This location of Barnes&Noble is a bit far from where we live, we stopped by to check their new nonfiction selection. A few employees stopped and ask me if I need help which is very nice. The place is quiet and peaceful. I always like to get my book n stick around for a cup of coffee to read first few chapters . I think I like most about this place that it wasnt very busy and quiet unlike the Barnes&noble in Plainfield.I might drive extra 15 minutes to stick with this store .
I went to 2 different Barnes & Noble stores and neither of them had a very current Life special edition magazine. Neither did they have a very popular reference book. This has happened on several occasions. The special edition magazine was available at the local Jewel food stores.
If you enjoy books, this is the place to go. I found great gifts for people here, even other things besides books
Ive been visiting this Barnes and Nobles since around the early 2000s and Im sad to say that these days the store is looking more and more sparse. They still have a large selection of books and media, but there are small changes which show the decrease in inventory. Also, finally after YEARS theyve fixed the escalator!!!All in all, this store holds a very deep place in my heart.
For people who prefer paper copies it’s a Good place to buy books, magazines and media. The store Is clean and organized and the starbucks is there to enjoy a coffee while checking the books. Now, the search, reference and customer service on the floor needs lot of help. I searched for two titles. One was unavailable at the store, but it was available at the different store, and according to the store associate, there was no way to order from that store. Another title, which was an international best seller, was allegedly “unavailable” and an associate who did the search, looked annoyed by my enquiry and didn’t put much effort to find out more about it.
I prefer library, but my family have a traditional, we every year celebrate first day of school beginning. And kids love to buy favorite books out of Barnes &Noble. They love this place
Still a great bookstore although the layout has been changed. The childrens section is now upstairs along with the clearance section (although its not called clearance anymore). Good bargains, bestsellers, and everything in between. My favorite is the Lego section upstairs with complete sets available! My son wanted me to get three sets right off the bat but I couldnt get the larger ones he liked. Will start off small and if he can complete those, we can work our way up. Great place to browse and buy!
Nice and neat. No greeting when enter or at the register. I truly expected better customer service here. No one ask if we finding everything or did we find everything okay. I love excellent customer service but I didnt get that here. And as we was purchasing the associate stop to send a box upstairs from the elevator.
Friendly customer service. Good variety of books for every age.
Very disappointed in the store. Used to be so much better.
This place has a large selection of books and the gluten free options at Starbucks just made the trip that much better. Customer service was very helpful.
Reading books Is a beautiful, relaxing hobby the only thing that makes it better is Starbucks coffee... I live to read while sipping on a ice cold chai tee latte... heaven.
Employees are very helpful when you need help otherwise you can browse all day. Great selection of books for everyone. Love the childrens section, from infants on up.
Love the Barnes & noble the place was very clean and friendly and they had the book I have been looking for I was very happy with my vist!! Rate this 10 stars instead of 5
We love the smell of Barnes and Noble and also great selection of books.
The customer service was great and the store was very neat and clean.
Love book stores. Large childrens section. I love looking at the physical books. Its easier for me to pick new authors being able to browse the book jackets.
I dig this store. And to shop for books physically and tangibly as opposed to electronically is without compare.
We go there to buy manga. My teen kids love it every time they go.
Great spot for a great coffee and a good book!
Awesome place, staff always goes above and beyond to help find something if you’re unable to locate it !
Looking for new reading material. Has a place to sit and also to buy a coffee
GREAT LAYOUT & VARIETY OF OPTIONS FROM BOOKS TO TOYS
Clean and nice but out of the book I wanted!
Love my books. We i go there I feel like a kid in the candy store. So peaceful in there the staff is very helpful
Coping voice here excellent
Fantastic! I love coming here. They have a huge variety of things. If they dont havw it they can order it and it arrives pretty quickly.
Its nice 😌🙂☺👌😊👍
My son Jared loves these music selection that Barnes and nobles in orland park has ! He and his girlfriend Martina were very happy to see many presents from here for Christmas ! I am so late 2 review ha ha I just got my New Phone !!! very nice store thankyou ! - Judy
Always has been an upscale and pleasant experience.
Great store with a lot of items in stock.
I was disappointed it just seems like they have not been able to get up to speed. I believe with the pandemic that they lost a lot of the customers
Got a great laptop pad...but stick to books and accessories my Mocha from on-site Starbucks was mediocre.
Great place, relaxing and peaceful here
Its nice to go into an actual bookstore rather than buy online. I wish they didnt charge $$ for signing up for discounts.
A variety of all kind of books excellent
I went here looking for a specific book for a Christmas present and it was really busy. I walked up to customer service and the man at the counter was really nice in telling me exactly where I could find my book. Everything was organized and there was hand sanitizer and 6ft apart guidelines everywhere. My only issue was regarding some staff members who were gossiping a lot, making me a little hesitant in wanting to go up and ask for help. But not a big deal still a great location regardless.
So glad there’s still an actual book store around. Thank God
A nice and cozy place, but pleasant.
Awesome book store. Excellent service 👏🏾
Nice book store.
Very clean and neat. Good selection. Very peaceful atmosphere
Things that make you go, hummm! Whats up with that. Not one kjv bible with apocrypha in the house!!!??? Must admit the staff was very accommodating with in store purchase and delivery of my purchase.bruvone54😷
Travel Section a map or travel book for Michfgan or Wisconsin
Great Afternoon getaway for readers!
Nice cafe relatively
Just shut it down, they had no books. Just other on Amazon
Great selection of books, and staff is helpful if needed.
Looks like the place is going out of business. Price reductions galore the only thing keeping B&N alive.Understand its after Christmas and YES you have to move product asapto (Hopefully) bring in Items for 2021. Place looked messy and NATURALLY...Starbucks inside the shop will not allow Seat n Sip your brew or read or talk thanks to Gov.Porkster and his pal The Covid Kid Hope B&N survives.
Love this location! Excellent customer service at checkout and friendly helpful workers assist in finding items.
Cashier there makes me extremely uncomfortable. went on a long anti mask rant with a customer and took his mask off to talk, then said “they can wait” when the customer pointed out we were waiting. Also bought a certain book and felt the need to push his political agenda while there.
A breeze to find exactly what I was looking for.
I was a nice experience.
Theyre always so helpful here! I can find wonderful gifts for friends and family (and ALWAYS something new and interesting for me too).
Love Bookstores!!!! Could spend all day here!
With Borders going under that left B&N as the lone survivor here. The store reminds me Borders with lots of inventory and good prices. The music section has a lot of records and cds to choose from
Just like pre covid. Could not get coffee until after book shopping. Well organized and staff sanitizing.
I found a wonderful planner the people who work there are so hospitable and gracious it was an pleasant visit
Love the staff!!
Awesome employees. Helped me find what I needed
Only concern I have is they ask for membership phone number. To get the discount but then tell you the membership cost $25.
This is a great store the layout magnitude inventory I will be buying from them for a while
Barnes & Noble was great. So many books to choose from games, videos, Starbucks... they have more than what youd expect
Customer service was great.
I love it! They have Kpop albums, but I was disappointed because they didnt have TWICE albums. They only have NCT, BTS, and SuperM. Overall, they have really good book. You could buy gifts, and they also have a cafe.
Great store great employees, and everyone there was safe with Mask and social distancing
Very comfortable, everyone there is chilled, wearing their mask and being respectful. The sci-fi section is a bit small but enough to discover something interesting.
Small selection of African American authors. Very disappointing 😞
Good, its nice to still see books
A great place to go when you want to sit down and read a book. Good and reasonable prices. Have delicious food at the Starbucks upstairs. Definitely would recommend.
Great bookstore and cafe!!! Prices are excellent and so is the staff. Glad they are still open. I love a good hardcover or paperback versus reading online!
I can stay in the store for hours just to find one book that I am intrested in and them walk out with one purchase an absolutely being satisfied
The employees were smiling, happy, and helpful on the day after Christmas! Nice and clean . Good selection . Plenty to pick from. Bathrooms were clean . The store was clean (vacuumed) and there wasnt an array of misplaced books the day after Christmas! What bookstores should look like.
Helpful staff. Quick checkout. Organized. Clean. Visually appealing. Lots of sale items.
Great place to find just about any kind of thing related to most hobbies. They have a great record selection with some classic gems Ive been looking for. Some stuff can be a little pricey but you at least get it then and there. There was one employee who explained the actual benefits and discounts of the paid membership. He won me over and saved me almost 20 dollars. Overall great place with helpful employees.
Friendly service, nice clean store in Orland Park
Great friendly staff and the barista was awesome.
Didnt even know this place existed anymore. Clean and organized. Speedy checkout. Wanted a bargain book for $20, but thought it was too much. Was leaving and saw the same book with a $10 tag on it - had to look twice. Bought it. So Im wondering how they mark down things. 😕
Beautiful store! So much to see! Stopped by the service desk, a helpful man looked on line for the book I wanted in paperback. Said it would be out in March, then he directed me to similar books. He also looked up 2 authors for me so I could find their books easily! Wonderful store to browse in, also has a snack bar. Enjoyable experience! Left with four books!
If youre a book lover, this is one of the last few slices of bookstore heaven left. The selection here is huge and organized pretty nice. Anytime Ive ever sought out a book, Ive always found it. You can also find a few gems on clearance. You can pick up coffee and pastries on the second floor, along with an area to sit down and enjoy your refreshments. Vinyl collection is growing as well, but many are a little pricey. Still its a nice addition, and Ive picked up a few albums.Ive yet to have a bad encounter with staff. Always been professional and friendly. You can call and have a book put on hold, which is great when that hot book is released. Becoming a member saves you a few bucks if you are and avid reader.Yeah, Amazon is a little cheaper, but Id spend the extra money to keep one of the last large bookstores around.
I love the store
I love this place
Best deals on books around. And the location is perfect for stopping on the way home. Love this place!
True Crime Non-Fiction Section
Love B & N. I want it to open. My kids love books. Why aren’t they open?
This is in a great shopping center with lots of stuff nearby and it’s close to the mall. The lower level is relatively small, but you will find the bargain books and the kids section. Upstairs is a lot larger with a good Starbucks next to the windows (with a view of course) and all the other books. It’s a typical Barnes and Noble, but location really gives it that something extra. So much to do in walking distance.
Very disappointing visit. Manager on duty was harsh and rude in her barking communication, store under staffed and poor customer service. Was not able to locate items needed, won’t be going back any time soon
Had the book I needed & more
Loved this place! I went in for the first time in about 10 years recently. Loved the selection of books and all of the games and educational stuff they had on the 2nd floor. Cant wait to go back.
Clean and everyone is very helpful thank you
It was great! Very nice attentive customer service. She took us to where we needed to be and helped us out completely. I loved it.
This is a great Barnes and Noble location. Very helpful employees if you are looking for a partner item. The second floor cafe has Starbucks coffee and Cheesecake Factory deserts, and nice sandwiches. Great view too!!
