Probably (in my opinion) one of the most wholesome Mexican markets in Utah. Theres a restaurant in there from what I remember and the food is very filling. If you are Hispanic like myself, I recommend this place a lot. I might be a bit biased since I always went here when I was younger, but I assure you they have a lot of fresh ingredients despite being smaller than the average market.

Now I understand why my daughter always wanted to go there. I hadnt eaten at their restaurant because we would usually just get some pastries etc. And some boxed paella which I didnt find today. Anyway, I was very hungry and so decided to just order something at their restaurant. WOW!! not even the disappointment of not finding the paella could dampen my spirits. I ordered the Flautas and Caldo de res blanco It hit spots I didnt even know I had, lol. It was soooo delicious! And it even tasted healthy :) What a treat! I highly recommend it if you like authentic Mexican food : There are other good Mexican food restaurants in the area and although this is not your typical restaurant, their flautas and caldo blanco were superb!!

I just relocated from the U.S./ Mexico border. I am searching for good Mexican markets. This one was just like they are on the border. Maybe not the average American cup of tea with floor set up, but was clean with respectful and kind staff. Just....a LOT of product in a small space. It was a nice visit.

Very dissapointing, the management should keep inventory up to date. Prices on items dont necessarily match what you pay at the register. You might end up paying more as you dont have visibility to a screen to see what youre buying and how much youre paying for it.It needs better restructure and control.

I have been customer for the last 10 years.Every year we purchase masa para tamales 60-80 lbsUnfortunately, for the last two years we have noticed a change in quality. Masa to soft with extra water and not well processed. Still the masa taste it’s very good just hard to apply.Prices on some basic ingredients for menudo and tamales are higher than Rancho Market.Example Maseca at Rancho Market 2 x $5 bagMasa at El Mexicano $5 each bagWe purchased couple Cakes and have egg shells in them..!Quality is going down and prices are going up.

Great store horrible restraunt. The cashiers are very nice and professional everytime that I come here. They have virtually everything in the store. The restaurant inside however is run by annoyed women who know nothing about customer service or manners. Would not eat there again but will continue to do my grocerie shopping here.

If you are looking for anything in latin/Mexican food this is the place. From the butcher shop to the freshly baked sweet bread they have it all. Located on state street its easy to miss. They have a great selection of Mexican candies also and cookies as well as some cream cheese and jalapeno filled French bread, one of my favorites. If you get a chance stop on in and see what you think.

You can tell this place is authentic because of all the trucks in front :) be prepared to speak Spanish (or use your best pantomime). There are all the classic Mexican things you might want to buy, including an amazing pandaria with fresh breads, a juice bar, cakes, and piñatas! Also fruits you cant find anywhere else (giant mangos!) I even go there for plastic ware- less than $2 for 100 forks/spoons. ¡Me encanta!

They have tortillería so they always have fresh tortillas. They have carnicería and even a food court with authentic meals. You can also find a lot of Mexican and Latin American groceries like no other place in Utah, great selection and all those hard-to-find items most likely you will find them here.Edit: I just took one star away since their panadería is not as good as it used to be anymore and now they have competition in town which is far better.

Absolutely love this place. Bakery is a highlight and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Amazing how much theyve packed into this size space. Anything you could want from Mexico or Central America can be found here. Parking can be a challenge, but Ive always found a space if I wait a minute or two. Definitely not the dire situation some reviewers have portrayed. I go there at least once a week and always walk out with a smile on my face.

Review №49

Pretty authentic Mexican experience here. The baked goods are pretty much what you would get from a bakery in Mexico. Also, there is a lot of selection of products that you would find in Mexico. The drawback you find in a lot of places like this is that a lot of what they carry has aged a bit too much. That isnt really a problem here somehow. As far as their produce, I would look elsewhere first. Not great selection or freshness.

I love the food in this place, prices are very compatible the best thing they have is their bakery and their meat is always very fresh, the reason I give this store two stars review is for their parking lot is so small and is so hard to get in and out of it!!! thats the only reason I stoped going to this store 😫.
