Been boating for years. First time my wife and I bought a new boat was at Active water Sports. We had the pleasure of Jon Ross helping us out with our purchase. We decided on an Axis A22 that was a previous customers build and backed out. Lucky us, we got a boat with all the bells and whistles. Jon was the best. He always had an answer to our questions and there was no pressure like most places. Used to be my go to store to buy Wakeboard boots for Flyboarding. Ordering online sucks. Their photos dont match what they ship, not even close. They dont respond to emails, never answer the phone and rarely return calls. After actually getting a real person who noted he would send a call tag for return it never arrives. They no longer respond to emails. Deal with them in person, but there are far better choices online.

Unfortunately I dont live in Oregon to shop here in person, but Ive had nothing but good experiences with their online store. Ive scored some great deals through their sales, and their support is top notch. Michael has helped me on several occasions, from how to repair a drysuit that I bought here (on a great sale) then damaged, to getting me the right size life jacket. I also bought an extra clamping rack for my boat, and AWS told me it would take a couple weeks to drop ship from the manufacturer but then it showed up at my door like three days later! These days its hard to get a hold of a human when shopping online, but anytime I call here I get an extremely helpful person and feel confident in my purchase. Anytime I need something for my boat I check here first. Also, check out their YouTube channel, lots of well made and helpful videos!

I came in to the store today with a LOT of questions about wakeboards and bindings and the whole shebang. I left an hour later knowing everything I came into find out and more. Drew answered all of my questions and spent 45 minutes talking to me about all the nitty gritty details of all the gear I had questions about. Had an outstanding customer service experience with Active Watersports in Oregon City. They helped arrange financing for the purchase of a private party boat that I was making from a customer who purchased the boat from them. Chantel and Chad went above and beyond to help facilitate the sale, weigh my options, and ultimately secure the financing and handle all of the paperwork for sale and warranty transfer. The ease of communication and willingness to walk us through the process was exceptional. They even came out after the sale to do a demo on the water and answered the laundry list of operational question and helped get the wake dialed. Chad was even able to get our 8 year old standing up and surfing! I’d highly recommend Active and we’ll 100% be purchasing our next boat from them.

Update: since posting a review AWS has been in contact and is working on remediating the situation, as well as providing periodic updates, which is much appreciated.Review summary: if something is wrong with your purchase, good luck getting in contact / any response from their online sales team.Details: Purchased a Phase5 Diamond from their online store. The shipping was quick, which I am grateful for, but the board had some defects from the manufacturer which wouldve been easily noticed pre-shipping (it was a re-packed box). I contacted Active Water Sports using their online email address to no reply. Three days later I tried to contact them through a reply to the sales receipt email, no reply. I waited another day and left a review on their Facebook page, which promptly received a response via phonecall (which went to voicemail) from their head of online sales. He was apologetic, and said to message him Monday morning. Come Monday, I messaged, no reply for two days. Their Facebook account even replied to the review saying someone would be in touch. Nothing. Messaged them on Facebook messenger, nothing again. Here we are 13 days later with zero response from them after receiving the pictures of the board and request for comment on the visual defects. I wouldnt be upset if it werent for the fact that they promise great service, comment online to say were reaching out right away! And then ghost you. Frustrating.

I can’t say enough about the team at Active Water Sports! We are new to the boating world, and they have taken care of us every step! (Even though our boat was bought used from a private party, it had been originally purchased from AWS the year before….and they treated us like it was a brand new purchase!) I especially want to shout out Chad! He not only went above and beyond by responding quickly to texts and calls, he also came to Devils Lake to spend the afternoon on our boat with us. He walked us through the entire boat, basics, special features, tips to pulling our kids wether it be skiing, wakeboarding, surfing or tubing! He was amazing!! No arrogance, only support and encouragement!! The time he spent with us has made a huge difference in us being able to enjoy the boat so quickly especially being so new to it all!! This place is great all-around! Ive been shopping here for gear for a while now - theyve got the best selection of boards and accessories. Plus, the pro shop has made great aesthetic improvements over the years - it makes you just want to hang out there. Theyve got a fantastic inventory of boats and the service shop is really diligent and quick with their work. Best of all, the whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Everyone is just happy to spread the stoke of boating and watersports in the PNW!

Since I began searching for a ski/surf boat 9 months ago, the folks at Active Waters Sports did nothing but help me in every way possible find our boat. Incredibly, even when buying my boat from a private seller, they continued to provide the highest level of customer service imaginable. Chantel Herbert and Chad Wiley not only helped me with through the search and purchase process but also went way above and beyond by driving the boat back from Bend (in December), inspecting it, transferring warranty and then storing it in their facility until I was ready to move it elsewhere. Tyler at their Canby storage location has been great to work with as well, making it an awesome experience all the way through. Too many other details to share beyond this but the take away is AWS is the best if youre at all considering a boat, period.

I purchased a new Malibu in Nov. 2019- the experience was truly a great one. Started with a very experienced and knowledgeable sales person (Nick South)- he asked great questions to understand what we were looking for and how we might use the boat. Over a period of about two weeks, he made suggestions and eventually went for a water demo. He pointed out and knew every detail of the boat and multi functions. Very consultative; no sales pressure. Nick continues to answer my many questions months after weve purchased- he truly cares about the customer.I had a couple minor new boat build issues I noticed after I spent a few hours in the boat. I was directed to Garrett Burbank, Service Manager- as I mentioned to him this morning, they are blowing me away with their customer focus, speed and overall service thus far. He and his team quickly addressed and repaired a few gel coat issues I pointed out. And...found and repaired a couple other items I didnt notice (are you kidding me?). So far, I cant image a better new boat buying and service experience than the one Ive had to date. Do yourself a favor and go see these folks- you wont regret it! I had a great experience with Active Water Sports. I recently took delivery of a Malibu Wakesetter. Nick South was great to work with, his attention to detail and knowledge about Malibu boats and all other wake boats on the market was top-notch. He took me through the whole sales process and was even there when I took delivery of the boat to ensure that it was tarped and detailed. Meticulous guy that saw the whole process through.

Just had a great experience buying a new 2020 wake setter, classic Black and white gray interior!Chantrel five star service, keep it up Chantrel maybe you’ll be the owner one day.She was more than helpful, knows the boats very well gave a great price and I enjoyed connecting with Warren briefly after having bought three boats from him this being our third this was by far the greatest experience in buying a boat I have had. We took it out for a trial run and surf wake was easy to set up, And very automatic filling and emptying the ballasts. I was surprised to get a wrist controller that sets the wake changes the wake side and raises and lowers the volume on the media center. Bonus! Oh and there’s a five year warranty with the boat trailer and the engine what more could you ask for?Thank you for a five-star experience keep up the good work.Dale and Patty Salem

Editing my review because once again we had such a great experience! A week ago we took our boat out for the first time and realized as soon as we backed it in that the batteries were dead. Ugh. A boat full of kids and they were anxious to get out on the water. I called Garrett at Active in the service department and he sent a tech to the water, with new batteries, had them switched out, and we were on our way. I wish I knew the techs name! He was great. Love the service from Active! Thanks again!We love our Malibu and Active! We bought ours boats through them, almost all our gear, and they do all our service. Super great to work with! The service department at Active Water in Oregon City, were professional, knowledgeable, and did great job at recently repairing our Ski Centurion, the job was done perfect, and had our boat repaired within 2 1/2 weeks from replacing the rudder, steering arm, prop, and fiberglass .They always take care of all our boating needs from surfboards, wakeboards, water skis you name it they have it, always the best price. We can’t say enough about how happy we are. Thanks for getting us back on the water so soon after our water accident.

Made an appointment 3+ weeks in advance. I brought it in with an added issue, which they found some time in their busy early summer schedule to include. On top of this, they had my boat ready by end of day, if not earlier. I had thought most of my issues fell under warranty, but after explaining in detail the charges in a professional and respectful manner, it was an aftermarket endeavor and easily accepted to pay the charges.I have used other boat service departments in the past, and AWS is definitely beyond the known competition.These guys continue to be class acts. Nick & Jeremy in boat sales are helpful and approachable. I dropped my boat off for repairs, hit a rock with the strut and bent it. They had my boat for a month and only did 4 hours of work. When I picked the boat up it was filthy and they left a muddy rope on the seats. I will never go back to them for service.

Absolutely fabulous service, I drove 90 miles to have a vibration in my boat fixed. Took the guys under an hour to find the problem and fix it. We will definitely be back for all our boat repairs and maintenance.Buying a waterski for my wife was an added bonus.... prices cant be beat! WOW

The customer service at Active Water Sports is second to none. Nick did a great job, and was easy to communicate during the entire process. He knows the industry very well. Nick was able to find me a boat that fit my needs and still come in under budget. I purchased a Malibu 22 LSV, and could not be happier. The wake it puts out, is the best I have ever scene. The touch screen command center is next level. Surfing has never been easier with the 22 LSV. I would recommend to anyone wanting to a buy a new boat for the first time, or has had multiple boats. I have been casually boat shopping for three summers waiting to find the right boat and the right deal. Ryan took a lot of time and spent multiple days going through different Supras and Moombas showing me the features and drawbacks of each model and taking me out for demos. I never felt like I had a question about the boat that he didnt have an answer to. I am a tough customer and I do not have a lot of free time. It was really great to work with the Active team, when the timing was right they all worked together and we made a fair trade in deal and a really fair deal on our new Supra. We had a great experience with Ryan and the Active team. In our search we met Jeremy as well, the guy knows his Malibus and was super kind and patient with my wife and I as we shopped through the boats. If you need a boat Active is the place to start and end the search. These guys are a class act, I had service done and a surf plate system installed at active on my previous boat so I can confidently say from Sales to Service, I 100% recommend Matt and his Team at Active. You cant beat them, great people and a great business.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY BOAT DEALER!!!!! We were at shasta lake last week when our boat had an issue with an idler pulley and it took out our serpentine belt! Not the best experience to have on the second day of a week long trip.... It was 5:30 pm when we called active and sure enough they had parts in stock and ready to go. We knew overnight shipping was not an option since it was so late in the day so we thought we were going to be off the water for a couple of days waiting to get parts. Thats when Nick the malibu salesmen jumped in and said he would meet me the next morning half way so we didnt have to wait and we could be back on the water that next day!!!!!! I could not ask for a better or more helpful group to save my trip! Thanks guys I owe you!!!!

Active Water Sports made me a great deal on a wakesetter 24MXZ! Professional salesman, great customer service, nothing but a positive experience for me. Then I had a minor problem on the water during my first time and my salesman and an AWS tech came out on the water within the hour and took care of me allowing me to enjoy the day with family and friends. The story goes on..... When I ran into a submerged log, yes everyone’s worst boating nightmare, and shredded my power wedge and prop. AWS had the parts in stock, repaired and me out the door in just three days! If you are going to buy a boat or get a boat serviced choose Active Water Sports!

Had a lot of warranty work done on our 24 MXZ Malibu. AJ took great care of me and the guy that did the fiber glass work, I believe his name was Jaren, (dont quote me on that one) did a very good job as well.
