As usual, St Landry Lumber had what I needed when others did not. I was looking for a particular rifle and they had it. Good folks and good discussion.

The staff at St. Landry Lumber Company were a blessing to us and they made sure we were satisfied with their service. Their staff is very knowledgeable and truly care about their customers.

Love the place. Bow shop is absolutely top notch. The guys will bend over backwards to help out. I drive past several other shops to use them, and as long as they are in business I wont go anywhere else.

Very lovely staff. From buying a clip for my husbands gun, to purchasing a large order of lumber. We were able to get everything we need in one spot. Even the Archer supplies upstairs. They got it all down. Plus they delivered our lumber same day.

I love this place. Clothes, shoes, doors, oh my!!!! They have almost anything you need. Also, cast iron and magnalite pots. A hunters paradise, just ask my husband.

Always busy when I go. The outdoors part is a bit pricey and deals with people they know instead of helping in the order the people walked in. Talks too much.I was driving today 11/24/20 and the lumber flatbed was behind me on the phone. I turn and he almost clipped me and caused a wreck trying to miss me. The starts honking and cursing me out. Bad for buisness.

Everything you need

This place is more than a hardware store and lumber yard. They have a complete full-line sporting goods store inside called Austin’s Outdoor. They stock all kinds of firearms, camo clothes, accessories, and ammo. They have a 2nd floor inside that houses an archery department, with all kinds of hunting clothes just before the archery shop. They stock a bunch of safes, too. A lady working there told me they can deliver safes, too. Friendly staff that will help you find what you need or special order if they don’t have it there already. Their ammo for rifle and pistol is behind the counter, but their shotgun shells are on racks that you can see and pick out yourself. Walk through the hardware store and you’ll find the sporting goods and clothes.

I read the reviews maybe it’s because I called, rather than drive an hour and 15 I opted to call. Guy answered I asked for a product he said we don’t carry it, he’d have to order so next question ok how much and how long would it be his response—— uhhhh I don’t know we don’t order it often and uhhhhh price wise mine are outdated. I mean really if you can order it it’s pretty obvious you can get me an updated price, wrong I guess I disturbed him from NOT doing his job. Why would I deal with a place can’t seem to perform the simplest of tasks-like get me a price or say I can get you price but I will have to call you back. Uhhhhh is not a response I understand. Thanks for nothing.

I was having a near impossible time finding a certain shotgun and they found one for me quickly and were a joy to deal with. I was very impressed by the way I was helped.

They sell things that are available at the big box stores but for a better price plus they offer the all-important personal service so I get to ask questions to knowledgeable associates who deal with contractors every day.
