NA Divers really want to help you find the right scuba gear for you. They were very helpful in getting us all set up with our gear. My wife and I got certified during the pandemic. NA Divers worked to get us our stuff quickly even with all the supply chain issues (he called around to see what he could make work out).As far as training goes, they were great! My wife was a complete beginner in the water, while I am completely comfortable doing anything in the water (long distance swimming, lifeguard, etc). She was very hesitant at first, but they helped her ease her way into it. They were very supportive of her and worked at her pace. Anyone thats willing to try will be able to finish the course. They dont rush you through just to make more money - they make sure you are prepared to go diving and to enjoy the experience.
Probably the best place in Utah to get dive certified! Tony (the owner) and team do an excellent job teaching and preparing you to obtain your open water and advanced dive certifications. The classroom pool dives are done in Orem, most of the open water dives are done at The Homestead Crater in Midway, UT. The water both places is heated so they can teach and certify year around! The NA Divers shop itself has a good selection of gear, everything from BCs, mask, snorkel, fins, to dive computers and cameras, everything you need to get diving. They also service what they sell and carry many top brands. They can also fill bottles with air and Nitrox too. My wife and I not only got our open water cert here but also our Nitrox cert. The shop also coordinates dives to amazing destinations around the world like Fiji, Cozumel, and more. Check out their website to join them for future dives!
Unfortunately my daughter could not complete the class due to pandemic but my niece loved every bit! Tony was great with helping out coordinating the class and helped to refund my daughters fees. Would highly recommend North American Divers!!!
Always a good experience working with their team.
North American Divers is by far the best dive shop in all of Utah. They are very kind and help you find the best gear that suits you. Theyre very honest and never try to sell you anything you dont need. Ive been on a few trips with them and every time it has been an incredible experience. The instructors are very well trained and and do a stellar job. I would highly recommend this dive shop to anyone looking for more information on diving, certification, purchasing good quality equipment, or an incredible vacation. :) Thank you NA Divers!
I went to two places looking for snorkeling gear recommendations. The first seemed uninterested in answering my questions, so I decided not to buy anything from them. My next stop was North American Divers. The guy in the store was really nice and took the time to answer my questions. I felt like he tried to find a right fit for my needs rather than push me towards the most expensive gear. I would buy from them again.
I had a tight time frame to get scuba certified before a trip. Tony and Galen were amazing instructors and worked with my difficult schedule to make it happen on time. I was very nervous about scuba diving and they were both so patient with me, letting me go at the pace I needed to in order to feel at ease. I would highly recommend them for certification and organized scuba trips. I was very happy with them!
I loved my experience with North American Divers! Even with my busy schedule, I was able to find a time in one of their many options to become certified as an Open Water Diver. The team was awesome to work with, and they really helped me become confident as a diver. I would highly recommend going to this shop, especially because they are all so knowledgeable and experienced.
Very willing to work with your schedule to get certified. Knowledgeable instructors. Instructors are happy to help and want to make sure you are comfortable. I highly recommend them.
These guys are terrific! They are extremely knowledgeable, love what they do and can help you get into the sport or charter a sweet trip. Use them!
Had to get my son certified in two weeks and three instructors all came together to accommodate us and get it done. Great place.
This is a great establishment! The people that run the place are super friendly and helpful! They also have awesome trips that you can go on.
Patient, helpful, and they do a great job of preparing you for actually diving, not just the theory. Couldnt be more pleased. Will be bringing my kids here when its time for them to learn.
Love this dive shop!! Tony is so nice and honest and always super helpful.
These guys rock! Been using dive shops in Utah forever. Always Friendly, always uberawesome! They care and will take care of you!
Looked everywhere for some bands on my old speargun. Called up here and they had exactly what I needed in-stock. Great service and very friendly. Thank you!
Just try to scam you and take your money. Always try to do most expensive deal to save their own butts. Trashy place do not recommend
If youre looking to get Open Water certified for vacations or what-have-you, their class is very sufficient. I got my OW here, and have progressed in my diving career since then.Getting my gear servied here, however, was a nightmare. I wont go into too much detail, but I ended up being forced to just pick the darn regulator set and BC up myself and taking it elsewhere after they sat on them for over two months, despite knowing I had a deadline. Still charged me quite a bit for no service, just taking apart the BC inflator hose. Oh, well. Also, dont bother renting tanks from here. They are underfilled 100% of the time, and thats not an exaggeration. Ive seen the back room where they fill the tanks while the tech was doing so, and I realized then that theyre always underfilled because they arent filling them correctly. They dont chill the tanks while they fill at all. I rented about 6 tanks for Blue Lake before deciding to rent tanks here again. Im not driving 2 hours to a dive site just to have underfilled tanks with questionable (or sometimes ruined, but thats why you carry extra) O-Rings.Basically, OW classes are good. Im sure AOW classes are fine, too. But service is lacking. Ive also overheard some unsettling, rude comments from some of their instructors, but thats a different story. Since Ive started tech diving, however, I wont come here for anything other than small, menial things due to them being conveniently located. If you just want to learn how to vacation dive, this shop will accomadate you plenty. But, thats about it. Id probably give lower stars if I didnt appreciate the OW class.
Got scuba certified here. Great people and experience. Good to work with.
Tony was great to work with. I would definately recommend him.
It was AMAZING!!!!! I went to every other dive shop in utah and they were horrible compared to North American Divers!@@@ Tony was amazing and very nice. I am thinking about getting certified there!!!! :-)
Driving down the 15 and a driver or owner from the company is bullying everyone on the road. Not sure how they run their business but Id stay away!
Waited for 10 minutes while employee talked on phone to a supplier without acknowledging me. I just had a quick question about a product, but couldnt stick around to wait.
I have gone to Cozumel and Palau width Tony in the last couple years and had an amazing time! I am looking forward 2 more destination Dives with them every year!
Great service, very friendly!
These guys are awesome
