Love African and Caribbean food? This is the place to be. Food is fresh, healthy and affordable. Store location is in the heart of the city. Excellent customer service. Very highly recommended.
Quite expensive but you may get African foods and recipes there. It worth the price though for you to get the true African taste
Didnt even want to give them one star!! I called them and they were very rude! I ask price of a product and I was told that I couldnt have the price over the phone . So then I asked if they had online pricing and they also told me no in a very terrible rude tone! Only reason I wanted the price is because I live pretty far from them. An I wanted to know the price before I drove that far. The man that I spoke to was over the top rude with me for no reason. Im glad the showed there rudeness before I actually drove that far. I will never spend my money with them or for that matter will I ever tell anyone to buy from them. I try to support black owned businesss and this is the treatment I get!!! Just terrible!!!👎👎👎👎
They have all u need in any African home. But oh my goodness they are high prices 😳, from a lady from Houston tx on my
Extremely rude! I asked her why the items in her freezer were not priced. She started raising her voice. She told me that shes the only one around who sells those items and if Im not happy i should go get them in NY. She was not going to kill herself putting a price on all the items. She has kids my age etc....all of that because she was super rude and I told her she was. Mind you, all my stuff was rung and my bank card was in her hands. She threw the card back at me and said she was not going to sell anything to me. Im never going back!!
This place has got a little bit of everything you may want or need. I just moved to Orlando so I initially stopped by to get some black soap. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many products from back home (Barbados & Nigeria). They have all of the ingredients you would need to make any soup in Nigeria. They have meat, vegetables, seasonings, garri, pounded yam, and ground nuts. They also have Nigerian movies, soaps and other toiletries. The gentleman who checked me out respectfully called me sister and said he was Nigerian. Stop by for all your Caribbean and African needs!!
Definitely much pricier items than even DC. Very impatient store owner, unsure what the deal was with her rushing me to check out as I was trying to find a specific item. MAYBE she thought I was trying to steal?? Also, please clean the store this is the dirtiest African store I have been in ...
EXCELLENT!!! Yes over the phone they can be rude but honestly I believe its just in their tone and they run their business how they would like. Once I got to the store I was greeting and helped graciously. It was worth my 30 minute ride and the O-Town traffic!!!
Empty store, not enough variety of products. It was our first time in this store and would not come back.
This place has all kinds of African Foods from different parts of Africa. The husband and wife team are nice and helpful. Prices are a bit high on items you can get cheaper at either WalMart or your local West Indies store just down the street that is selling some of the same items. The place is kind of old and dinghy and hit dark. But clean.Im giving this Review 4 Stars.
Good variety of African foods but a bit expensive. I was greeted by the folks that worked there.
I can almost get everything I want herePrices are affordable the lady is nice and friendly
Extremely rude. I asked why the bottles of apetamin cost more with card as opposed to cash, and I was told the apetamin wasn’t his product so he has to make his money back. Which I get, but that doesn’t make sense in that scenario. Anyhow, he told me if I wanted it to buy it, if not leave. So I left. I knew better after reading reviews but this is why Black owned businesses go out so bad.
BEST place to get Fufu, Palm Oil and Condensed Milk - thats about all they carry. And more Fufu. Did I say that the owner is RUDE ? Like RUDE RUDE
Nice place if youre looking for your red palm oil or your African Honey this is the place to go
Just the right place to find anything you need from Africa. Store owners are very nice and friendly.
Not clean. Smelled like food that went bad. Didn’t find what I was looking for. No one greeted me.
For the needed known West African food merchandise on this side of Clermont and Orlando it serves as a wonderful market source. Now my main choice for my most needed food shopping. Adupe!
The price is crazy but good product specially the sniper....
Rude people that work here and they overcharged me for apetamin and the lady couldn’t even work it out for me what’s 5$ Less than what I been paying ? And I drove an hour to get there won’t never be back ! Dead bugs on the floor and me and my friends had bug bites on us when we left wasn’t even there for 5 minutes
African food stuff. The Benin woman is nice! Great people
Nice shop
A little bit expensive otherwise, clean and friendly.
Nice, helpful and friendly lady attended to us. Youll find most items you require to create common Nigerian dishes. However, the shop can do with better organisation and arrangement.
Amazing store! For all Caribbean and Africans -- THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
Good food you cant find nowhere else from different country friendly employees good prices clean store
Nice all you want but little bit pricey.
Great selection, knowledgeable staff
Very helpful and many African products especially Red Oil!
A store where to get all your African food stuffs. Its kind of home away from home.Check it out.
Authentic african store run by nice people! Wide variety of products that would be difficult to find anywhere else!
The owners are sooo friendly and they have Pure Black African soap and Apetamin which I couldnt find anywhere! But found it here for a great price!
Nice place but most items doesnt have a price tag which is not right
The guy is sooo rude. Never again
Great place to shop very all the ingredients in Africa! We travel 2 hours just to come here.
The best African Supermarket around! My dad loves the kenkey here, Bels shitto is amazing, and my favorite chin-chin is sold here.
I was very happy to find out about this place but lets be honest, their items are waaayyy overpriced
As a previous resident of Houston, TX, where there is a larger demographic of west african residents, finding a gem like this in orlando is just great. Whenever I crave nigerian home cooking, I come here to gather supplies. There is no other store in orlando that Im aware of, this is why I am a steady customer. The owners are very nice. She always calls me Papa Africa. :) I feel like a son everytime I walk in.
Great place to buy African foodstuffs.
VERY EXPENSIVE! ITEMS ARE OVER PRICED. IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY THEN GO SPEND IT THERE...
This is worst African store I have been too, the customer service is terrible. They sold a product that has been tested and confirmed to cause health problems, I tried to return it and they said “ALL SALES ARE FINAL” even though they clearly just posted the sign. I have never heard a grocery store say all sales are final. Please buy your African products online or when you go out of state or a different city in Florida..
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Omg crazy these people are money hungry over price items
My mom get what she wanted... This place is like a whole in the wall...
The owner was friendly and answered our questions. Also, the black soap, shea butter, palm oil, and coconut oil served my family well.
I would honestly not even rate them a 1 star, Im never one to leave negative reviews on anything but whoever answered the phone was very rude. I just called (first time)asking for a product and I guess they had someone else ask for the same product before me, the man told me I already told you no we dont have that and can you please dont call again with an attitude. Well at least he said please
We drive an hour to shop here... They have everything you need to make African food... Especially Nigerian food. The owners are friendly but the prices sometimes can be inflated and inconsistent.
Has a variety of selections and good customer service
The owner is always so welcoming.
Not really sure what they consider a store but, that is not one.
They could have more stuff there!
Not enough room to move around with a cart in the store
Charges a $2 fee to swipe card. Needs improvement in customer service.
Friendly service
The place is awesome
