DO NOT USE TISON SOUND & SECURITY!!!!We were introduced to Tison Sound & Security by way of our new home builder Dream Finders. We were led to believe the work provided would be sound, viable and within quality standards. We found after closing that the pre-wire package we paid for was not in working order or operable to engage a security system and new contact connections had to be installed and additional monies paid to correct the deficiencies. As our home is brand new we were appalled to see the end results and state our home wiring system was left in with Tison Sound & Security. (Pictures provided) Shawn Tison the owner has never apologized nor moved in a path to right the wrongs nor assist us in recouping monies we had to pay another vendor to get security system up and running which we had already paid Tison to do. Additionally, we spent weeks corresponding with Shawn Tison the owner trying to work on an amenable solution that covers the monies we had to pay as well as, future monies we will have to fork out to correct our wire box and a live wire left hanging in our garage / Kitchen entry. Shawn Tison stated the work quality is fine in his perspective and insisted on coming back into our home yet gave no details as to what measures he would be taking or what “Fix” would be done or defined as, since we had already paid another vendor to correct non viable wiring we had paid to Tison to do. Three main entry points to our home had no contacts wired or even installed and seven were non operable. We spent countless hours trying to remedy a solution with the owner Shawn to no avail. We are left to seek legal remedy at this point and if you value quality and professionalism DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TISON SOUND & SECURITY. Dream Finders should be ashamed to align themselves with such a company that misrepresents themselves their service and work product results. and ALL NEW POTENTIAL HOME BUYERS SHOULD STAY CLEAR OF TISON SOUND & SECURITY.
The experience with Tison sound & Security has been a nightmare. We paid $7,000 for poor quality. The sound speaker in our theater sounds like something I can play from my cell phone. The alarm system is trash. We wanted an alarm company with the capability to have motion sensor alerts. Had we knew what we knew now, we would have certainly just kept our $300.00 blink camera system and our $250.00 google speaker, Which has better quality and has the option to turn on motion alerts. This system Tison sold us is terrible. Our home speakers has white residue on it in our theater room. Not once did Tison say let us replace these speakers or try to resolve the issues. we have no speakers in our living room, which we wanted for entertainment purposes. These are some of the things we thought was cover with the $7,000 we paid. This company has no regards to their customers or the willingness to appease their customers. We did receive a lousy credit of $400.00, but that does not makeup for the 7,000 we paid.You are literally over charged for everything, BestBuy has better prices and services. I wish we would have went with them for a better quality of services and not to mention for 1/3 of the price.Stay AWAY from Tison.Our Sales guy David helped us and we are not satisfied.
They replaced my old original intercom system, with a new system that used the original wiring and retrofitted all the equipment with out any drywall repairs needed. It did take a while to assemble all the parts but the entire team did an outstanding job. Kudos to Corey our technician he was outstanding. Definitely can recommend this business.
I highly recommend Tison and their team. David Simon, our salesman, was prompt and provided me with all the data I needed to make a informative decision. Corey (our installer) and his assistant were great. Always on time, cleaning up after the install and respecting our property. I reviewed two other security companies and Tison provided the greatest value for the lowest cost. We made the right decision to go with Tison for our security install.
Bill met with us and went over what they offer and worked with us on our options. There was no pressure. They offer a large number of products and services and are there when you need them. It was a good visit!
Company is not interested in incrementally earning your business- its an all or nothing discussion. Needed a part for an existing security system, and instead of trying to assist with my immediate need, they made it clear that they were only interested in helping me if I agreed to monitoring service. Maybe I did want monitoring service, but opening a conversation to paint me into a corner isnt a good tactic. Thank you, next.

The professionalism, dedication, and ability to listen & value my concern and remedy a network loss issue my family and I had to endure for over 1 week, goes beyond words! Enduring 90+ temps outside and having to go into our attic twice, they were determined to troubleshoot & fix our issue and made sure everything was tested & working properly before they left. I truly enjoyed my experience with Tison. Jason is a valuable asset to this company. I can’t say enough positive things about Jason’s knowledge and excellent customer service. Leland the install tech was excellent! He went above and beyond and did a wonderful job installing my alarm. I’m definitely having Leland come back to install my TVs and surround sound.
As with all things moving has challenges but when Tison’s system stop working for some reason or another after the final walk through Brandi got me the soonest appointment. Once team Corey and Sam arrived it was only courtesy, professionalism, and their expertise which solved the problem then got it working in a very timely manner. This team understands helping the home owner and time is important. The best I can say is thank you very much Corey and Sam your welcome in my home!

Thank you for detailed set up service on our home security. My grandmother has a hard time with using apps and such and the gentleman took extra time with her to set everything up so she understood how to use the apps and systems with ease!Used them also to do our TV mountings and it turned out very well!
I dont write many reviews, but from start to finish, this was a great experience. I first met with Jason at the DreamFinders design center in January to discuss wall-mounting and outlet placement. Fast-forward to today and the crew showed up early and got right to work. They mounted 3 TVs in about 70 minutes, connected all cables and cleaned up when they were finished. Great experience as a first-time homeowner dealing with any type of modifications. From consultation to installation, very pleased!
Corey and DJ were the 2 techs who came to our house. They diagnosed our issue quickly, fixed the problem, and then gave us some much needed training.
I feel that Tison Sound & Security, Inc, owned/operated by Shawn Tison has done some restructuring since before I joined them December 2015. They now have a team that is dedicated to great quality customer service. There has been a lot of changes and the company has come a long way in the past year with new policies and procedures in place. The Tison team is dedicated to making sure that the customers needs and concerns are taken care of promptly!

Tison Sound and Security is an excellent company that I would have no reservations giving a 5-Star review to. We are a small general contracting company that builds luxury custom homes, one at a time. Jason, our salesman, was very thorough in estimating and laying out our project. JR, the technical arm of the company made many site visits to ensure that the project went smoothly. And finally Shawn the owner himself also came to inspect and help with the choice of equipment. The technicians, Robert who did the rough wiring pre-sheetrock and Leland who was responsible for the trimming out of the sound and security system, were Top Notch and extremely helpful and considerate. The ladies at the office who were responsible for billing and scheduling were also very customer-friendly. This company goes the extra mile for their clients and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

We decided to have an alarm installed in our new (pre-wired) home back in December, and had a great experience with Jason and Jeremy. They addressed all our concerns and installation went smooth. When we subsequently had an issue with a sensor and telephone jack, they immediately took care of the problem. Their alarm call center is very quick to respond as well. So glad we decided to go with Tison.

Our builder made the mistake of conducting business with this company. I would say run away from this company. Their installers cut a hole big enough for a football to pass through in the middle of a wall where nothing was supposed to be installed. We have had nothing but issues now that the installers have left our new home with holes in the wall and we still do not have the job done correctly. There are way too many alarm companies in the area that can provide a much better service.
They were easy to schedule and worked with us. The bracket for one of our TVs was in the way of plugging in the power cord but they came out the next day and fixed it no provlem.
We bought a 75 TV that we wanted mounted on the wall and hooked up to a new receiver plus 7 speakers, and get a tutorial on how everything works. We hired Tison Sound & Security based on a recommendation, and were thoroughly pleased with the professionalism and service we received. Would totally recommend this company!
All I will say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. All new Dreamfinders buyers do not allow these people to render services to you. First of all Ive never heard of any company that can not help you over the phone when you experience issues, the customer service representative is no help at all, she was rude and only response is an technician has to come out for an $95 service charge. Two issues:I changed cable provider and my camera system went offline. I had to pay $95 for an 15 min service.. the technician came reset and collected his $95. My husband asked if there were anyway we could have an step by step guide to do it ourselves and the answer was no.We experience another time our cable modem stop working and again they wanted $95 and from past experience we already knew 15 mins to fix the problem.Now we want out because its bad business, we all know how equipment goes out and need to be replaced ;we are stuck with an 3 year contract with these people!!!! BUYERS BEWARE
Ver expensive and had to return three times. Used incorrect cables ( according to Comcast and Best Buy who also came out and as a result, spent five afternoons waiting for comcast and best buy to come out, then the Geek squad told us it was another Tison issue) Came another time because falling off the wallPlaced electrical and cable outlet beside tv on the mantle in full view. Charged more than 1500 to install this tv and two others

Great customer service! Technician was on time and very polite.
I was informed that anytime my modem goes out, goes bad, has to be replaced, etc... a technician has to come to my place of residence in order to get my cameras back online, at the price of 95.00 dollars. Recently, my Comcast modem died and comcast had to replace it,(free of charge). Due to the modem going out, my cameras went offline. Due to being unable to just reconnect with my wifi, we had to have tison personally come in and reconnect because they are the only one who can reconnect it back to the system. And the service cost was 95.00 dollars. So anytime it goes out, we have to pay 95.00 to have it reinstalled. If my service providers modem decides to go bad for any reason, we have to pay you 95.00 dollars for a service call to reconnect. What if i receive 2, 3 or even 4 bad modems, which has happened, during a months period...this shouldnt be so. Not liking this service at all...thank you for allowing me to share.
We are happy with our sound and security from Tison. The installers were professional and helpful. We met Jason at the Dreamfinders showroom and he too was very professional. Our installer Carter did a fantanstic and patient job of explaining the use of all we had installed. I also have called on numerous times the office and have received nothing but professionalism. Although what we wanted was expensive.. in my opinion they made it easy to write that check lol.
The man who came to install my security system, Leland, went above and beyond my expectations and I am very greatful for the wonderful service and top notch cameras that were put in! They look amazing!!!

NEVER ON-TIME FOR SERVICE CALLS!!!! This company is the worst! This is my third time having to call them out for my security cameras they installed when I got my home built. This company doesnt have the common courtesy to give the customer a call if they are running late. The dont call NOR show up. Each time I had to call them to find out where the technician was or if they were coming at all to my SCHEDULED appointment.
As someone clearly said, stay away from this company. I still dont know why Dreamfinders chosed to do business with them. I warned you; stay away!
I have never experienced the kind of incompetence I experienced with this speaker order & the ensuing blundered installation attempt. In February, the installers came out to install the center channel speaker I ordered along with the Bose speakers I had already purchased. When they arrived the center channel speaker that I originally ordered had been canceled without any notification and replaced with a speaker I did not approve to be installed. They did not set up the receiver as was directed in the order. The Technician also tried to install one of the speakers through one of the roof joists and marked up the ceiling with a permanent marker. It is now March 30th and this still has not been resolved or even addressed. All I am told is, We will make this right and another 2 weeks goes by until I call again and am told the same thing. I am about to hire an attorney and take them to small claims court for either a refund or force them to do the work that was promised in the first place ... I have no words to describe how UNSATISFYING this entire experience has been !!!!!

How many CHARGEBACKS shall I continue to place on the account before I go to Clay Co Sheriffs dept or JSO? WHAT KIND OF THIEF ARE YOU MR TISON??? SHALL I GO TO CHANNEL 47 AND HAVE THEM INVESTIGATE YOUR FRAUDULENT CHARGES!!??? Services were so bad, no-one would answer calls for alarm system outages for DAYS. Stay as far away from this guy as you can if you value your home and property.
