This hands down one of the best coffee’s I had in the United States. The Cortado was amazing. It was not over powering (bitterness and sweetness) but it was frothier. I got their blueberry waffles as well. They were really good. Half a portion will fill you up. The staff were friendly and polite. It’s a must visit coffee place in the Daytona Beach area.
I love this coffee shop! So cute, awesome coffee, very cool atmosphere! I hope they can add some more seats so we can have a place to work if we want to. It’s crowed and some times no tables available. I’m sure it will bring more business :)MUST visit if you are in town!
Don’t get me wrong the coffee is very good but they do not open at 7 they need to change it to like 7:30. The first time I ever came was at around 7:30 and not a single soul was there I checked and yes they were supposed to be open. The second time I went was at 7 and there was a person in there but didn’t open till about 7:15
This place is AMAZING. Quickly became my usual coffee shop when I moved to Ormond. The staff is top notch and the cinnamon sugar iced oat milk latte is *chefs kiss*Skip Starbucks & support local
My mom and I went to this shop because of the great reviews, and it definitely did not disappoint! We both had the rise & shine bagel — which was very yummy and a perfect size (not too small, not too big). I had an iced latte with caramel, which was so rich and delicious. My mom said her brew of the day was also really good. Definitely would recommend!!My only suggestion really is that since this place seems to be very vegan + environmentally friendly (the compostable straws, ect), perhaps they could cut down more on the plastic cups & really be a leader in the community for that. Regardless, definitely stop by!
SO happy to find this place! I am from out of town, and was super thankful to find a local place with great coffee (and close to the beach!) I tried the iced coconut lavender tea (yum!) and toasted coconut latte w/oat milk (delish!) The pastries also hit the spot. It’s hip, trendy, and has really nice folks working there. Skip the ‘bucks and do yourself a favor!!
Cool vibes. comfortable seating. the baristas have laid back personalities and are all make incredible espresso beverages. theres also a selection of fresh baked items (muffins, bagels, biscotti). enjoyable remote work location without lots of distraction.
This is a wonderful gem downtown Ormond! We loved the toasted coconut iced lattes! They make everything in house so the flavors are rotated out often. The vegan coconut yogurt was delicious!!
Iced green tea, iced vanilla coffee, bagel delicious. Nice service, place is clean and cozy. We enjoyed sitting by the big glass window...
Really good coffee shop. Came over to spend the day in Ormond Beach area and so glad I heard about Gold Leaf before I got there. Thoroughly enjoyed my Cortado. My wife and daughter had the lavender & coconut tea and hibiscus & honey teas. They enjoyed the teas also. Most of all we enjoyed the wonderful customer service. Anytime I am in the area I will be getting coffee here.
My son and I do weekly coffee shop tours in Maryland, so we are used to trying lots of different coffees and teas. He said the coffee was delicious; and I will tell you that the homemade chai tea was one of the best Ive ever had. The bagels are made there and are yummy. I got the fancy bagel....which was mozzarella, balsamic, tomato and basil (pulled from the plant in the window)...it was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the place.
If you want amazing coffee, go here. Genuine place filled with genuine people, beverages, and food. Best coffee Ive ever had. Thank you Gold Leaf!
Great coffee stop on our way south from St. Augustine. The reviews were not kidding when they said the coffee was fresh and tasty. I won’t hesitate to stop in again when we’re close by
I enjoyed going there every weekend with my wife and my daughter for waffles. I’m very disappointed that they did away with them. I would give the place five stars easily if it weren’t for this. The staff and the place are great otherwise and their waffles were very good. Incredible that they would get rid of them given that they were almost always selling out by 10 am on weekends.
This is a cool little place, half coffee shop, half art gallery. The staff were courteous and professional. If you go, the parking is in back in a narrow gravel parking lot.
We are extremely fortunate to have a great local coffee shop here in Ormond Beach! I can only compare with the great coffee in Portland, Oregon, and Gold Leaf Coffee would fit right in with the best coffee spots in Portland. Im a creature of habit, so I have stuck with Americano and latte, and they are fantastic. Cant wait to try the homemade bagels.
Great coffee and some nice baked goods. The coffee is 5 stars, limited selection of food, but what they do have is excellent
Regular Wednesday stop for me to take a break mid-week. Ive stuck with the medium latte and the pour over coffee (Im a pour over kinda guy myself at home, so nice to find a local place that will take the time.)Atmosphere is relaxing, crowd is eclectic and chilled out, and indoor and outdoor options.
Unique menu with homemade bagels and vegan cream cheese. Good coffee too!
Excellent tea and coffee selection. Differences between offerings were well explained.
The service was ok, but the coffee was terrible. I ordered a regular cold brew iced coffee and my girlfriend ordered a latte. We both thought the drinks were not good. A waste of time and money, very disappointing! We will not be returning here.
I had high expectations upon entering Gold Leaf in regards to the shop itself. The coffee was pretty good however, I was disappointed that they were not able to make a macchiato. We were told they could only make lattes.
Great service and coffee! Did not realize that they closed early on Sunday’s and they did not even kick us out! So polite to the customers and they work so hard! Also, an amazing environment to work in!
We came in after hours and found that they have songwriters night every second Tuesday. Three talented featured songwriters from 6-10.THEN lets talk about the coffee from Gold Leaf which is right in the same building as Frame of Mind! Exactly the notes as described... but my friend decided to try the Affogato which should be priced far beyond $5 due to how delicious house-made ice cream and espresso are. The kind and helpful staff and creative art studio have a winning combination that will bring me back and I highly recommend.
My fave coffee shop. The staff is awesome. The coffee is perfect. Always on point.
Amazing coffee with great staff.very nice chill environment with all sorts of local art. In a very nice historic part of Downtown Ormond Beach. Very inexpensive and pretty popular place for the locals.
Best coffee in town! Great atmosphere and friendly server. Well be back ❤☕
One of the better local coffee places in a of Volusia. Kind staff and great drinks. Really good caramel latte.
Really cute place! It’s name (I’m assuming) comes from the fact it’s attached to a framing shop which is clever. However, you can’t really see that the coffee shop is a part of the framing shop from the back entrance. The food was amazing and the coffee was gourmet. We met the owner and she was a gem! ❤️
Wonderful coffee shop for a rainy Sunday morning. Plenty of choices for both Tea and coffee drinkers.
What a perfect little find. Wonderful coffee, excellent service, and plenty of space to work! Thank you! We will return!
Great coffee selection. Tasted very good.
Amazing coffee for a reasonable price with a pleasant atmosphere and staff that are friendly, courteous, and efficient
Good coffee but bagels need to improve in texture and size. A bit expensive for what you get.
Great little place I visit once I am in the area. Their shop can be easily missed if your not looking for it, but worth it with their coffee and food. Great employees and even with the virus going on they are doing a good job keeping you safe.
My daughter and I love love their coffee and atmosphere!
Best pour-over coffee in Ormond!
Got a little busy and overwhelmed so my order came out a little late however they contacted me and apologized as well as offered a refund and other things! Very nice place, good vibes. Recommend heavily.
This place is very neat! Great coffee, friendly staff, and cool set up. The outdoor patio is really cute and has a nice vibe. The inside is very aesthetic and has an art shop with really great work. The food is also tasty and fast service. Cool place for coffee.
Great expresso and pleasant atmosphere but I have to take off two stars because they won’t sell you the coffee they use to serve you. instead they only sell something from a local brewery that really isn’t very good or reliable.
Hands down the best local coffee shop I have found in Florida so far. Intricate paintings and frames, gorgeous leather and wood furniture. Not to mention the coffee - its insanely creamy, flavorful, and packs a punch. If youre a vanilla person, their housemade vanilla is a must-add. And the bagels! Do yourself a favor if youre in Ormond Beach and make Gold Leaf your first stop each morning.
As nice as they are the staff needs to be wearing their masks correctly (over nose and mouth) all day long inside. Also the staff that shares their space (Frame of Mind) were not wearing masks and half of the patrons. At this point in time, no matter how good a cup of coffee not worth getting Covid.
Great atmosphere, staff is excellent! Hailey makes an excellent latte.
Best coffee in town hands down. I try a lot of places and by far the best wish I found it sooner.
This is an update to my previous review raving about their waffles which are now officially off the menu . HUGE bummer and very disappointing because the waffles were the primary reason I’d go there. Don’t get me wrong, their coffee is great too and the baristas are very amicable and talented. But, the waffles were the best breakfast in town.I still recommend this place due to its chill vibe, tasty drinks, friendly baristas and fresh homemade bagels. Please bring your waffles back! lol.
Friendly staff and quaint atmosphere.
Very tasty local coffee shop! Good bagel!
Amazing coffee and vibes!
I SUPER loved the vibe, but dont love the space. Its so small! The coffee was pretty good and they use these adorable HUGE square ice cubes. The staff was also phenomenal. Honestly, I wouldve given them a lower rating if it werent for everything else being so on point. So good for them!
The definition of pretentious. Great location but you dont really need toB-llsh-t your customers that bad if your product is really that good. But thats where this takes you, the product is indeed not good. Pour brew coffee water should be near 200f to release the coffee oil and flavor. The water each cup I had was hot but not hot enough and my coffee each time tasted like water flavored with a smidge of coffee. I also dont need pictures drawn in the foam of my late. Avoid this stretch of Granada.
Are you looking for a good cup of locally roasted craft coffee? How about a pleasant place to meet a client or do computer work? This place is both and more. Would give more stars if allowed! Love each opportunity I get to enjoy this place.
Very good coffee and service. Ill be back for sure!!
Worker was incredibly sweet and made my drink perfectly! It was so tasty 10/10 would go there again!!
Some of the best coffee Ive ever had. Highly recommend.
After learning about Gold Leaf from a friend, I decided to make the trek from Port Orange to Ormond. Well, I had one of the best cups of coffee Ive ever had in my life, accompanied by a very chill atmosphere and an amazing barista dude that knew his way around a chemex. If youre on the fence about this place, dont be. Theyve just gained a customer for life! Love yall
Unique, hidden gem. Great outdoor seating. First date material!
First time stopping in, we will definitely be back.
LOVE the bagels and the coffee is out of this world! The Frame Shop features local artists and the coffee is locally roasted by Steel Oak!
Great environment in the shop, like the aesthetic. It took me away from the beachy vibe you get around the area. The pour over I ordered was good and the bagels they make themselves are great!
Loved the laid back and friendly service. Lots of friends come here to talk and enjoy a fine meal or snack. Or just a duper super coffee
The best place to get a cup of coffee in Volusia County! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fantastic; the shop shares space with an art gallery/custom framing shop and the aesthetics are gorgeous. The coffee is sourced from a local roaster, and it is prepared perfectly by the baristas. They also have the best handmade bagels! Give Gold Leaf Coffee a try - you will not be disapointed!
I just love this local gem! Best baristas ever!! So worth the wait! The lavender latte is a must! Ormond Beach is lucky to have such a great coffee shop!! Bonus is you get to look at beautiful art while you wait!
My favorite coffee place in the area. The cold brew is excellent. I enjoy the atmosphere and scoping out the ever changing art on the walls while waiting for my order. The home made bagels are always amazing. I even buy the coffee (which they grind for me) to go back home with me until my next trip in.
The coffee is simply the one of the best you can get anywhere. I try espresso drinks wherever I go and trust me I have tried way too many places. This place totally is par with the best. The ambience is very cool and relaxing. They have real ceramic cups which makes coffee tastes much better. Their roast is so well balanced with some chocolaty notes to it. People are humble and polite. I am so glad they opened. I drive 20 mins to get this coffee and its worth it.
Worst cup of coffee I may have ever had. 4 of us visited Gold Leaf on 9/22 and ordered 2 cappuccinos and 2 flat whites (one decaf, one regular). Of the 4, only the decaf was drinkable. I tried to return our coffees but my guests insisted that I did not. Not sure if the milk had turned or what the problem was, but much to our dismay, one of them smelled of seafood (no, Im not exaggerating)! We left 3 of the coffee mugs more than half full. A serious disappointment.
I LOVE small, local businesses like Gold Leaf. Now I will NEVER have to go to Starbucks to grab coffee out!! Located in the downtown, historic district of Ormond Beach, you can get delicious specialty coffees, tea (organic varieties available) and light fare (everything is homemade, local and fresh). The flavors for their coffees are made in-house from scratch (not out of a premade bottle and they get their dairy from a local, Organic dairy farm). Check out local art, then stroll around Ormond Main Street and check out the local shops and restaurants. Shop small, shop local, eat & drink local :)
Terrific place,,, great location.
What a cute little shop on the strip. So incredibly friendly and fun. Bagels are baked fresh each morning and some of their pastries come from next door, The (famous) Cakery. They also serve up a super legit pour over.
New Yorkers looking for really delicious strong coffee that lives up to our NYC standards, look no more.. This is the place. French press and all...
I stop here usually every Sunday morning after a bike ride. The staff is awesome, the coffee is delicious. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and sitting outside with a delicious cappuccino or latte. This is a no rush place, the way it should be.
Local Ormond vibe.
Nice little craft coffee shop in Ormond Beach. They serve coffee from a local roaster. Light food, opens into an art shop. Great to have local craft coffee here!
Great customer service, gave me information in the area that were also good
Delicious coffee, plus they have delicious bagels! Such a cute and chill atmosphere and venue! Fast service and a diverse menu.
Great little coffee place
Very bad service. Did not feel welcome. Takes forever to get a simple cup of coffee. Feel the staff discriminates against non-white people. You have to pay for your order first at the one register by the bar area and then you’ll get your order but they don’t explain it. No parking, not easy access to get there, since it’s heavy traffic just after you pass a bridge.
Wonderful staff. Great coffee. Locally sourced everything. If you are going anywhere else for coffee in ormond, youre making a mistake! Love it.
Best coffee in town! I worked at a coffee shop for 4 years and my salted caramel iced latte was quite possibly the best iced latte Ive ever had. Dont be fooled by lack of reviews...since they are a new shop. A must visit not far from Daytona Beach! All product is local and made from scratch.
Disappointing - deliberately saved this for our last coffee shop before leaving town. Drove by it twice before we actually saw it. Stopped to call and ask where to park, Turned around and followed the guys direction to park in back. Parking is extremely limited. The only open spaces were reserved(w sign) for other businesses. No idea how the coffee or anything else is because we didnt get to go in.I understand you have to work with the space you have but definitely need better signage and info about where to park.If we had known it was better suited for pedestrian or bicycle traffic we wouldnt have bothered to drive 20 minutes out of the way.
Great coffee shop with local art flair. The menu is dynamic for a local shop. The environment is very mellow and seldom crowded. My favorite coffee shop in the area.
Ive been here twice now and absolutely love it! The coffee is wonderful and I think the prices are more than fair. Highly recommend you try it!!!
I had the lavender coconut hot tea. OMG it’s was so Yummy! My sister had a coffee and it was by far the Best in town!!!!
This beautiful coffee shop is truly a must for all locals and visitors of the Ormond Beach/greater Daytona Beach area. The baristas are highly trained and friendly. Each menu item, ingredient, coffee, and espresso pull are intentionally curated to create an warm and nourishing experience for the customers.I love it because I am able to run and get a drink to go, or linger for a while to socialize with friends, do homework, or create.Shop small folx.
