Mobility Works in Ormond Beach, Florida has been a lifesaver for my husband and I. He has a T5,T6 spinal cord injury that has left him paralyzed from just below the chest down. His own personal vehicle that is equipped for him to drive is out of commission at this time and I cannot get him into my vehicle. We were in dyer straits as to how we would get him to his doctors appointments... we live in a very rural part of Florida and some of his doctors are about an hour and 45 minutes away. He stumbled across Mobility Works on the internet and saw that they rent wheelchair accessible vans so we gave them a call. So incredibly happy that we did! Weve been using them since August 2021...renting a van at least 2x a month for his appointments and weve had nothing but the BEST service from them! Amber is the absolute best...she is very compassionate and truly cares about her customers. They are VERY flexible and work with you in making your reservations...doing whatever they can to accommodate you to make your experience the best it can be. Amber goes above and beyond in making sure your experience is the absolute best it can be. Everyone there is very friendly and courteous! I would recommend Mobility Works in Ormond Beach, Florida to anyone! If I couldve given more than 5 stars...I would have!

Buyer beware. Below is our recent experience at MobilityWorks in Ormond Beach…. We brought our Honda with a VMI conversation. via an appointment, in for repairs as the ramp was not deploying. All other systems worked correctly. They advised the van needed “adjustments” and it would be $466.31. That seemed ridiculous for “adjustments” but when you have a paralyzed family member you need the van. It took them less than two hours to make the “adjustments and no parts needed. All labor. The sign in the lobby states labor is $139.00 per hour and no minimum stated. I was charged 3 hours when the job took less than 2 hours. When I complained I was told the book says three hours. At that point one would question how they determine the book charge on minor adjustments. In addition, I over heard the territorial manager ask the receptionist how I knew it was only two hours….hmmm. I was issued the $139.00 overcharge on the labor and the manager asked that I not return. He didn’t need to ask.

They came to pick up my van and that converting it with a platform elevator lift is fine. For just under 5 weeks they never got back with me despite telling me over and over they would get back with me. Finally I went there and recieved 3 different stories why they couldnt do it. They sent me an itemized bill as to how much it would cost etc. A week before I finally came to pick up the vehicle I was told on the phone we sold that vehicle. I said you must have the wrong person, then they claimed we cant convert it, we will tell you about it AFTER THE WEEKEND!!!??? I called right back and asked for the person who told me they could convert it and he just kept talking about the shoulder strap. Then he led me to believe it could be converted. I stopped in the Thursday after that and again got mixed reasons and topped it off with I dont know why we cant convert it. GIMMEE THE KEY. I SAID. GOOD RIDDENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad was in need of a scooter and lift. I called quite a few places to get the best deal I could for him. I spoke to Walter at MobilityWorks and he gave me great information on the lift I was looking to buy. He was very patient with all my questions and very knowledgable. He offered to come and pick up the van, get the lift installed and bring the van back to my dad. That was amazing to me!! Its hard for my dad to get around and this made it a ton easier. There was no charge for this service even though it was a 30 minute drive for Walter. AMAZING!!! That totally sold me on MobilityWorks. I bought the lift and the scooter from them. Walter picked up the van and brought it back the next day with the lift professionally installed and the scooter. He took his time showing us how it all worked. MobilityWorks does everything by the book with care and professionalism and most of all they care about the needs of their customers. I highly recommend MobilityWorks in Ormond Beach. No need to go anywhere else to find a company that cares about serving those who cant get around too easily. Thank you Walter & MobilityWorks!
