Nice store very organized and its very well stock . customer service was great a young man approach me before I was to ask for service assistance and he help me find what I was looking for.Very courteous and professional.

I had a bad experience with a sales person called Liam at the Orinda store on Apr 6, 2020.I saw a watch battery on True Values website for $3.99 and went down to pick it up. The stores price was $4.79 which puzzled me. I tried to reconcile the pricing with the cashier, Julianne and asked a few questions. An option was to order the product but wasnt arrive if I order online and pickup at the store. Liam was annoying and said I should just go buy from somewhere else if I didnt like the price. So much for supporting our local stores. Liam should not be on the front line if he has an attitude. Julianne, to her credit, was a little taken aback by his comments. Shes nice but cant say the same for Liam. His comments was totally uncalled for...

I loved the place and all the customers and workers were nice

I have spent a fair amount of money here. It is close to a couple of clients. Their staff, mostly young people know practically nothing about construction. They are also not the friendliest staff . The store engages in price gouging and has a mediocre selection of product. One person gave me the wrong price for a product and when I went to purchase and saw the difference I chose not to go through with the sale. Unfortunately it had already been rung up so they had to refund the amount. Of course the original sale was immediately taken from my account but the return takes more than 3 days. Other than convenience there is no reason to shop here.

They had exactly what I needed, found it fast and got out of there quickly! Its very nice to have a local hardware store that saves me time and money over driving to one of the big box stores for 6 small metal screws and washers!

Great little hardware store. I was only purchasing a $4 item but had someone go well out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed to make it work. Great staff, excellent service.

IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF COME TO THIS PLACE! Went in to buy a torque wrench. The price was $89.99 in store and after tax was $97.24. I was shocked to find the exact same wrench online for $30! Its $67 more than the wrench online. A complete rip off do not come to this place.

Staff friendly and helpful today. Didn’t even know there was a downstairs...Brian was very helpful helping me match up all the right nuts and bolts for my cabinet hardware. Thanks. New in area...nice to have a local hardware store.

I like local hardware stores, and this is certainly one, so it gets good marks. That said, another reviewers criticism that the employees here tend to be high school or college-aged, and not be knowledgeable about what theyre selling, is on target. Id be sad if it closed, because going here has saved me a lot of longer, more frustrating rips to Home Depot - but this is absolutely NOT one of those old-timey hardware stores with a wise owner looking to dispense advise on tools.

Ive had to return to items here, and have had a problem each time. The first time I was specifically told that I could return a tool I was purchasing if I didnt use it. When I tried to return it the manager gave me a hard time but in the end gave me credit. This last time I was sold an item that was incompatible with my intended use, based on an employees recommendation. We had had the packaging apart and when I returned apparently a part was missing. Since I had not opened the packaging between leaving the store and returning to the store it had to have been missing from the start, or fallen out while I was in the store. This time the manager refused to issue a refund. I will never shop here again.
