Always quality cuts of meat at relatively decent prices however the staff there can be a bit sketchy at times in particular their cashiers. I think their cashiers and staff in general need a bit more training on being LGBT friendly. Theres an older lady cashier who always seems to be there when I shop who will not speak other than to tell me the total. I will not be going back to that shop anymore as the staff has made me feel uncomfortable and unappreciated. Ill be taking my business else where from now on.

The Starr location seems to be great everytime i go in. The employees are very helpful and polite even the new ones, they must have good trainers. Some things cost a little more than the big stores but for me its closer/ more convenient.

I am a Carnivore! I am also a member of PETA, (PEOPLE EATING TASTY ANIMALS!). This being said, The House of Meats is the ONLY PLACE in, or around, all of North Western Ohio, where you get the highest quality of MEAT, for your money! Its the ONLY place that I purchase Beef, Pork, Chicken, Monster Scallops, (to much to list), from. They are ABSOLUTELY FANOMINAL! (And yes, I grew up on a farm, where we butchered our own livestock! I know CHOICE MEAT!)

Have been shopping at the Starr Ave. store for almost 30 years. Faces have changed, but the courtesy and smiles havent. Only had a couple of issues with phone orders, so if you call in your order be specific about what you want. If you want 15 pounds of something, make sure you say pounds or you may either get more or less than what you want. Otherwise, their meats are top notch! And its the only place around where you can still get Gyro meat. Cant make Gyro egg rolls without it! Keep up the great work ladies and gents!

Love this place. Where else can you order and get any kind of meat that you want. Everything is homemade and deliscious. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We go here as often as possible when we are in town. We love the marinated chicken breasts. The steaks are awesome. The stuffed pork chops are so good.

This store is wonderful. I will only by my meats and other items here. My son loves the Maple Duck Sticks. I really like it because they carry Elk burgers, Buffalo, and Gator. The other reason is the prices even the sale prices. The employees are so kind and helpful. The store is small in size so when its busy it can be crowded. They even have samples most of the time. And if not you can ask to try a sample of something. I know people should visit House of Meats.

Great pricing! A lot to choose from. Always have some kind of deal going on. All the meat here is fresh and cut every morning. Workers are patient and very friendly. The cashier sometimes gives free cookies to the kids once you check out. There are usually samples you can try. They even have some produce that looks as if it was just picked off the field. Definitely recommend shopping here!

Will not be back. Lost a lifelong customer who regularly spent $200 in your store. I went in to your store today and asked for a tray of the crab salad like I have every year (roughly 10 lbs.). When I asked I point at the large tray in the cooler and told the woman behind the counter I wanted one about the size of what was in the cooler. She said so only a lb or two. I repeated myself, no I wanted a tray full of crab salad. A second woman comes out and I reiterated what I wanted to her. She decided to rudely tell me I needed to order it ahead of time next time (even though I never have in the past, if there wasn’t enough I would have just bought something else this time). When I saw her grab a bucket I let her know again I wanted it in a tray since we were taking it to a party. She let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes at me. You guys need to teach your employees how to handle themselves. Maybe some listening skills would be beneficial too... never have I been so rudely treated there. Will not be back. I’ll head over to Tanks in Elmore next time instead...

Always have great service behind the counter. They bend over backwards to serve each person. Unfortunately if you want to pay with a debit or credit card with a chip I was told they cant accept them. New card readers dont take cards with chips. Had to leave without my meat because I had no cash or checks with me. All my cards have chips.😪

Everytime I go there I treated great. The staff are always helpful. Parking isnt a problem and if you need help taking your purchase to your car they are always willing to help.

I love the house of meats and theres boxes for any occasion.. Even monthly food supply boxes.. And spending 230.00 on over a month of meat for a family of 9 is heavenly for me.. Honestly i shutter at the thought of haveing to buy things elswhere.. Best location is glendale ave. By walmart.. And be friendly to the little elder black lady cashier!! Five stars for her too! Sweetest cashier ive ever met. And shes been there for years!
