Im a loyal customer and it was my first time at this New, Huge, Clean, Fully Stocked, Indian Market seamily as large as Costcos. Big parking lot, roomy isles, huge selection, save more buying in bulk, helpful staff and fast checkout. We will be back again and thank you for super sizing a great store.

After taking this picture owner was threatened me. So I said if you are going to sale this kind of stuff which can raise cancer its not acceptable. He need to apologies, but he was threatened me. I experienced the same 4-5 months ago in the same store for different items. One time its like a human mistake, but if they are trying again and again its not mistake its their habit. We can not accept this thing at any cost. We are making money for good health and food., not for your expiry item and fungus items. Good thing they are not running restaurant otherwise they can serve the food 30-40 days old. I would not suggest the people to go this store and buy, if they need to buy check the expiry date and check item like I did in this picture.

Store always have new items and great deal on mangoes when in season.Went to the cleaners at Bharat. Prices are the cheapest in town. Good job at pressing the shirts. People are efficient and polite even though their volume of laundry is huge.I like going there.

Clean. Well stocked and courteous service. It’s a family run store who have operated it since founding it. I never go across the street as they are not a truly Indian store.

Pretty good place considering its probably the only one of its kind here in new haven. Veggies not always the freshest but otherwise decent selection in most things.P.s. The picture just shows an employee throwing food on the floor for whatever reason and then stacking it - that is a no-no where I come from even if its enclosed in a packet.

I cannot give baharat bazar all 5 stars because I ended up purchasing an expired can of food and an expired box of sweets from the store. I would like to give them a few stars because I can only find Ceylon food stuff in this store. It doesn’t seem like that they take expired food products off from the shelves. I love their tropical vegetable collection but I will make sure to check dates before purchasing anything else. I would be sadder and more disappointed if it was a Ceylon store because I don’t want my country to sell expired food products to anyone.

Its nice and their prices are better than Indian Farmers Market. Big and spacious, its not crowded compared to other stores. Fresh foods and vegetables are available at reasonable price.

Bharat Bazaar is a decent store. My big qualm is how the aisles lack labels. Labels would be very useful, and most of its competitors make good use of them.

Its a mini Indian Super Market. Its one of my favorite food stores. I love trying new things all the time. Its a treat to have such a wonderful, helpful store located near me. The prices are amazing. Indian food is indescribably delicious. I feel like a kid in a candy store.Its so much fun trying new healthy foods.

Clean, well lit, and lots of choices from around the globe that you wouldnt find in your neighborhood grocery stores like Stop & Shop, Price Rite, Save a Lot, or Farm Markets. Check them out. Its usually stocked very well. I can find what I want without any problems. The only negative thing I have to say is every single time I go there the cashier ALWAYS put my receipt on the counter not in my hand.

This cute Indian market has everything you might need for Indian cuisine. Big selection of everything!!!!!They have a frozen, produce, spice section that I love. I often go in late springtime for the fresh lychee nut fruits. I never saw so many different colored pastas before and they have so many non food products as well. Staff is very helpful and friendly which makes visiting there a pleasure. Highly recommended even if you dont eat Indian cuisine, there are a lot of things to buy for any meal, especially fresh beautiful produce!

If you are looking for Indian products and vegetables in this part of CT then this is a good place to go. The variety and pricing is good and the store is open all days and carries important items at all times.You need to time your trip for vegetables as the stock changes during different days of the week

Wow! The enormous produce section is fabulous. Good quality. The rest of the store is amazing. Tremendous selection of everything you can imagine and more.

Bought a rice cooker, didnt work properly. Went to return, they asked me to contact PRESTIGE (the original manufacturer of that cooker from India). I didnt request for a refund, I wanted to exchange it. They didnt let me. One of the storekeeper was really friendly and wanted to check it herself before giving me a replacement. Then all of a sudden another storekeeper came out of nowhere and being repellent. Not rude, but she definitely didnt want me there. I could have contacted Prestige if they were a local company, but its foolishness to contact them from around the world to replace a cooker which they generally sell for may be $15 which I had to buy for $60. I wanted to give a 1 star for my experience, but they are already affected by the huge store opened right opposite to them and didnt want to further affect their reputation in any way. At the same time I wanted to bring up this issue over here.

Though some items were at reasonable prices but some were too higher then acceptable.They have made a big aisles and the variety is moreEspecially utensils you will get all indian utensils here,just name it.The only drawback is prices and they do not have sale much like other places

One of the best places for getting all the India groceries. It has fresh, frozen and dry package of most food. Frozen stock contains variety of ready to eat food. You can also buy cutlery and spices.

Selling expiry food products .i experienced 3 time in last 6 months.

I had an amazing experience at this new and innovative supermarket. The best exotic vegetables, herbs, fruits and so much more. This place is a must to go and visit to add a special twist on your dinner table!

If you are looking for Indian stuff in New Haven, this is the place to go. All those sins which your taste buds been missing will be washed away in fries, pickles, biskuts, whole spices and lentils (which you couldnt carry from India), its all there.

Finally they renovated and made the store look good (looks like the new indian store across the street, forced them to renovate and make the store bigger ) bharat bazaar is much better than the other store across the street.

Under the same management they have expanded the store. Staff is very helpful and they have great selections.

I bought naan from them and it had no expiration date but yet it was sour and tasted like it was sitting on the shelf for a very long time. After realizing I went back to return hoping to at least get store credit and they refused and were very rude. They have bad customer service and they all have an attitude. If you wanna ever have a good shopping experience DONT EVER GO THERE. RUDE!

Guys this store sailing expiry stuff. I asked with owner one time he said sorry we forgot to remove. Next time when i found and i was talking pictures owner came and he was abusing me. Such a bad Guy. On Jan 5, 2020 i went there for grocery i saw they are sailing Samosa and one more thing near by the counter. I bought one Samosa oh gosh it was too cold and i can feel it smell, after few hours i went in urgent care and i was vomiting too much. So i don’t recommend this place at any cost. This owner is doing lot of illegal work in his business and threatens the people when someone showing you are sailing this expiry food items here.If i am food inspectors i will take a action on this guy and check his all shop.

Nice selection of south Asian/Indian grocery and produce. Staff not that helpful. Prices are a little on the higher side and selection not as wide when compared to other bigger Indian grocery stores like Patel Brothers in Norwalk.

This is a clean, organized market with no odd smells that anyone can shop to find vibrant flavors, popular spices and not so common ones not found in ordinary markets.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!As a vegan, its the cheapest place to buy cashews and in different quantities (for making creamy sauces and dressings) and I love the pocket-less pitas they sell for making toaster oven pizzas at home (since very few places sell vegan pies).My spice rack is more than stocked and I also love looking at all the neat produce and packaged goods. My other favorite must have from this place are the stainless steel containers that are at great prices and excellent quality. Unlike the crappy stuff you find online, these are genuine and not at Whole Food prices. Perfect for storing bulk rice and other dry goods that mice would love to get a hold of, but cant...sorry mice, I cant bare to exterminate you, so I better not invite you over to an all you eat buffet of grain in my pantry. ;)

Always find what I need for my Mrs. Catering orders, all workers are very helpful and efficient.

Crooks charge you wrong on purpose and wont refund. I guess they think its your fault if you dont notice. Or maybe they think its your fault of you do notice. They do not ring up advertised in-store prices. Cant believe they are pulling this scam. I wont be back.

Best place to get Desi things in pardes

They need to keep the vegetable cleanly, other groceries are good mainly north Indian stuff.

I stop here for Hood milk at a bargain price, but always find some Indian food to try as well. The side dishes in the MRE-like pouches are very good, as are the frozen dinners.
