.

I love this store. The prices are great!! They have books, calendars, toys, clothes (tee-shirts), religious items, magazines and a ton of other items. The sales are great!! I got an awesome calendar/date book for $3.00!! I go to Books-A-Million every chance I get!!

Great employees but a bit pricey

Always a great selection, I have yet to not find what I was looking for. Sometimes a bit pricey for the same or comparable items online but if you want or need your selection immediately the little bit of up upcharge is worth not having to wait as well as not having to pay shipping.

I was a customer yrs ago when I lived in another state. I just found this one. Well stocked, nice cafe but was in a hurry so didnt try it this time. Menu looked great. The only negative I had was a hard sell when checking out. My husband just passed away so until things get settled, money is scarce. He was polite but. I had to keep telling him no.

Dont know what the deal was with the staff my last visit. Several people on different occasions had to search for someone to check them out at the register.We ourselves had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come to the register.Still, the store was clean and the shelves were probably the most organized Ive ever seen them, and everyone was friendly (when you could find them.)

Always spend hours in here enjoying the quiet atmosphere and the smell of coffee and books. The staff is very helpful and informative. The bargain section is always full of good finds, organized by genre, and is never cluttered. Coming here always brightens my day!

This book store is the best of many. They have the books carefully organized, and the staff is always happy to help. I asked for a book and she looked for about 2 minutes and found the last one. If you need to find a good bookstore, I suggest B.A.M.

Employees were helpful, and when I went to check out the cashier was very nice despite it being a busy last minute Christmas shopping day. Made me feel like a person and not another dollar.

Cashier keeps on trying to sell me a membership card after I told him no three times. He does this everytime I shop there.What part of no does he not understand?I almost what to leave when he starts his sales pitch. I can do the math and it does not benefit me to be a member. Just be happy that I shop there! If there was another book store in town Id probably shop there.

When I came in searching for a specific book for my girlfriend, that we had spotted in the store before, I could not find it. Quickly gave the gentlemen at the front the Title, and they showed me where it had been moved to within a couple minutes. I greatly appreciate the short amount of time it took them, and there kindness to show me where it was. Especially since I had a plane to catch that night.

BAM is a cool store. I like it. There use to be chairs through out the store for customers to sit & read. Im sad that theres no where to sit anymore. Now, you have to walk all the way to the back of the store near the magazines to have a seat or Joes Coffee shop.I also think the store could use a make over. An upgrade would be nice.

Went there to get a book for my son for school. The app showed the book was in stock at that store but we couldnt find it so we asked for help. They looked in the same place we did on the shelf and it wasnt there. A few minutes later she came back and said they had 2 copies of the book but the books were in a box in the back room so they couldnt help us with it. We drove 30 miles to their store to get a book that they had in stock and they couldnt go to the back room and look for it. If it had been on the shelf the employee would have been glad to help because it was easy, but the moment it wasnt an easy solution the answer was Sorry, I cant help you. I will not shop this store again and will not recommend it to others.

Came in to enjoy a coffee and read a book in quiet. The staff at the Joe Muggs talked extremely loud the whole time I was here.. Positive is that the bathrooms were nice and clean

Generally pleasant staff, nice selection, super happy they got records since Hastings closed. They keep the area nice and clean and most things are easy to find.

Always loved books a million. The times I can just go in grab a book and sit at the cafe and read are always relaxing.

This place is a beacon of light in my trips to town. The establishment is cozy, but not loosing its bright, content air. The coffee corner here is a Joes Muggs shop. The employees are never impolite, and work in a swift manner that never fells too hasty. They offer coffee, pastries, and smoothies for the summer. The prices arent outrageous and you always get what you paid for. The book store itself is also very enjoyable. The general novels, at least currently, are located nearest the coffee shop. They are kept organized and neat, and never uninviting. Among the other genres that are worth mentioning are classics, young adult fiction, sci-fi, mystery, religion, sports, and history, but of course there is ample more. Towards the middle there are the games and kids sections. The games range from Settlers of Catan, to Cards Against Humanity, and mostly everything else you could want. The kids section has books, toys, and games, so there is a good chance of finding something to entertain any child.

Decent selection of books but they arent well organized. Gentleman checking us out was way too pushy with the BAM membership scam and has been every time I have been in and seen him. I would advise going pretty much anywhere else.

I will always have a weakness for barnes and noble, being in one is always so comforting, surrounded by books and media. I wasnt able to buy anything that day but I found out they sell vinyl records and Im excited to go back and get one or a set

Worst book store ever. Had a sale for a penny a page per book and allowed several hundred customers before me to receive the discount on multiple books but limited mine to one about 2 minutes before I made it to the register. They claimed it wasn’t something they could fix but it’s extremely disappointing and something that will keep me from returning here.

Less books and more knick-knacks. Guess in the word of internet purchases, book stores must find something else to sell. If you have teenagers, it reminded me of Spencers, a lot of t-shirts, figurines, and pop materials (comics, manga, YA). If you are looking for a million books, go to barnes and nobles, otherwise be prepared to be left wanting more...

This is a great place to read and have a cup of coffee. Huge selection of almost anything you would want to read.

From the moment you walk in the door the smell of fresh coffee has such a delicious aroma and youre automatically calm, you can browse, read, buy books, vinyl and cds, as well as candy, toys gift cards and so on. So many choices.

Love coming here to look through magazines. Inventory is so-so (Ive had to order some books online because they arent in stock). Lots of unique misc items that are good for gifts....always knick-knacks in the clearance bins. Wifi is definitely spotty...thats one of the only downsides.

Organization of books can be confusing. Changes in layout arent usually for the better. I personally dont like all the toys, non book related merchandise, and over abundance of bibles in lieu of a larger choice of books. If I want something other than a best seller I have to go to barnes and noble in columbus.

It seems to be turning into a novelty store. Books are over priced. The guy at the register is very pushy, trying to sell promotional items. You probably could find the book you were looking for, but it would be easier, and cheaper off of Amazon.

While this store does have a lot of variety and stock, the shelves are really poorly organized, often books are not in alphabetical order. The sci-fi section is really bad. But the main issue with this store is that the staff are often very pushy with the extra deals when you checkout. Today I was asked about three separate deals, and then when my purchase was complete I was told about three different coupon offers. I used to quite like this store, but Ive really lost my interest in buying anything because I dont want to have to say no to a bunch of different offers when Im getting ready to leave.
