Awesome guitar shop. Bought a new Fender Telecaster from them and Tyler was awesome in helping me decide on it. Highly recommended buying from here.
I went to Imperial Vintage Guitars in Orange the other day to checkout a guitar that I saw online. Instrument pricing and condition varied, but overall they offer a good selection of guitars for a small storefront. The guitar that I went to see was a Gibson (Im keeping the model out) that was listed in excellant condition. The online pictures looked very good as well! Their description did mention some playwear and scratches. However, in person I would not grade the guitar as excellent. While the guitar played well and had no major issues, Id put it in just good condition. Of course opinions are subjective. For me the guitar was overpriced for its condition. Im sure they would have taken less, but I decided not to make an offer at this time.Still, I do recommend stopping in and checking them out. It is a guitar players candy store!
Great service and great deals
Awesome guitar selection! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I highly recommend this vintage guitar shop!
Took my boys there to get guitar lessons from Guitar Ninjas which teach guitars upstairs. I decided to look there for a guitar for eldest boy so he can practice at home. Of course, I wasnt looking for anything pricey or really that vintage but something to start with. They dont have a large selection if you were looking for something cheap as a starter guitar for a young child but they did have a couple to choose from in my price range and I was able to walk out of there with a used starter setup to get my boys started. They do have a good assortment of other guitars which may be worth checking out if you are looking for excellent service and want a nice vintage guitar. If your price range is around $100 like mine was, then your options might be more limited but Id still give them a shot as I got excellent treatment even while I was looking in the cheaper side of things and got more than I expected.
This place is the best vintage and only vintage guitar star worth its salt in Orange County. They have an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that is far better than any of the big box stores. They are much more inviting than any other vintage guitar I have ever been to here in Southern California. The greatest part is that they let you see and play the guitars. Many vintage guitar stores keep their guitars hidden behind a glass. These people cater to guitar players looking to score a vintage guitar they can hear before they buy it. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this guitar shop.
Just went in to kill some time while on a work trip. The owner couldn’t have been nicer.Great and diverse selection of guitars. Just the right mix of vintage and new. The owner didn’t try to give me any big sales pitch and pretty much insisted I plug in or play anything I wanted. If every guitar shop had this kind of vibe, there would probably be way more guitar players. So do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
This shop is awesome! Ive been to the other 2 locations and it keeps getting better and better. Their vast collection will satisfy anyone from professional musicians to random passerbys. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place.
If you’re friends with guitar geeks, make sure you take them to these guys for a treat:) Not only the store is a visual feast, they are really helpful on finding what you’re looking for. They have a great selection and great attitude! Thank you for all your help!

1.0 star rating 8/7/2018WOW this guy is a complete FRAUD. He has had my reviews which are 100% legit removed off of yelp. BEWARE Shai Ashknazi is a complete liar. Look this store up on Google- where they dont let you pay to remove negative reviews. In fact, Shai, I want you to know Ive posted this EVERYWHERE online to protect unsuspecting buyers- google, yelp, reverb and ebay- you didnt even know I could do that did you LOL, internet forums, EVERYWHERE- you cant remove the truth... No matter how much you pay Yelp. You cant cheat unsuspecting buyers anymore. This is not the first time Ive had bad dealings with Imperial Vintage. The owner Shai is a complete liar.Beware.I was the head recording engineer at JEL Recording for 15 years. I have sold vintage recording gear for 20. I have NEVER had a negative or neutral on Ebay or Reverb- Imperial Guitars CANNOT say the same thing...Look me up-Ebay/ReverbWhitepapasccOr Call JEL Recording and ask about my reputation. Im currently liquidating their entire studio as I do this PROFESSIONALLY.Its local shady sellers like Shai who give vintage guitars a bad name. You cannot trust him to disclose ANYTHING with vintage sales... AND god forbid he screws you, he is a complete NIGHTMARE to deal with. And he tries to get NEGATIVE reviews removed off Yelp- thats why there are so few. I personally know of THREE he had removed.Do your homework, dont buy from Imperial or Shai... Go to Norms in LA. Normans Rare and Vintage Guitars! You can trust Norm...And Shai- no matter HOW MANY times you pay Yelp to remove my review- I will keep posting the TRUTH. BUYER BEWARE!
Very friendly and informative. Ill be back.
