After checkin I had about a 10 minute wait before called back. Waited another short period to see doctor. Had ear exam and then ears cleaned. Total time about 40 minutes.

Very short wait, the staff was kind, courteous. No-one had an attitude, nor treated you as if you werent important! The seating/waiting area, restroom, examination rooms were CLEAN. I am so glad I listen to family & friends and came here.

Love this office. Their office employees are friendly and diligent in their duties. Dr. Stiles in my doctor and he is AWESOME, but Im sure the other doctors are awesome, too, I just dont have experience with them. The bathrooms, lobby, and exam rooms are always clean. My only recommendation for this office is to get an early appointment. The later your appointment time is, the longer youll be waiting to be seen (in my experience). Overall, I would recommend this office to anyone.

Melissa Aaron is great!! I have been trying to get in touch with someone to help me get everything ready for my upcoming surgery for about a week now and couldn’t get a call back. I even took the time off of work and drove 30 minutes to get there and they didn’t answer any of my questions and said they would take a message. I still didn’t hear back. I kept calling and specifically asked for Melissa because I’ve heard how helpful she is. Once I got in touch with Melissa, she was very quick to help me get everything done and make sure I had everything I needed. She also answered all of my questions with no hesitation. She deserves a raise and to be recognized as the employee of the year!! 🙌🏼

Reception is polite and great doctors. Never had an issue getting an appointment when Ive needed it. Parking is difficult and sometimes there is a wait. However, they are the ONLY ENT office in the area and are great about actually speaking to patients and not just pushing you out the door. 🙃

I will never step foot into this office again. This was my first time at this office, and I completed my paper work online. Never once was I notified of any additional fees I would incur, or anything of the sort. My appointment was at 10:10, I arrived at 10:05 and was not called back into a room until 11:00. I was not seen by a doctor until 11:30, where I spent no more than 4 minutes in his presence. No tests were run, a simple check up, that was all. The area to check out was hard to find, and I almost left before I realized where the check out area was. I handed the employee my paper, she asked if I needed another appointment with my doctor. I replied no. After this, she proceeded to tell me my total for a simple conversation with the doctor after an hour an a half wait was $83. The reason for the fees were not explained clearly to me, and even if they were true, common curtesy and professionalism would advise me ahead of time, before I am seen, of the costs I would incur, or at the very least advise me of my options for payment, instead of blind sighting me with a cost. I would understand more if I were to have had a procedure done, but again, I did not. Me being a young college student four hours away from home, I would have appreciated my situation to be better explained to me, because it was apparent I was unaware of what was being told to me. I will not be returning to this office, and hope these issues would be addressed to the future patients they encounter. Visit at your own risk.

The doctors and Staff at the office were wonderful. My daughter is a student at the university and we live out of state. They were excellent with working with me across the country to help her. They arranged for her surgery to be at a time when I could be with her and she recovered wonderfully. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Dr Genetski and Dr. Whatley were wonderful to work with along with the staff at the surgery center as well.

Dr. Blythe is an amazing physician. He has performed two thyroid surgeries on me and has always had a very caring attitude toward me. the office staff is very friendly and helpful. Love Dr. Blythe and will never see anybody else.

This place is not really kid friendly when they service children as well as adults. They couldn’t even get a ct scan for my kid. Also the lady at the check out is kind of rude. I understand you are afraid hippa violations, but me leaning against the wall is no different from the arm length away wall you ask me to go to. Plus I’m worn out struggling to keep toddler running everywhere. Scheduled appt 2:20 ct didn’t get out of there after 4. Glad nothing is wrong with my toddler bc I would hate to go back there again

Unlike what other reviews have said about the doctors, my experience with the front desk AND the doctor who treated me was very poor. Like others have reported, the front desk was incredibly rude and unfriendly. As for the physicians, I will not name him, but the young doctor who saw me was completely absent during our session. I noticed he was not looking at me when I was telling him about my issues--he just continued to type on his computer. This I thought was normal, as many doctors take notes. However, when he laughed to himself, I peeked at his computer and he was in some form of chat session during our session! I could not believe the unprofessional manner in which I was treated. He also quoted me a price for the test he wanted me to have done. Upon taking the test, this doctor never figured out what was wrong with me and prescribed me with medicine I had told him I had already tried before and it didnt work. When I got the bill for this, it was over $300 dollars more than what he quoted. When I spoke with the billing department, she allowed me to set up a payment program per month. Although I was still angry with paying for something that failed to find a solution to my issues, I was fine with a payment program. Well, today I just received a LETTER FROM COLLECTIONS!!! Do NOT setup a payment program with this office--actually just do not even go. Find another office that will treat you with respect and as an individual person. Horrible experience.

I had a horrible experience at this office. They make you wait for an hour each time, and if you end up having surgery, the wait might be longer. I know many people who have had surgery done here. It seems that they are eager to make money off their patients by encouraging them to have surgery and take lots of medications. Who knows what all the side effects will be. I would advise getting a second or third opinion elsewhere before following advise given at this practice. Its worth the drive to Montgomery or Birmingham since you will be waiting so long here anyway.

I showed up for my appointment 15 minutes early, signed in, and sat in the waiting room for over an hour and 45 minutes and did not get to see Dr. Whatley. If the doctor’s office is going to schedule the appointment, the patient expects you to honor it. If you cannot see your patients in a timely manner, it might help if you didn’t overbook your appointments. A lot of us take time off from our jobs to to show up for our appointments. I will not be going back to this place.

I went in today to find out why I was having reoccurring nose bleeds. I was mainly just curious to see if it was something serious. Next thing I know my nose is being cauterized, and I feel like Im going to pass out. Dr. Whatley seemed nice, but there was no inform and consent. I am now left wondering if I am going to get some random bill from insurance for a procedure I never even agreed to.

Easy to schedule an appointment but when I arrived I waited over an hour and a half AFTER my scheduled appointment time to see someone. If you decide to come here take the whole day off because a simple run and and talk to someone wont happen.

I’m not speaking to the quality of the doctors. Surgery went well and I was happy with Dr. Whatley. But the patient experience was not good. It would be helpful for this office to review their wait times, facilities, customer service, patient needs (e.g., bleeding in lobby), and responsiveness to phone or patient portal contacts.

We have been trying to get a prescription refilled for my husband. He called this office 3 times. Finally was told prescription had been sent to pharmacy. Called today to see if it was ready. They had called in the wrong thing. I called today to try and straighten things out. Very frustrating to say the least. The lady we talked to swears they called the correct prescription last week. Says she will email dr. again to be sure. So I called pharmacy back to double check. They definitely have no prescription for him but helpful pharmacist called doctor office to get new prescription only to be told he has to make an appointment and go in for a refill. Why in the world would it take over a week to be told to make an appointment. I am saddened that this is the only choice we have for ENT.

I had a 2:50 p.m. appointment and and arrived at 2:25 and at 4:30 I was still sitting in the waiting room. Was sent to do a ear test and was told I didnt have a ear infection but my ear is yet hurting. I had somewhere else I had to be at 5 p.m., so I ask them to cancel my appointment. It is so sad to come into a office and watch everybody get called to the back get waited on and leave but you. I was not a walk in but had an appointment after canceling it was only three people in the lobby and one was called back as I was leaving. They apologized to me for having been there so long but this was ridiculous. One mad patient!

Dr Blythe and Meredith are fantastic! We were out of town over a holiday weekend and needed to reach the office. I called and left a message and Dr Blythe called me back ASAP. Not only did he take care of my concerns, but he offered some great recommendations since he was familiar with where we were visiting. Only downside is the wait can be long to see Dr Blythe, but I normally dont wait too long to see Meredith.

This place is a complete joke! I spent 3 hours here before asking what the hold up was. The rude receptionists up front shrugged her shoulders and said I could go elsewhere if I didn’t want to wait. I’ve been waiting for 3 hours!! Took me 1 hour to get new patient paper work. I’d never go here or recommend anyone else here!

We have used Dr. stiles for both of my kids. One has had tubes twice and adenoids removed. Other just one set of tubes. We LOVE him. He has always been super friendly and will listen to me when Im being suggestive about my concerns. Couldnt ask for a better doctor!

Dr. Blythe gives great care and takes the time to explain everything. The reason for the 2 star evaluation is due to the poor scheduling. The average wait in the waiting room is between 1.5 and 2 hours.

I knew of long wait times at this office, but theyre the only ENT anywhere close. My appointment for my last visit was at 3pm and I was given a hearing test at 3:20...not bad. I then had to wait another 30 minutes to see the doctor. Thats pretty much par for the course for any doctor these days...but I do remember having a 4 hour wait many years ago, which did not make me happy.Today however, was a good visit. I was in and out in an hour and 45 minutes, which included the hearing test and an Xray. I saw Dr Whatley. He was very professional and thorough. I was surprised that he gave me his personal contact info in case I was not better before my next follow up appointment in 6 weeks. And that came into use immediately as one of my two prescriptions that he told me I was to get was not received by my pharmacy. I sent him and email and within 15 minutes I had a response and he resent the prescription. Very pleased with the office and the doctor today.

The experience at East Alabama ENT was among the best I have had at any specialists office. I was able to schedule an appointment to get a vessel in my nose cauterized only 1 day in advance, and when I got there, Dr. Whatley did an excellent job and even prescribed an antibiotic for me for a sinus infection even though that was not what I came in for. When I had to reschedule my follow up appointment, it was very easy to set a new date and time. I dont know why some other people have reported negative experiences, but I found the entire process efficient, enjoyable, and effective.

Their office manager should be fired for poorly running an office. Ive called 8 times over a 3 day period to schedule a new patients appointment. I am either left on hold for over 10 minutes or they say they will call me back to schedule my appointment but never do. I finally went online to schedule an appointment. That was a week ago and I still havent been scheduled. If their staff is this lazy... why would I trust their doctor opinion. Im taking my health care concerns elsewhere.

I dont believe the positive reviews. We was just in here today 01/22/2016. The rude B office mannager accused me of cancelling my appointment. Then she told me the doctor made the decision not to see me, because he had to catch a flight for his vacation. They could care less if you live or die. Apparently his vacation time is more important then his patients care, and he does nothing about his rude jerks employee attitude. Because he has the same ugly attitude his nurse and him made the decision not to see me because they said i cancelled my appointment. The negative reviews out number the positive reviews. And i do CONDEMN them for how rude they treated me. I dont know why some patients are treated really good above others. If the doctor is not professional and kind, then the employees are hateful and abusive to the patients.They refuse to give you medication or call your insurance because they prescribe medication, that you are allergic to that you cant take, and they want help or call your insurance to help you get approved for the medicine that you can take to get well. Instead they make you suffer. PIGS. Dr.Stiles office staff is nothing but a bunch of scummy jerks, to make a patient suffer like this.Then the office staff lies to the doctor about you. And terminates you as a patient.Stiles did terminate my family member as a patient. Because his office staff would not talk to their insurance company, because they tried to make them take medication they was allergic to. They had no problem ordering the medication but when they found out they needed an approval from their insurance company, then the harassment started.Then stiles hes not worthy to be called dr was going to make them come at 8:00 a.m. to explain why they cant take the medication. He is nothing but a jerk and his office staff are a bunch of jerks.They are reporting him and his office staff for patient abuse. And he failed to treat my family member.They have this attitude they are the only ear nose and throat in Auburn they can treat patients like crap.They are the only ear nose and throat doctor in Opelika. So they are going to be scum. I hope a patient who he terminates or falsely accuses them of being a non-complainant patient sue the heck out of them. The reason why this dr and his office staff, treats patients like garbage. Is because bad doctors in Alabama are not disciplined or punished. Doctors who treat people like this should not be allowed to get away with it.The medical board dont punish Alabama doctors the way they should. If they did Doctors and office staff would treat their patients with more dignity and respect. And not force them to take medication that they are allergic to.

The front office staff are incompetent and rude. I waited with my 2.5 year old son from 1:15 to 3:15 before I got to see the doctor. My sons appointment was at 1:30. The excuse was that they were tying to verify my insurance and then instead of putting me in front of other patients that came in after me I had to go to the back of the list until the doctor seen me. When I mentioned the wait to the doctor he chuckled and saidThat is why we have people fill paperwork out online. If this was not the only ENT in town we would NOT be going back!
