Great just not a lot of lanes so can get crowded.Details of my experience:The Staff at Jakes have been so helpful in getting me into the sport of Archery. Chris got me started on the right track. He got me a good deal on a left handed bow, tuned it and set it up specifically for my body geometry.Nick, Dustin and McKenzie have all been great as well. The whole staff is wonderful. They also helped me get my kids into good compound bows and set their bows up properly as well. Now its a sport we all love to do together as a family. Also, their indoor range is very fun to use.

Awesome place brought my 11 year old there to shoot an one of the young girls working there seen she was struggling an seen I knew nothing about archery an she came over and started helping her. great experience. great customer service an very helpful.

One of the only bow shops left in the valley with Bow Techs that actually know their stuff. Alex met and exceeded my expectations when I took my bow in to get tuned. Unlimited archery practice for $10 a trip (even less for groups, or if you have your own equipment). Great range from the avid beginner to hunting professional. The staff are very helpful, and most guests are even willing to give a few pointers. As a beginning archer, I quickly fell in love with this place. Definitely saving up for my own bow, as well.

We went here for my brothers birthday as a family for archery lessons. Jake was awesome! He made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. It was clear that he does this out of love for the sport and he has a genuine desire to help his customers have a great time. Felt like we were hanging out with an old buddy that we had known forever and not someone we had just met.

Purchased a bow at the outdoor expo from Nick, he was very helpful and took care of us. Got the Prime set up to my draw length and had it back in my hands in no time.

I went there today to look at arrows. Stood around for 25 minutes waiting to receive help. All the arrows are behind the counter with no prices listed on any of them. You cant even look at them without someone there to help you wich obviously was my problem. I left and went elsewhere.

First visit to get arrows I stood at the counter and was not helped so after a while I left. Second attempt I got some very nice arrows, but made wrong. The index fletching for recurve bow should go out. I expressed the type of bow I have, but received arrows with the index going up or down, as if for compound bow. The nock is glued in or Id fix them myself. Id like to get them corrected. They do have a very nice indoor range.

I went to Jakes hoping to get some questions answered about archery as I am very new at archery and wanted to get started. The person at the counter seemed more interested in telling me what bows were available and their prices than helping me really get started on my archery journey.To make matters worse, he just kinda passed me off as a lost cause and moved to the next customer in line while I was still standing in front of him. I still plan on getting into archery, but it wont be from the people here. The place seems good but could use better customer service.

Jakes is a great shop. Workers know what they are dealing with and how to handle it. They are quick at what they do. Timely manner in all they do. Very respectful.

Not worth time or money to go to Jakes Archery. Terrible customer service, if you arent a friend of the management there you arent getting anything but over charged. I called them three times and the phone was answered nothing was said on their end and then they hung up on me all three times. Bottom line is dont waste your money with pathetic customer service and over pricing. Drive the few extra miles to go to a better shop.

This place had excellent customer service!!!! They helped me set up my hunting bow...it took 15 minuets without all my questions. I was very impressed!!

We had to wait about 10 minutes to be helped, but other than that it was good (we used the range). Nice bows/arrows, hand and wrist guards to use. Showed us how to use them, helpful.

I needed to replace a part of a bow and these were the only guys in Utah I could find to help in a pinch. Great service and super knowledgeable staff. Worth the drive.

I came in earlier to pick up some arrows I ordered and I asked them if they would tune my bow, they did right on the spot and didnt even charge me. Awesome service very friendly environment. I dont live even remotely close to Jakes but I will make the drive cause these guys are AWESOME!

For anyone that left a positive review, thank you. For that reason I made the 60 mile trip with high expextations. Even then my expectations were surpassed. I am new to archery and Chris spent lots of time with me. After he worked on my bow and mounted the rest I wanted he spent another hour with me shooting. He changed my peep, mods and let me try a release he thought could help. The price was excellent and service was second to none. Jakes earned my business for life.

I am novice to archery, but wanted to switch to archery hunting this fall. I was gifted a bow, and some members of my sons JOAD club suggested Jakes to help me get it set up. I drove from Salt Lake County to Orem and explained to the man in the shop that I was new at this, didnt know what I was doing, and needed help with my draw length etc. The man who helped me in the shop went out of his way to make me feel like a total idiot. Its disappointing to come into a situation where you are new and learning and be treated so poorly. Save your gas money on this one....

I have only been in the shop portion of Jakes. They arent very attentive and inventory is limited. That said, I am very grateful that a store like this exists in Provo.

Went to Jakes to purchase a bow for my daughter, they were busy and with 15 minutes to close We were asked to leave so the employee could take his fiancee on a date. What kind of customer service does that? We went to Humphries and they gladly to my money.

Fun activity in a protected environment. The price was fair for the type of activity. I would recommend having a group go together.

Once youve been to Jakes and experience their service youll never want to go to some big sporting goods store again. Their knowledge and expertise is superior.

I like Jakes Archery. I bought my Hoyt Charger there and havent regretted it. They know everything you need and can set you up quick.

I have a cross bow that I needed a new string on, they made one on the spot for $20. Awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will return.

They were willing to give us a discounted price because we only have 30 min to shoot. Very friendly staff and just an all around great place.

Stopped in with a bow I got somewhere else. The guy set it up for me and gave me advice as this is my first compound. I asked him about broad heads (I was ready to buy a bunch of stuff) and he told me to practice with target tips and come back in March or April and he would talk broad heads with me. I asked about bird hunting arrows and set up and told him I wanted a traditional bow and he said new stuff was coming in 2018 and to look on their website. Im not sure what I was expecting but the guy was straight up and honest. However, he could have sold a boatload of equipment to me if he had tried.

So cool I bought something from there and I want to go back soon

They took my bows and chronoed them for me free of charge. They had to shoot it and i had to provide my arrows. Both very reasonable stipulations.

Low rating is for customer service and friendliness of staff. Technically very competent but poor ability to relate to people and what they need. If you know the right questions to ask you will get sound advice. If you are a noob, try Cabelas or Scheels first. For a more full-service range, try The Front Archery.

Came in today. 3rd visit. Spent 90 bucks. They did a much better job with basic customer service. I would recommend them.

Its got a really good range and a really nice selection of bows. They service is pretty good as well.

I called in to give them a heads-up about a group that wanted to come in the next day. Man who answered the phone was very rude, cutting off what I was saying and said, Not tomorrow youre not and didnt explain until I inquired why. He then said that they dont do reservations on Saturdays. I explained that I wasnt calling to make a reservation. Then he said they didnt do big groups on Saturdays of any kind, and ended with Mk? and hung up before I could say anything. Not gonna recommend therm anymore...

I’m sure I can’t say this for all of their team members but the individual I was helped by was very rude and disrespectful. Take your business elsewhere.

Im a 60 yr old guy and have only part-time wages available to me with an Archery pro shop just blocks from my house in Murray and have spent over a $1,000 in the last 6 months there,, only made to feel like a second rate citizen because Im not able to whip out the plastic and spend hundreds/ thousands like Ive seen so many other customers do,,, thank Goodness for Jakes Archery,, theyve been an answer to prayer,,my twin brother, up from NV and I got VIP treatment even on a busy Sat,, first time in the store,,60 minutes away but WORTH every mile,,youre Mine and my families Pro shop for years to come !,Thx, for being personal, knowledgeable and selfless, when others can be, but arent,,,my brother and I spent hours with you, watching you work like a well-oiled machine,, was ready to give up on Archery and sooO GlaD I dont have to !!! I came in with a certain bow in mind that I wanted to buy. as we set up the sights he noticed that I am left eye dominant, but right handed. rather than trying to sell me the more expensive bow that I came in for, they wanted me to try out some of their left handed bows. I can now aim so much better, now that they made sure that I got a bow that was right for me.

Great overall experience at Jakes Archery. Conner was excellent help. I didnt know one thing about archery and didnt know what I was getting into to or what direction to head. He took the time to put me through Compound Bow 101. He spent a good 45 minutes teaching me the basics of purchasing a bow. From the low cost basic bow to the more elaborate and expensive ones. If I dont end up buying new from Jakes Ill definately be going their to get my gear tuned and set up with some accessories. Thanks Conner.

Terrible service. I am new to archery and made it abundantly clear to them. I had a hand me down bow and arrows, took the arrows in for new fletching and nocks, when I got them back they had ruined the front end of the arrow where the tip goes in. so I asked them after they apologized for the ruined tip if they were reeady to go and they said yes. so I paid to use there range, and fired the first few arrows then rite as I released the last arrow it flipped around and almost stabbed me because they had forgot to put glue in all of the nocks. so I asked them and they were very rude about the whole thing and tried telling me it was my fault for them not putting glue in it? thats what I paid them for rite?

I have been a customer of Jakes Archery for many years. When I first had an interest in archery I didnt really know where to start. But, thanks to the help from the employees at Jakes they made sure to answer all of my questions and recommended quality products based on my spending budget. In addition, their staff is just as passionate about archery as I am which makes it an even better experience each time I visit. I just shot my first buck with my bow last year and owe it to the guys at Jakes who helped set me up with my bow and my gear. I will continue to return to Jakes Archery year after year for all of my bowhunting needs.

Great archery techs and amazing customer service

Adam helped me and was so disrespectful and unimaginably rude to me I walked out feeling like crap. Not only did he talk down to me but he also turned away the thing we needed a bow shop to actually do, because he was already too busy. I suggest that you see someone else because he sucked and made me not want to come back. Luckily some else can help me next time because I for sure will be asking for someone else!!!

We got there and they told us to wait for the range to become available so after waiting for half an hour they told us it was reserved for the rest of the night and turned us away.

Waiting for shooting range and was told we could shoot in 20 minutes. A bigger group came in after us and after waiting the 20 minutes they told us they were giving the range to the bigger group. Very poor experience.

Just went to look the only qualm Ive got its finding it, Ive a suggestion; a sign perpendicular to Orem Blvd.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to tell me the practice range would be available in 20 minutes. Waited 20 minutes for someone to tell me it was reserved the rest of the night and to go home. Will not be back.
