Clean, smokeless, very nice dive bar. Friendly bartenders. Lots of tvs for sports watching and even a package liquor store. Food us very good.

The bar is never packed when I go. The staff is nice. My friend and I go there for the drink specials. My friend had 2 tequila drinks and her tab $2.93.

Great people here! That includes the bars owners and their seasoned staff, plus the regular group of customers & locals who have been the core support of this family-owned business for a long, long time now. Also, they have like 8 really nice pool tables. A great place to shoot pool with my buddies! I highly recommend checking this bar out if looking for a place in Orlando that rocks and where the locals hang out!

George’s is a unique place that attracts locals and regulars. From the old pictures on the wall and the stories of its history, George’s is one of the oldest bars in Orlando. Stories say that Georges was a happening place with bands and DJs for its large stage accompanied by its lower level dance floor. They say Georges had cookouts outside for events and parties outside at the large back patio that has a bar and concrete tables with a huge built-in grilling pit. And to top it all off, they have plenty of parking.  So what happened?Georges seems like it was a happening place. They are truly set up for being northern Orlando’s best live entertainment and nightlife location, which can only be found downtown in the heart of the city.Now the stage has dartboards and tables. The dance floor is covered by a pool table and video games. Most of the seating area is filled with pool tables. The only entertainment is a jukebox and TVs.  The patio has a TV and music pumped outside but it is where the smokers go. And it seems like the same 15 to 25 people are there every night. They host pool leagues which brings more regulars and locals but its always the same people. Dont want to mention the food only that it is a very limited hit-and-miss menu, affordable, and prepared by the bartenders. The attached liquor store is an interesting feature.As for today, like said earlier, Georges is a unique place. Drink prices are cheap, cheapest in the area. And they have daily specials to make the drinks even cheaper. The bartenders are cuties. Patrons are all types, races and genders. Some professionals, many blue collars, and a riffraff or two. A good place to have a drink and people watch, play a game of pool (still $1), and hopefully hear a song you like. But what happened to this place? George’s could be so much more.

Claim to fame is being Orlandos oldest bar. The burgers do not live up to The Prestige of being the oldest bar however. I will say that it is a nice Dive Bar kind of atmosphere for lack of a better way of putting that. Its a smoking bar as well so those are a few and far between for those that smoke. Kind of funny that theres a vegan restaurant right across the street that is the exact polar opposite of this.

Large space inside, attached liquor store. Plenty of parking with a back yard hangout. Clean overall, but bathrooms could use some serious maintenance and cleaning. Prices were moderate, bartender friendly..

Never know who youll see in this place. Its been here since I was born. My parents have frequented this place as much as I have. Its an occassional spot for us. For events like birthdays, after the game or just a quick spot to meet up. One of the best cheesesteaks around! Cocktails as poured just right!

Place is a joke. A money laundering business! They are not interested in their customers. Liquor store they added is at least 10.00 more than the item. Ive been there when the management was fun and wanted business but now its over. If you want to ruin ur night, try this dump. They will be very helpful in doing just that! Worst place in having a good time

Its easier not to go back even though i have went there forever. I give up. A few bad apples in the day. Nights are fine. Day dont seem interested in preserving business during these trying times. I try to be fair and go diff places but they are out of my rotation daytime wise for the near future

Georges Bar on Edgewater is a really laid back place where one can enjoy ones buzz...

Always a great place to socialize! Friendly staff and patrons. Everybody cares about everybody else and are quick to lend a hand if you need one.

First, dont judge Georges by its exterior. It is nicer inside than out. My friends and I went for some Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. Not as good as Laspadas; but, not bad. The bread was good and the meat was good, but it seems to me the cheese was put in the bun and then the meat on top. I feel the cheese should be grilled with the meat and mixed in before being placed in the bun.I cant speak as to how their drinks compare to other bars. So, Ill have to go back and give them another chance.

I had a great experience until sum lil skinny waitress with black hair came over and tried to embarrass me about having a cup of ice I bought out of their liquor store thats attached to the bar. I wasnt even using the cup it was for my use after. But she made it her business to come over n was very condescending in her words. I didnt like it and personally she is not good for the brand

Went on a friday night for a couple games of pool. Chill place. Cheap drinks. Attached to a liquor store. Friendly bar tenders. Some random guy called next game on our table and won so we had to go to another table lol but it was fun.
